Don't give up hope nurse you've got a new job and a new home, its not surprising is stressful. and just because you're "ttc" it doesn't mean you have to have sex every day week, month I'm sure the others will tell you they've had the odd month with no action (or maybe its just us Blush ) it doesn't mean you have to go back to contraception. Have a little break from thinking about it all ( you will still wonder as AF draws near if you might have managed it, I don't know how you stop that). And I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mum :)

BlindKitty · 24/09/2013 12:34

Oh dear nurse! Could you afford a holiday? Sounds like you just need a bit of quality time with each other to me! You've had lots of big changes lately so it's not surprising you might feel stressed atm

anactualnurse · 24/09/2013 12:13

Hello everyone, so sorry I haven't been around - my head is currently wrecked what with starting my new job and finally living with mr nurse. It's all quite hard work, but am trying to stay positive and persevering.

How was the meet up? Any goss??

I've come to the conclusion I'm probably not going to get preggers any time soon (we're hardly even getting down to it as we're like ships passing in the night and either too exhausted, or too pissed off with eaxh other).Am tetempted to go back on the pill, as at least then I won't get my hopes up and have to deal with the disappointment.

I feel very sorry for myself pretty rotten just now, and think I'd be a terrible mum at the moment even if we did manage to make a baby. I can't even manage to be a good anything at the moment. Anyway, sorry for whingeing. I'm going to take myself off for a sleep, and try to wake up a better version of myself.

pommedechocolat · 24/09/2013 11:06

Thanks beedles, it's interesting to see how many IUI/IVF people are here now. Brookers have always been a motley crew with 'ishoos' but there werent any IVF-ers first time round. Fingers and toes crossed for you all.

Keepit - no, have always been plain old pomme.

Can't believe we are ttc no 3. Especially after we had an abortion 3-4 months ago. This year is '13' all right! Anyway, dtd last night (cd 5 so just a warm up) so seems to be really happening...

Glad to see some other second time brookers here too though :)

RubberBullets · 24/09/2013 10:50

I'm feeling all left out with all these old brookers going round again but can't ttc while at college :(

Stacks · 24/09/2013 10:07

Hello again. I came back to join you all just as life got in the way. We've had a bunch of colds recently and it's hardly even colds season yet. Still, AF left a couple of days ago and we managed to dtd last night second time in about a year, poor mr stacks. Going to try dtd eod and go back to bbt charting - I found it makes me less crazy to chart, as I know when ov happens and when AF will turn up.

So sorry to hear so many of you are having to do IVF. We were threatened with it just as I got pg with T. I'm wishing you all enormous luck with lashings of brooking thrown in for good measure. Particularly thinking of you just now beedle.

Hi pomme fancy seeing you here :)

Waves for everyone else.

keepitgoing · 24/09/2013 10:05

That's good beedle; pleased you're feeling ok.
I'm fine thank you - kind of strangely still enjoying the cold weather, and opportunity to get wrapped up. But then it's not properly cold yet, is it... I am missing the easily available delicious cheap food from thailand, and the maid (!), more than the weather, that's for sure. We are a little bit ready for Kip though not mentally but hopefully have another 9 weeks or so, but guess you never know. I have another 5.5 weeks of work though, since I'm stopping at 36 weeks.

pomme did you use to be someone else?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/09/2013 09:18

its going fine thanks keep no obvious side effects. They're going to phone me in a couple of weeks to tell me when to start stimming, which reminds me I really ought to go to the pharmacy and get the rest of my drugs!
How are things with you? Are you missing Thailand now its starting to get a bit colder and wetter? And are you anywhere near ready for Kip's arrival? :o

keepitgoing · 24/09/2013 08:35

And fox is here sometimes.

How's downregging going beeds?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/09/2013 07:14

Oh and lovely to see you sparks it looked like you had fun on Sunday. Was it booby you were holding in the photo on FB?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/09/2013 07:12

Well pomme I can't believe you've not been keeping up, anyone would think you children to look after! But just for you I'll attempt a geek -style round-up:

scarlett dieting when not out on the town in preparation for IUI and hopefully, maybe another attempt at IVF
geek planning for IVF in January
cupcakes appealing to get IVf transferred to another clinic
nurse busy being an actual nurse (or buried under a pile of boxes she should have unpacked by now)
beedle downregging for another 2 weeks or so and then stimming for 2nd round of IVF
hinky, musical & stacks thinking about/actually coming back to join us for their next brooking babies

phew, hope I got that right

We are wondering whether it might be a suitably bonkers way to end the most f*cked up year we've had yet...

Can't believe my disguise wasn't foolproof Grin

So where is every cd wise?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/09/2013 11:09

pomme are you thinking of coming back to join us?? (I saw through that disguise immediately :o )

BeedlesPineNeedles · 22/09/2013 07:20

Have fun today everyone :o
Sometimes I wish I still lived in England, but even if I did the meet-up would be too far away, so I'll just wait until you all come here!

scarlett hope you're not feeling too rough

BlindKitty · 21/09/2013 22:50

scarlett please still come though Wink

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 21:22

ScarlettInSpace · 21/09/2013 20:05

hey everyone, just to manage your expectations lol i am out whenthis eve for quiet family dinner which OH & SIL seem to be turning into a night in town on the lash so if i am hanging tomorrow i may not wake up in time Shock

hopefully see you all on the other side though!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 21/09/2013 13:56

Thanks Keep. I'm having a healthy lunch as I'm on a diet ignore all the wine and McDonald's I had last night I'm really excited about tomorrow now!

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 13:42

Oh cups, do come! Will be so lovely to meet you. Don't worry about any melt downs, we've all been there... So pleased you had good hols, and have a bacon sarnie. Sure fire hangover cure.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 21/09/2013 12:15

Beedle yay to starting on the sniffer dogs again Grin this is going to be your time ok? We are all brooking no arguments for you. It's a shame you can't move the EC forward but don't worry about it. Of course they won't be too busy for you, they've probably offered other couples the chance to move it forward and I'm sure some of them will have been able to do it sooner.

Stacks welcome back! I hope it's a really short stay for you this time as I remember it took a while last time x

Well I'm back from holiday, it was amazing. Rome is so beautiful. I'm shattered though and carrying a bit of extra weight from all the gelato Blush I'm also nursing my first hangover of 2013 Shock we went out last night with some of my DHs work friends and didn't get in until 04:00. I have so not missed hangovers!

Well I'm able to come to the meet up tomorrow as my sisters baby is showing no signs of coming soon. I must admit I'm in two minds about coming as I'm still a bit of a mess. I'm worried ill have a melt down or something and you'll all think I'm crazy!

BlindKitty · 20/09/2013 20:32

beedles that's rubbish, can dh not rearrange?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/09/2013 17:17

Beedle it's impossible not to over think isn't it Smile. You just have to go with the right time for you. I'm so excited for you. Is your protocol the same this time round?
