Morning!
Thanks guys, that does reassure me. Good luck to all the POAS'ers!! :)

keepswimming1 · 31/08/2013 08:36

ooo itchy boobs this morning :) I never thought i'd be happy about it

Hayley - I'd be in the same position as you if I ever get a bfp - never given it much thought til I read your story, I think I would have to try and wait out to tell him face to face. good luck x

morning all :)

jaykay987 · 31/08/2013 08:10

Wow - this is the busiest bus!Grin

FX for those with bfn. I'm certain you're all testing a day too early and as soon as its September the BFPs will come rolling in! Grin

My CB OPK turned fixed today! (After 7 flashing days I thought this day old never arrive!). I am far too excited! Dtd last night (first time with "ingredients" in a couple of weeks - so I feel your pain Owl).

Justhayley - face to face would be amazing! But how far gone will you be in 5 weeks? I looked at my calendar today and as my cycle is so long, I won't be testing until 5weeks after my last AF. So if I then waited 5 weeks to tell DH Id be 10 weeks before he knew! That seems far too long to wait to tell him! Especially if you have any early scares (fingers crossed you won't obviously) I can't imagine the phone call. "Oh yes my GP sent me to EPU for an early scan because of bleeding/pains/a.n.other weird pregnancy related symptom. Oh - by the way Im pregnant!" That would be a lot of information to digest! Maybe you could do something fun though to make it special? Email him a photo of your test? Or can he Skype or face time so you can see his reaction?

Hugs for Owlie and Daisy.

Owlie that sounds like a tough situation to be in. Has it been since day1 ttc? There's so much pressure on us ladies when pregnant but the ttc bit is where our DPs have to, ahem, 'perform' and it must be difficult for them too. It sounds like you're doing your best to keep the pressure off him though, and that can only be a good thing.

Daisy you're right, it is a rollercoaster! On top of all the angst we also have raging hormones to deal with, and a whole host of 'symptoms' that just don't seem fair when they're not down to being pg. Let yourself feel grumpy for a bit and use it as an excuse for a bit of self-indulgence - maybe a nice bath, or treat yourself in some way. You're doing all the right things, it will happen!

Cake all round (even though it's breakfast time)

Bfn again this morning! I'm going away today and in back Monday and I'm not taking any pee sticks or pee pots. I will just have to wait!! Hmm

Daisychain44 · 31/08/2013 07:26

Hi all,
Well, the deep depression has set in here. Funny old roller coaster this - AF arrived on wed and thought I was ok about it ( you know, considering...) but been ridiculously teary the last few days and just feel miserable all the time. My poor DH had me in tears at the dinner table last night.
I think the fact that no-one knows Isn't helping me as people keep talking to me about everyone else's pregnancies and how DS would benefit from a sibling ASAP.. I'm a pretty private person but I think I'm going to break the habit of a lifetime and tell a few people. At least then they might be a bit more sensitive about it...
Sorry for the downer, I 'm sure I'll sort myself out and be cheerier soon!

KillashandraRee · 31/08/2013 06:56

Grabbing a seat in the middle.

Justhayley sounds positive to me Smile

Finally DTD with DH last night, if period app on phone is correct ovulation was yesterday. First time we'd managed it since Monday so am not hopeful.

Did go and have reflexology yesterday there's a woman near me who has the most amazing track record of making women who struggle to conceive have babies. Hoping it might make the difference for next month, not holding out much hope for this month.

ScienceGeekGirl · 31/08/2013 06:46

Hello ladies, I'm a hang-on-to-the-ender on the August bus but think its very unlikely ill get my AF today as I'm at most 3DPO (but don't think I've actually OV). CD37 I think today so who knows when this horrible cycle will end. Have some blood tests later today so hopefully that will give clarity.
Here are my stats:
ScienceGeekGirl ttc#1 cycle 6 BFP?????
If some one can add me to the list that would be great and good luck to those peeing on a stick this morning or tomorrow.

Choccywoccydodah · 31/08/2013 06:43

You've GOT to tell your DHs/dps face to face, no question!!
I know how much you would want to burst, but I couldn't imagine telling my dh over the phone. I wouldn't tell anyone else either (except you lot!). It's such a special moment, and it's their moment too Smile

mama31 · 31/08/2013 01:42

Just to clarify this would be my dh 1st child and he is super excited about it....he also works shifts therefore during my obsessive preg testing it is kinda likely he will be working if/when I get my bfp!!! So to hold that info and surprise him would be amazing (in principle...)

mama31 · 31/08/2013 01:38

Owlie that sounds very difficult for you I'm sure yoy are feeling very frustrated but also concerned about your dh. Very tough situation :(

Justhayley.... My dream is to find out myself and plan a lovely night for dh where I can surprise him with the bfp...however....it would seem that I wouldn't be able to hold that sort of information (given how obsessive this is) whilst I would want to make it a lovely face to face moment...I am 99% sure that won't happen coz of my excitement!!! But if you could how lovely that would be :)

justhayley · 31/08/2013 00:08

Dam totally forgot I just ordered a load of CB OPKs from eBay lol. Wonder what will arrive first those or my official BFP Smile

Got a few "symptoms" but worried because am not feeling sick or tired (not that I want to) nor are my boobs sore.
However like when I was pg with DS I'm burping every 10 mins - literally, I'm getting hiccups immediately after eating or drinking anything, & I'm bloated beyond normal AF due bloating. Also feeling extra warm & super hungry when I wake up.

Really hope this is it. feel like iv been trying for a lifetime. Im not a particularly religious person but this month DP was on leave for 3 weeks, so on August 1st I bought some folic acid & actually prayed I'd get pregnant this month!
DP is currently on a deployment in Canada - home in 5 weeks, if I get my BFP do I tell him over the phone or wait till he's home?

Owlie84 · 30/08/2013 23:35

Oh god, I sound like a woman possessed Hmm

I'm not angry at him nor have we had a row or anything, I'm just frustrated on my own. Smile

Owlie84 · 30/08/2013 23:20

Aaaaaaahhhhh!! ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

Sorry, I had to get that out. Another month, another bout of performance anxiety from DH. Hmm I'm really trying hard to be patient, but it's been four months of frustration! I'm not mentioning anything about cycles or 'good days' to dtd to him, but it makes no difference. This has never been a problem previously, and even though he says he really wants to be ttc, I'm really upset.

We've just about managed to dtd three times this cycle, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't at a good time. Baaahhhh.

Sorry to moan!

Choccywoccydodah · 30/08/2013 23:05

Second that jelly. I did all the way through last time and I don't have a single stretch mark and ds was 8/13 Smile

Good luck Disney GrinGrinGrin

wispaxmas · 30/08/2013 22:53

My amazon cheapness arrived really quickly, not sure what the problem is for yours.. Annoying, are you going to go out and buy other tests or wait for them to arrive?

JellyBeanDavey · 30/08/2013 22:44

Just popping my head in quickly to give you ladies a tip from my pregnant friend...

If you aren't already, moisturise!!! Excessively too! She said she wished she'd of done it way before she was pregnant. So get buttering up girlies and prepare that beautiful skin for lots of stretching Grin

mrsmummytobe · 30/08/2013 22:24

Shame those cheapies haven't arrived yet disney - amazon is never normally this slow is it! I would be tempted to hold out until Sunday but I know that is far easier said than done! Good luck if you do poas tmrw :)

Writerwannabe83 · 30/08/2013 22:14

DisneyDiva87 · 30/08/2013 22:10
