Could this be caused by coming off the pill? Or ovulation?? It's driving me mad!

Oh no, part of me wants to keep putting it off because I don't want to be disappointed!

Oh x posts with mortified!

Well it's def possible for u to have ovulated sooner that you might think, people talk about a 'fertility surge' when coming off the pill n agree with writer about the OPKs.

Soooo agree u should POAS on Monday. but if it was me I would be doing it tomorrow

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:25

It would have been a breakthrough bleed as usual, surely, as it was part of the seven-day break of my last packet of pills.

Writer - I took a pg test on cd12 and it was negative :(

Your breakthrough bleed could have been an inplantation bleed?

Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 19:21

I got faint lines on my OPK sticks the same day I got my BFP Smile

The OPK sticks can't differentiate between the ovulation hormone and the pregnancy hormone so you get a line if either of them are present.

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:19

Oh, and I was on Ovranette.

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:19

Hiya. My last breakthrough bleed started 15 days ago and lasted three days so it's been 12 days since it ended. However, I has faint lines on my opk on cd10 and 11, whatever that meant.

Hi V if you have recently stopped the pill, your hornones will be haywire - you could well have ovulated much sooner.

Id POAS on Monday.

Didyeaye · 16/08/2013 19:15

Hi V

Do u definitely have a week to wait? How long ago did u stop the pill? If its very recently, you may have ovulated right away (depending what kind of pill u were taking obviously) and could already be past the 2 week wait? And so you could test now?

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:11

Can't believe I've a week or even longer to wait!!

I managed to fall pg very very early in my cycle with dd2, definitely possible.

I came off the pill for a break a couple of months ago and it took 6 weeks for my period to return so that may also confuse matters!

Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 19:04

lol - I work with a team of Health Visitors!!
Imagine how bad that is then Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:03

As a teacher, I work mainly with women and every time someone feels sick or tired everyone mentions pregnancy and it's so annoying!

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 19:01

You've done the right thing!!

My colleagues were 'symptom spotting' on my behalf and they drove me crazy!!!

Every time I had a wee, "I bet you're pregnant!"
Every time I yawned, "I bet you're pregnant!"
If I dared mention I had a headache, "I bet you're pregnant!"

Drove me insane!!!!

My advice is keep yourself to yourself Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:59

You might think I'm strange saying this but I haven't told anyone (apart from you guys) about my 'symptoms'. I think it's because I would then feel pressure to actually be pregnant and I guess I don't want to get my hopes up or anyone else's hopes up.

According to Baby Med only 20-30% of women have implantation spotting Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 18:55

Yep, it was a nightmare three weeks Grin My husband found it hilarious though....except when it was the night time runs of course and I would keep waking him up Smile

Not everyone has implantation bleeding, I certainly didn't anyway. I'd be interested in finding out what percentage of women do actually. I might google it Smile If it does occur though it can happen anywhere between 6-12 days after conception.

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:36

Three weeks?! :( Am gonna poas next weekend and take it from there. Also, do you know when implantation bleeding occurs? Is it at conception or after that? Thanks.

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 18:31

It started about a week prior to my BFP and then carried on strongly for about 3 weeks.

Thankfully, over the last few weeks it has started to ease off Smile

The hormone that is released as soon as conception takes place has a relaxing effect on the bladder, hence why urination can suddenly start occurring really frequently in the very early days.

My hormone levels are probably starting to plateau a little bit now so my toilet visits are much less frequent Smile

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:06

It does feel very early! How many days did your toilet dashing last, writer?

I remember when I was currently running to the toilet around the middle of my cycle, oh what joy that was Grin

My colleagues joked I was pregnant and I laughed it off saying that even if I was, it was far too early to be having signs as it had only been about 10 days since my period had finished.

I got my BFP a week later and I'm now 8 weeks.
Never say never Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 17:37

Not 100% sure when af is due as I'm just off the pill but it's at least a week away :(

I usually get cystitis a lot but this is different as there's no pain or discomfort. It could be an infection but don't want to use over the counter medicine in case I actually am pg. Guess I need a doctor's appointment!

OP posts:
ThedementedPenguin · 16/08/2013 17:32

They are all pregnancy signs. Grin

When are you dye AF?

RaRaZ · 16/08/2013 17:31

Could be a UTI - sometimes frequent urination is the only symptom. I've also had this with a uterine infection, though that's probably unlikely unless you've also have recent ops/etc.
