pomme its not just about fertility issues, but it is about conception. Some people here have been trying for years, so it is very difficult to see someone make a decision (I too am pro choice) but then even harder if they then ttc a few months later.

And I wouldnt wish this thread on myself anymore.

pommedechocolat · 25/09/2013 08:17

Yes it did Geek and how dare you describe me in that way.

I would never wish the decision I made on my worst enemy.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 25/09/2013 08:13

Thanks geek how's everything with you?

If brooking is now about fertility issues then I am sorry for bringing my problem to either here or the fb page. I had misunderstood.

ControlGeek · 25/09/2013 08:00

beeeeeeedle well done on starting with the sniffer dogs again, you are now on your winning round and it won't be long before they sniff out your bfp. Deffo.

And just adding my voice to beedle and boo's comments that this really isn't the thread to start bandying abortion around like it's a contraception choice. Because, y'know, we're all just so super fertile that we can afford to do that just for the sake of delaying TTC for 2-3 months. Yes, I'm another one who left the FB group because of 'that' discussion.

I think it was a question from a very caring person sparkle. It is something we've thought through and life will be changing dramatically in December when we move back to the UK.

I think that ttc and having children is a very hard thing with lots of issues and I think that most people experience at least one of those issues when they come to want to start a family. I think that sadness will help us all grow as people and be better parents. The randomness of life, the unfairness of life and our decisions we make slowly or quickly, regret or never doubt help us learn everyday.

As an athetist thats the best comfort I have, hah :)

Thanks sparks hope you didn't think I was being rude

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 25/09/2013 07:17

You're quite right Beedle and I know you're not the only one who avoided FB for exactly the same reason :( I'm pro choice, but there is a time and a place to discuss it, and where there are people having ivf/iui or any fertility issue is probably not it!

Actually, would you mind taking the abortion discussion somewhere else - like the FB group so I don't have to read it. I left the group as I didn't want to read about that kind of stuff whilst dealing with teh failure of my first IVF cycle I'd hate to leave this thread now.

Yes I'm still lurking around!! Grin Sorry to not post too often. And sorry to see things are a bit hard at the moment nurse. I think beedles advice was spot on - don't start on the contraception again but give yourself a break from actively "trying" and see what happens. Moving and job changes are stressful times but I'm sure everything will settle down soon enough

I'm feeling a bit down at the moment too. We got an offer accepted on a house for the 4th time at the beginning of the summer, and for the 3rd time the buyer decided not to sell! We've been so unlucky, especially as we're in a great position due to renting at the moment. So the house hunt begins again... Plus I'm fed up in my job but struggling to find anything else. I've been looking for about 6 months now with no luck. And today is the start of cycle 11 ttc Sad. Oh well, as D:ream once said, things can only get better! Grin

Waves to all the old/new brookers!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/09/2013 20:14

Nowt wrong with a nesquik Maybe Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/09/2013 19:31

Fear not Boo I'm having a glass of nesquik instead Wink

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/09/2013 18:54

Don't know if we can endorse that sort of reckless behaviour Maybe Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/09/2013 17:43

Unfortunately, all I've managed is a yoghurt today Boo. But I am obsessed by other peoples food Blush. Might crack open a tin of tomato soup though later Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/09/2013 17:35

Sounds like someone is getting their appetite back Maybe? You just eat whatever you want now, send Mr M to the shops!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/09/2013 17:09

Sugar is the future Nurse. My god, I could eat a scone now. Please say you had clotted cream and jam on it. Was it fruit? Or plain? These are important questions Wink x

anactualnurse · 24/09/2013 16:47

Thanks ladies. You are all so kind - how did I ever get through these dark days before I found you (prozac, that's how). I feel a bit better after a nap and a scone, a brownie and 3 bags of crisps. Need to have a good chat with mr nurse, but not sure when we'll get time.

Hope you are all well x

hinkyhonk · 24/09/2013 16:41

nurse the first year after mr honk and i got married was the worst even though we'd lived together for two years before that. it gets better as you find your groove.

and the mere fact that you are thinking about the type of mum you would be tells us all that you would be a cracking mum. i still think i'm f-ing it up most of the time but my boys still love me and i love them so you'll be just fine when it happens for you

off to go smack a rat on my private smacking run for you all....

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/09/2013 14:32

Oh Nurse lovely. We have all had moments like that. Sounds like the new job is taking its toll on you. And you have upped sticks and moved. It's all happened at once! It is most definitely a culture shock when you start living together 24/7. But you will fall into a routine. And you learn to ignore them after a while Wink. And you will be an amazing mum. Of this I am sure. Hope the power of sleep has worked its magic xxx
