The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Sorry, and hi Feather!

Boodle9 · 24/09/2013 22:42

Kuma's right, Sid, I did/do get discomfort on clomid, but it doesn't usually start until cd11 or so. Last for a couple of days and then just completely disappears. I'm not very happy about it though and I'm going to be having firm words about it with my consultant in 3 weeks time.

I'm missing off the list, so I'll add myself on now:

Barking - 34, ttc 21 months, bfp on clomid in aug, mc in sept. Hoping AF or bfp isn't delayed so we can start back on the clomid asap
Bunny - 33, TTC 18 months, FC says IVF is the way to go, next step lap & dye
Foodylicious -34, ttc nov 2011, mc in may, back on the ttc bus this month
Kuma - 38, ttc 9 months, GP appointment to get things moving on 24th. AF/BFP (how optimistic) due 1 Oct
Happylass, 35, currently on a TTC break. 1st appointment at FC on 20/9
Yorkiebilb, 35, ttc 13 months mmc Dec. High fsh suggesting low ovarian reserve. iui next cycle.
Sidney, 38, ttc 15 months. Starting clomid any day now if AF would just show up; onto IVF by Dec if no joy.
RevoltingPeasant, 34, ttc since May 13 but with various "challenges", AF due 16.9
mrsw, 35, ttc since May 13, AF 40 days late but BFNs, waiting for blood test results.
Fox82 -31, ttc since Dec '12. Not even a hint of a bfp!
FeatherFeather11, 34, ttc since sept 12. Pcos, 5 rounds of clomid since Feb 13, not a sniff of bfp
Boodle - 30, ttc for 27 cycles and counting. Clomid sucks. FCs suck. People having babies suck.

Yeah, sorry about that! Grin

Not a teacher or cat owner (although I'm SO desperate for a kitten!) - live in a top floor flat with no outdoor space so feels a little mean. Are all of you teachers? Wow! Will have to keep an eye on my spelling. Blush

Foodylicious · 24/09/2013 22:17

A ha! that makes more sense feather!

Bunnygirlie · 24/09/2013 22:12

Doh! No wonder you confused us lol

So Feather are you like most berries, are you a teacher or do you own a cat?!?

FeatherFeather11 · 24/09/2013 22:02

I've just realised what an idiot I've been! We've been TTC since Sept 2011 NOT Sept 2012! DUH. Sorry to cause any confusion.

Foody and Bunny: was diagnosed with pcos in December 2012. I knew I was going to have a hard time ttc as I'd had my right Fallopian tube removed 6 years ago after it "twisted in on itself" and nearly killed me - they thought it was ectopic but tests showed it wasn't. Anyway, after a fleet of tests in Dec 12, the clinic said I wasn't ovulating, but that my other tube was fine and dp's SA was ok too. They started me on clomid in Feb 13, I did five months of it, at 50mg for two months then 100mg for the last three. Was in a bit of a state by the end of it all, so decided to take a break and go on hols in Aug/Sept, ready to start my last two rounds on 150mg (which I basically had to beg for) - and now here I am waiting for af to show and it won't!

Does it seem like I got clomid pretty quickly, then? I thought after a year of trying 'naturally' that they took you in for tests etc, right?

IamKuma · 24/09/2013 21:50

funky yes, this was my first trip. She didn't want many details, but we established that I am almost 39 so she was happy to get things moving. The blood test envelope does have primary infertility written on it, nice reminder..... She was quite kind and said keep going about your business as usual and hopefully you'll get a BFP before or during the process.

feather Welcome, you are in good company here.

foody good tip, I'll try that one. Maybe I'll get my wedding pants out Wink

Foodylicious · 24/09/2013 21:41

Thanks Merkin. Good to know I'm not the only person on the planet unable to get pregnant! How long have you been trying?

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/09/2013 21:16

Hi Feather, welcome in. Sorry to hear you're also facing TTC woes

FeatherFeather11 · 24/09/2013 21:14

Hello everyone,

Mind if I join this thread? Me: 34, pcos, TTC #1 since September 2012. Bit fed up at the moment! On a clomid break (after doing five months, three of which were bust) and am now cd34/15dpo (if I did ovulate) with no sign of af. Had a bit of pinky/brown discharge last Thursday, thought it was the start of af, and then stopped. I've done more preg tests in the last five days than I have in five months! All BFNs. :(

Barking: know how you're feeling. Everywhere I turn people seem to be pregnant. Sis-in-law, three mates and two colleagues are pregs at the moment - and all got there at the drop of a hat. The only way I've learned to cope is to just trust that one day if will happen for me and dp and all this stress and sadness will be in the past. Not easy, but I gotta clutch at something!

Foodylicious · 24/09/2013 21:08

funkymonk how long have you been taking b6 for? do you ever have the odd cycle that is longer than others? is this one maybe??

I have just Ov'd on day 18/19 so am starting b6 again (have 28-29day cycles).

Just taking 50mg though, I know some people take more but I am worried about how much to keep taking when I get my BFP (I know 50mg is ok for morning sickness)

kuma just make sure he watches you putting on nice pants on the morning and he can think about you in them all day!

going to wait this cycle out and then go to gp to ask for re-referal to fc

*help*Also had smear reminder last week, trying to book for strait after AF was not successful so will have to wait for next month, bit of a nightmare, what you you girls do about timing your smears???????

Bunnygirlie · 24/09/2013 20:34

Ugh barking I hate instadiffers!!! I agree, anybody who gets pg under 12 months is a jammy git!

So sorry it's all so tough, hugs x

kuma glad to hear you are starting your FC journey :-) Just tell DH to do as he's told! Mine had to do it 3 times!!!

funkymonk · 24/09/2013 20:32

Evening eveybody.

Barking I'm so sorry that you're feeling so sad. I don't know what to suggest either. I guess the not knowing for sure bit is making you feel worse?

Kuma was that the first time you have spoken to your gp about ttc?? I saw mine on 7th Sept and they did absolutely nothing other than refer me to the fertility clinic, or Infertility Clinic as it seems to be called round here. They've splashed that all over the appointment letter as well bastards. Kick a woman while she's down why don' they. Fertility Clinic sounds so much more acceptable.

Feeling pretty frustrated here. I've well and trult f*cked up my cycle. Cycle day 18 here and not even a hint of a positive opk. Always ov cycle day 17. I blame the b6. Have stopped taking it now. Grrrrr Angry

Hi pip. Hope you're doing ok.

sid hope your gassiness subsides!!

BlindKitty · 24/09/2013 18:44

barking erm yep classic instadiffer. Yep, I'd be upset too but agree you need to find out then you can confront your feelings.

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 18:37

Can you just text her barking? If you think it would help?

Good work with getting things moving kuma. It's a shame we can't just withdraw sperm from our blokes while they sleep. Would have cut out a lot of the ttc angst in our household at least.

IamKuma · 24/09/2013 18:24

Sorry barking crossed posts. Men and their competitions Sad. Maybe DH will feel better knowing one way or the other too? Perhaps his mate is just worried about saying something in case they upset you after the mc? Doesn't make it any easier though.

IamKuma · 24/09/2013 18:16

Hurdle 1 crossed; had GP appointment today, now armed with DIY chlamydia test and a blood test slip for a zillion different tests to be done CD 1-4. GP sent an immediate FC consultation request though and we will should have all of the test results back by the time we get the appointment. I should perhaps have asked about the wait but didn't think to do that. Now I just need to find a way to convince DH that it will be fun to go off to the hospital to provide a 'sample'..... any suggestions welcome.

barking sorry things are tough Flowers, like bunny says, would it not be easier if you just knew one way or the other? Surely if you DH confided in his mate he can just ask him?

sid thinking of you on the Clomid.... no advice to proffer I'm afraid. Didn't Boodle have discomfort from taking it?
