jaykay I too am trying and failing not to look for symptoms. If only there was instant confirmation!

onelife I am now craving sticky toffee pudding! I think I will follow your lead and busy myself with cooking and baking to distract myself. Ooh and Great British Bake Off is on tomorrow, that always makes me want to bake treats :)

onelifeonechance · 02/09/2013 22:04

Indeed mama - it's our anniversary weekend coming up and we are away over what i believe will be my fertile time (i'm itching to crack open the opk sticks to confirm it but don't want to start using them too soon as only CD3 today!) Got this lovely dream that we will conceive our first baby on our first wedding anniversary....

mama31 · 02/09/2013 21:54

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 21:19

The 50mg tablets on the Holland and Barratt website are now reduced to £3.55.

mama31 · 02/09/2013 21:17

Thanks blamber! Defo gona give that a go!

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 21:13

Thanks you, will do that this month and will probably spread the dose over a few days, like you.

blamber · 02/09/2013 21:12

yes, that's what I would do and see how your LP is after that. You can always increase it the cycle after. Holland and Barrett have them Smile

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 21:05

Right,so take b6 after ovulation until AF arrives? Is it possible to buy the 50mg dose in the shops?

blamber · 02/09/2013 21:03

Oh yes and if you want to prevent taking 5 pills to get your 50 mg, go to Holland and Barretts, they sell a higher dose (50s and 100s) quite cheaply as well.

blamber · 02/09/2013 21:02

mama, that's what I would recommend. Especially since you've just come off the pill you;re not entirely sure yet your LP wont sort itself out. To prevent a delay in ov, better start taking it after. It's what I'm doing. I'm not taking 50 a day though, but 100 over three days, because it's my second cycle off the pill with an LP of 8 days. I'm hoping it will be longer anyway this cycle, but I just wanted to help it along a bit.

Wis, apparently inly if your LP is under 10 days it can cause problems in case the egg hasn't implanted yet at 10dpo.

mama31 · 02/09/2013 21:01

I'm sure he is wispa!! Lol I'm not doing smep as my hubby works shifts and there's no way I could dtd on demand when he finishes late at night! I can hardly keep awake past 10.30 haha! Rock n roll I am!! But I'm hoping opks help as ill be sure to dtd a lot over ovulation. Good luck with smep, hope its not too exhausting!

wispaxmas · 02/09/2013 20:57

I didn't know that about b6, but I'm pretty sure my LP is normal... Never tracked ovulation before this month, though, so my LP is short I know what to do next month.

H is excited at the prospect of the SMEP plan, it's hilarious.

mama31 · 02/09/2013 20:49

Oooh really! This is all so technical!! So don't take it until I've ovulated then take 50mg a day after ovulation???

mama31 · 02/09/2013 20:42

Vitamin b6 (get in asda for a quid) for box of them...and apparently can help lenghten luteal phase if take 50mg per day...I usually take 10mg per day but gona start increasing to 50mg tomorrow...must stock up!!!

blamber · 02/09/2013 20:42

choccy, b6 is a vitamin taken by some to lengthen the luteal phase if it's too short

blamber · 02/09/2013 20:41

mama31, b6 can actually delay ovulation! Best to start taking it after ovulation, 50 a day, and then see if it works.

Choccywoccydodah · 02/09/2013 20:38

What's b6?

Cupcake1985 · 02/09/2013 20:36

We are tryin SMEP and dh seems to be managing fine (in our late 20s so i keep telling him most dh would love it) but its tiring already and foreplay has become a quick kiss. We are finding the funny side of this! Opk'ing going well but im wondering if these cheap amazon ones work properly....

gillywillywoo · 02/09/2013 20:32

We always do SMEP... Kinda... Not always exactly right but almost haha Wink
We'll see what happens Smile

mama31 · 02/09/2013 20:30

Just ordered amazon opks!! Just to get me motivated for the month ahead!!! :)

panicmechanic · 02/09/2013 20:28

Sorry to hear that Gilly and hope that it doesn't mess up your cycle too much. How about trying the SMEP? It is supposed to be v effective (but exhausting) :)

ExactlyWhat · 02/09/2013 20:25

Hi all,
Wow you guys talk, think I'm just about caught up!
Keeping everything crossed for some more BFP's, hope it's going to happen very soon for all you beginning of September POASers. Not due till 24th, my cycles are around 35 days, yawn!
Rekcon DP and I will start dtd every other day now, am thinking I might ov end of next week...

Had a big night out with friends on Sat , both drank a LOT thinking it would be the last one for a while, fingers crossed anyway! Only just feeling back to normal now....and back at work after school holidays tomorrow - good luck to all fellow teachers for the new school year!
