We just got married in July and I always thought we would have a honeymoon baby. Well I got a BFN on my first cycle so didn't happen! So onto cycle 2...

Would be great to have someone on here to chat to.

Hello! Bit of a cheat because, whilst I am newly wed (Aug 17th!) I am actually well into TTC. Still on the wedding come down though so can I join??

MrsB2013 · 05/09/2013 22:44

Hi MrsMac Congratulations and good luck for your Wedding!!

Are you going anywhere nice for your honeymoon? Maybe you'll have a honeymoon baby!

Well i'm on cycle 2 now, had my first proper af since coming off the pill, really hoping I get a bfp this month.

Anyone due a bfp this weekend at all??

deuscat · 05/09/2013 21:17

We got married in June. I came off the pill very recently to start TTC for #1. Today would be the day I started my next pill packet!

Hoping I can get normal cycles quickly. Smile

How is everyone else getting on?

B1985 · 02/09/2013 19:18

Thanks wispa I know not worth thinking about just having a low day..needed a cry and was last straw when heard the news!

Ah mac fingers x for honeymoon bubba for u! Enjoy your wedding!! And honeymoon!!

B x

wispaxmas · 02/09/2013 17:53

Sorry B, that's frustrating. I do feel like it's so unfair sometimes when people who quite obviously are taking advantage of the system seems to have everything fall into their laps and responsible people seems to struggle for anything. Ahh well, not worth thinking about.

And welcome Mac! Exciting about the wedding, I can't believe you're posting on here and not going mad with wedding prep Shock The week before my wedding was a blur of family from out of town and preparation.

Better luck next month, though, maybe you'll get lucky and have a honeymoon baby Grin

MrsMac1397 · 02/09/2013 14:25

Hi,

This is my first post. I'm about to become a newly-wed (as in I get married on saturday) and have had my first BFN. I always thought it would be unlikely to get lucky the first month of trying but always secretly hoped! Luckily the excitement of the wedding has stopped me from being too disappointed about it.

Trying really hard not be become obsessed with it but it's really difficult. I was always taking the least wee thing to be a sign for and against being pregnant last month. So hoping the wedding and honeymoon will stop me from thinking about it too much this month.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

B1985 · 02/09/2013 13:55

Having a low day :(

Found out this women who I hate lol, but shes pregnant and shes 3 months...she smoked throughout her last pregnancy and is eating off the government.... and is healthy fine to work just lazy her kid goes to school no so she could work in day now - kids 5!!!! URGHHH i know its wrong but makes me angry! how I lost and someone who is undeserving I THINK because how can you smoke when pregnant...shes has about 5 misscarriages to so makes no sense why you wouldnt be careful!

I need to focus on me and hubby and having a baby of our own but this news had just got me so upset and angry at same time!

wispaxmas · 01/09/2013 20:35

If I do get pg ill defo be eating as healthy as poss, I don't want to gain more weight than is necessary! Won't be doing any diets, but will be keeping a close eye on things to not overdo it.

B1985 · 01/09/2013 18:04

Wispa they say try be close to your BMI as can. But I know plenty of oversight to obese people all have gotten pregnant & carried full term healthy pregnancies and babies! Don't stress over it!!

If you slap bang in middle I wouldn't worry. Anything toward you being more healthy vessel to carry baby would be good - doesn't mean you won't be able to get preg either! I truley believe stress is key so chilled and relaxed happy women is best way to be! Lols

wispaxmas · 01/09/2013 11:52

Keep swimming, that's amazing!! I know I should get back on the healthy eating/diet bandwagon, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm not overly unhealthy, but I do love sweets. And take aways. And it's only been a couple months since the wedding and I don't want to go back to calorie counting like I did for the 6 months pre wedding.

Just wondering, though, just how bad is it to be overweight when ttc? I'm smack in the middle of the 'overweight' category on the BMI chart, and would have to lose about 20lbs to be healthy, but even pre wedding all the dieting and exercise didn't help and I plateaued at this weight. Breaking through the plateau didn't happen before the wedding and Im not sure t will happen now, but if losing the weight will make a huge difference for ttc I might give it a shot....

wispaxmas · 01/09/2013 11:48

Brains, that's annoying, isn't it? But early is better than late if AF is going to visit. At least it means you can get a head start on e next cycle! I thought AF was coming early last week, but I got kept waiting for a couple days of annoying spotting and nothing else before she actually hit. She really know how to annoy us when we're ttc.

B1985 · 01/09/2013 10:16

Urghhh so annoying! Sorry brains

Desperately waiting till the 12th so I can test! Hoping no AF! That's the attitude ..next month!!!

Great news swimming that helps mood to and your all happy vibes so I'm sure it makes all the difference!

keepswimming1 · 01/09/2013 09:59

So first week of my diet and I lost 3lbs well chuffed. certainly helps to distract me.

Sorry to hear that af has arrived offtogetsomebrains always a disappointment

offtogetmesomebrains · 31/08/2013 18:51

Arghhh?AF came this am. Grrr. 2 days early as well.

Och well?next month it is!!!

Newlywed2013 · 29/08/2013 22:33

Writerwannabe83 its nice to know I am not the only one who has had issues! I know its been a bank holiday but i just want my referal to come through from the hospital so i know what the hell is going on!! :(
good luck for all you other newlyweds x

wispaxmas · 29/08/2013 22:07

Skd, I wish I could say the same thing re moving house, I'm so sick of the flat we have. I can't wait to have an enclosed back garden for the dog! And not worry about the prospect of having to carry things up and down stairs to get in or out of the flat (could you imagine a pram in a first floor flat?)

Looking at right move just let's me dream for now. We won't actually get serious about it until we fall pregnant, and even then were up in the air because my husbands work might take us to France for 6 months or so!

B1985 · 29/08/2013 18:35

Same here been on it 3 months and abit now! Hoping it makes the difference!

Wow you got loads to district self with' congrats on new home!

Lol tell me about it I'm taking night of insanity workout and its all the sofas fault!

skd83 · 29/08/2013 12:51

B1985 I am just about to finish my 3rd month of folic acid, so all prepared on that front. Sounds like good advice about distractions. We are in the process of buying our first house so packing, moving, and unpacking will keep me busy for the next month or so. I want to enter more races because I like running but I get tempted by the sofa if I don't have races to look forward to. However, I don't want to enter a half marathon for next year in case I am pregnant. I should probably just enter and see, rather than revolve my life around the 'if'!

B1985 · 29/08/2013 09:34

morning skd83 itss so easyto get obsessed, but try simple tricks to distract self... lol reading, exercise... new hobbies - crafts? lol sounds silly but sooooooooo works!!

Being nervous is the worst so hard not to be but it really does mess with body i think my period was so late last cycle purley because i was a nervous and anxious wreck!

Have you started taking your folic acid? Thats good to start early.

skd83 · 29/08/2013 08:44

I've taken my last pill last night. So I'm hoping to get normal cycles again soon and get TTC without getting too obsessed. It's partly exciting but I'm also nervous in case there's any problems.

B1985 · 29/08/2013 08:30

Lol same hubby was exhausted after lectures for his accounting class so no baby dance!

I think if your body is use to exercise u can still do light exercise during pregnancy but that's why trying now so whilst I can still do some stuff...won't be able to do insanity during - its quite mental! Lol but feeling good sweating buckets!

Distractions are the way to go and fingers x for us all for BFP September!

CD19...I'm due 12/13 Sept! I think though I'll do a test if no AF on 12th but if negative will literally wait 2 weeks as last AF was 17 days late and even though used poundland tests its mentally and emotionally draining seeing negative and still not getting a AF!!

Have a good day everyone x

MrsDinoRawr · 29/08/2013 07:22

I have heard of insanity. I dis the 30 day shred and want to start doing it again. Can you do exercise dvds when you are pregnant?

Rightmove sounds like a great distraction. I spent hours on there when we were looking for our house.

Newlywed so sorry to hear about your losses. My mum died when I was 13. Taught me to try to make the most of what you have. I also really believe in fate. So I am trying not to stress about ttc as it's out my hands.

What cycle day is everyone on and what date will people be testing?

Me:
Cd:15
I am due on 14th Sept.

Need to baby dance but got home after midnight last night and didn't think husband would appreciate been woken up and he left as 6.45am!

Hah, last year I was trying to distract myself from wedding planning, and this year it's trying to distract myself from ttc. Last year we got a puppy, and this year my distraction is right move!

keepswimming1 · 28/08/2013 19:28

Same, I joined a calorie counting website yesterday, just to help me shift these extra lbs and already I'm not thinking about pregnancy as much - how long it will last though I just don't know. :)

B1985 · 28/08/2013 19:09

Keepswimming1 - defo kind of helps take mind off ...the random new hobbies and things I'm picking up now to just get mind off not being pregnant! Lol!!
