Hi guys - it must be a man thing, I think they are all the same.

I also get 'see what happens' drives me insane!!
At this rate I will be lucky to get a bfp as he works away all the time!
I feel everyone's pain :(
I'm getting some chocolate on the way home tonight (sod the diet) lol

I see I have miss another 2 BFP - Congratulations to you both x :)

MrsB2013 · 12/09/2013 16:34

Afternoon Ladies

Congrats on the BFP'S Clarey and Snooze Lets hope we have loads more on this bus.

Sorry to those af got and those that feel a bit down Flowers This ttc is more stressful than I thought it would be.

My DH is also pretty clueless at knowing there are only a couple of days you can actually conceive! This month has been a very slow start for me, Dh has been ill with man flu so we managed to dtd last night for the first time this cycle, I'm on CD16 today, so hoping we haven't missed the window! Last cycle, I think if I ovulated it was CD16/17 but not sure as I don't use opk's (yet)

Sparrowlegs248 · 12/09/2013 16:16

I am pages and pages behind.

disney my DH has been rubbish about dtd. He thinks we should carry on as normal and 'see what happens' grrr! We are in the early days C3, and i am sure he will still be of the see what happens attitude if i bring it up.

Trouble is, i am not good at initiating dtd!! I need to man up and get on with it.

Spirael · 12/09/2013 14:18

I may have to reconsider my testing schedule... I've had building nausea since mid-morning, just gagged at the smell walking past the fish counter at Morrisons and my breasts are sore. Hmm

However, all this could just mean I'm building up for the period from hell! The last few have been quite mild, so I am due a bad one.

I may have to test this weekend just so I know whether I can drink my way through it or not. Wink

If I did ov early, which might explain the early appearance of EWC, then I'd be on 10 DPO today.

Well done for BFing for those vital early weeks Choccy and then beyond for jessie! I'm somewhere in between... DD was born nearly three weeks early (I was only just within the sign off to have my home birth!) and arrived in < 5 hours.

It was so fast that my breasts didn't get the message to start the milk production quick enough. 3 days later it still hadn't come in! So we ended up mix feeding from relatively early, though I'd say she was mostly breast fed until I weaned her off at around 7 months, before I went back to work.

I'll actually be more relaxed about mix feeding next time around (assuming there is one!) as to me it seems to be the best of both worlds. :)

CoffeeGuzzler · 12/09/2013 13:52

I hate 2ww. The more relaxed I try to be, the more I can't be.

Choccywoccydodah · 12/09/2013 13:35

Aww, bless him Jessie, he just loves being close to his mummy :)
And don't give up yet re af! You're a long way off yet.......

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 13:34

I looked up implantation symtpoms again and they are all so close to pms symtoms, including mood swings Confused

I wish I had kept a diary or something for my last pregnancy to compare. I don't remember anything, tested around the day af was due, just because I happened to have a day off work and was out shopping so popped into boots.

I do remember getting very bloated early on though, not sure how early though Confused

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 13:27

choccy We were the opposite, ds was a milk monster and I reluctantly kept going as he was very attached to it. 2 years was my absolute max but I think ds would have gone on much longer if I had let him!

CoffeeGuzzler · 12/09/2013 13:23

Congratulations and celebrations Clarey and Snooze!!! Brilliant news.

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 13:19

Around the 20th...so the timings right for pms :( ah well

Choccywoccydodah · 12/09/2013 13:19

Just pin the feckers down and jump on their bloody willies ffs, men!! Wink

Spirael, I've got loads of Internet cheapies ready, so ill just test every other day from Saturday. I'm very impatient! However, last time I didn't get a positive til cd40!! I must've ov'd late!

Good luck with the weaning off breast Jesse. I had to give up when ds was 11 weeks as he had tongue tie when he was born, cut at 12 days, but it was such a struggle getting him to suck esp as I had to give him expressed in a bottle from 2 weeks to make sure he got some milk in him as he wasn't putting on any weight. Dh caught me crying in ds room as I was so knackered as feeding was taking hours and my back was constantly aching, so he said right that's it, you're not enjoying it we're are getting formula tomorrow! From then on ds was so much happier as he was getting all his milk and he started sleeping better too. He's never ever been ill, except teething colds so I am grateful I managed to feed him for as long as I did.
Fingers crossed I can feed the next one.
Well done you for feedin your ds so long :)

mama31 · 12/09/2013 13:15

Awh jessie I hope not!!!! When is your bfp due??

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 12:31

Oh no! Maybe I'm feeling down because I'm about to get pms :(

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 12:29

mama agree! Also order takeaway and get rid of the chores of cooking and washing up to help make time for it. That always works for us!

I'm a bit down today, have been gradually weaning ds off breastfeeding and I think he has finally finished. No breastfeeds for the last couple of days, and I feel quite strange about it. If he wanted to breastfeed again now I really wouldn't want to at all, whereas a couple of days ago I would have felt more neutral about it Confused

mama31 · 12/09/2013 12:24

Disney flirting in espanol.....even better ;)

mama31 · 12/09/2013 12:21

Flirtation is key to dtd regularly! Makes it fun and makes both of you want to do it and not see it as a chore or just dtd to concieve....I think that's important ladies :) spice it up and relight the fire ;)

DisneyDiva87 · 12/09/2013 12:20

Thanks Jessie I'll maybe do that with hubby, tell him when I say I want it I get it (and vice versa I suppose... it's only fair)

I've found Disney songs in spanish on spotify, I'm hoping to improve my spanish by listening to them, currently it's 'Voy a hacer todo un hombre de tí'

jessieagain · 12/09/2013 12:03

So great to hear some more bfps!

My dp was so shocked to discover there was only a small window to conceive in each month. He though that every time you had sex there was a very high chance of pregnancy....which is sort of what sex ed at school implies Confused

[disney] I don't go into specifics with dp about ovulation times etc but I just tell him that we have to make time to dtd every 2 days for the whole week mid cycle as it is the most likely time to conceive.

mama31 · 12/09/2013 11:41

charslingus thanks for that :) very helpful you are :) based on my last cycle which was 23days long, ovulation calculator advises I should ovulate from 9-13th of sept which would tie in opks having a 2nd line on sat 7th and sun 8th which is cd5 and cd6. With a 23day cycle expected ovulation is between cd6 and cd10. What do you think? Is this hopeful?

Disney/Gilly that sounds so tough :( hugs all round! Try to stay patient tho as men crack under pressure....keep it fun...and maybe build up through the day with txt msgs so that dtd is imminent soon as you both get home from work....see if that helps. Hard tho I know x

DisneyDiva87 · 12/09/2013 11:14

HA Gilly!! SNAP! Are you sure you're not me or I'm not you?

I'm feeling better now after my rant and I texted hubby to let him know I was upset this morning, I still don't think he gets it but we can talk about it at home.

OP posts:
jaykay987 · 12/09/2013 11:03

Gilly you just described me and DH! 5am-8.30/9pm is typical for us Monday through friday. Sleep takes priority! Always! Best chance I'll have is if I ovulate after a weekend!

I haven't explained the 3/4day thing to DH. I doubt he knows. As I didn't before we started ttc. Maybe he'll learn it from the Cb advanced OPK adverts on tv! Grin

I think if it takes more than another month. I'll have to explain it to him. I just don't want to add to the pressure! It's such a difficult situation!

GillyBillyWilly · 12/09/2013 10:36

Disney my hubby is the same but for different reasons perhaps... He just has a low sex drive and always has done! Actually I do too.. So we are a good match! We still have sex obviously... But we can go a week or more without sex and it doesn't bother us. Then we might have loads of sex.. Then not have any again for a while! Lol Grin
Makes dtd around ovulation hard cos sometimes we just aren't up for it. But we are getting there!
Our jobs/shifts etc dont help. We both get up at 5-6am for work and sometimes don't get home til 7-8-9pm. Tricky!

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2013 10:30

Sounds like a really difficult situation to be in Disney. Maybe he does need to know how low you are feeling but I can see why you'd find it hard to talk to him about it, especially if he already feels pressured. Could you tell him that you are prepared to stop using the OPK if that would make him feel a bit better, or is your Ovulation pattern not very constant?

GillyBillyWilly · 12/09/2013 10:29

Also if our bfp/AF is set to come when we think it is then we really DO need to get started as it probably means we will both ovulate Sunday/Monday. Sooooo.... We need to get shagging! Grin

GillyBillyWilly · 12/09/2013 10:13

Disney seems like you and me are in the same position!
No positive OPK yet... No dtd yet.. And just starting to notice a bit of EWCM! We need to get started Grin
