Right looks like I am really behind!!

Vicky, sounds really good that mini V is making your stomach move, and I really think its good that you haven't heard anything as well. Also im jealous of your Friday off!!!

As to having a "feeling" about being pregnant, I certainly felt like I would be infertile and I was right, but I can imagine every woman feels like that until they get their BFP.

I am on CD 10 today Onelife, so I think I will start SMEP tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a bit more enthusiasm than last month!!

Also really pleased to hear about your appointment. My consultant is lovely and explains everything and it just takes all the worry away from you! hopefully what he has said has put some confidence in your DH, I think sometimes men need the boost more than us. And your right its always us that get poked and prodded. Good job we are so tough!! they have never mentioned a Hycosy to me, Im not sure why though. Maybe ill mention it next time Im sure it wouldn't do any harm to have that box ticked off as ok, My next appointment is now officially less than a month away (As of yesterday!!) I have no idea what will be discussed at this one. And when is your birthday? Mine is also coming up soon, I don't want to be another year older and still not Pg, its depressing haha

Have you made a docs appointment Broody? Your body is really being mean on you this month. And remember little white lies are ok (e.g Yes my cycles are like clockwork and this is VERY unusual.)

Vickyvix · 19/03/2014 16:07

Hey one thanks for updating us. It sounds like you're appointment went really well, glad the man was nice, makes such a difference.

I'm not very clued up on follicles but good that they will be able to tell more from the dye thing. Also very good news that he is not worried about your DHs results - hope your DH is feeling good about that.

It must be very reassuring that he thinks you will conceive naturally before the need for any intervention but handy to know that if you don't have any joy (which I am sure you will) then you could receive treatment at the end of this year, so all in all very positive.

I am absolutely no expert at any of this but I really think there might be something in the approach that gives DH a rest for a few days right before ov and then DTD day before, day of and day after ov. I have read that this gives the swimmers a chance to replenish....think you did try this before but might be worth another go this month in tandem with your monitor thingy to pin point exact ov time.

When's your birthday? I would so love some bubbles right now :)

I also love a good wedding but don't have one until October.

onelifeonechance · 19/03/2014 15:17

Thanks all, I'm back! And i survived!

The consultant was lovely, spoke ridiculously quickly so it was hard to keep up He read through our medical info form. Said he wasn't worried by dh's SA results as both his count and motility are fine, doesn't even want to repeat it. Wants to check my tubes so I've got to have a hycosy (where they squirt dye up your doodaa to check the patency of your tubes) the appointment will be sent out in the next six weeks. If all ok then he recommends IUI, which can start after we've been trying for two years (which with what I told the dr would mean Dec) But he remains confident we still stand a good chance of conceiving naturally. Then I had to have swabs, a TV ultrasound scan (even with af, eek) and blood tests for rubella&day 2 bloods. The scan shows uterus all ok but was bit worried what the nurse said about the number of follicles, she didn't seem overly happy and when I asked about the number she just said it 'wasn't bad' but that they'd look further at the hycosy Hmm Other than that though seemed to go ok and feel reassured about his reactions to dh results, he didn't seem bothered at all.

The best bit was when he said he didn't want to repeat dh's SA as he 'didn't want to put him though it' then proceeded to tell me in detail about the TV scan and hycosy. Fine to stick everything under the sun up me then!!!! Lol. He was a nice chap though and if we do need him later on I liked him and would trust his opinion.

Just for info I asked about his thoughts on alcohol, he did not say an outright ban was required and agreed moderation was the key (told you he was nice!) and he said no need for pillows under bums or timing sex, just eod around ov or when you fancy.

So I suppose it's back to waiting for the next appt. but I am determined to enjoy this month, birthday bubbles and good friends wedding Smile

Wood, have you had a hycosy?? Any thoughts on the matter?

Hope everyone else is ok. Broody, what's occurring? V, fx for Friday, sounds a good plan.

Vickyvix · 19/03/2014 09:53

Ah hope I'm not too late for that group hug?

Best of luck for today one hope your appointment goes well. So sorry AF got you :( let us know how it goes.

How are you getting on broody?

Still no blood results here, have agreed with DH that if nothing by Friday I will call then, we both have day off work so he will be with me when I call just in case it's bad news.....and that gives enough time for us to get the results before our consultant appointment on Tuesday

woodwaj · 18/03/2014 21:36

Hi all. I will catch up properly tomorrow but I hope it goes well tomorrow. Just a heads up on our first appointment they asked loads of background questions like cycle info any previous kids from either partner all basics but I found I need to write my cycles down to remember!!

broodysnoopstie · 18/03/2014 18:27

Good luck for tomorrow One. Bloody AF. She's a cow. Will be thinking of you at your appointment xThanks

onelifeonechance · 18/03/2014 16:27

Oh well, not off well, sausage fingers

onelifeonechance · 18/03/2014 16:26

Aw Broody, you're lovely too, we're all lovely, Smile Fx for no bfn tmrw, if not think blood test is the way to go, good luck!

Af just got me Sad Was so hoping she'd stay away until our after fertility clinic appt tmrw but no such luck, wasn't even hopeful she'd stay away for 9 months, just wanted an extra day! Off well, on to cycle 11. Wish me luck for tmrw girls

broodysnoopstie · 18/03/2014 09:08

Hello you lovely lot. This is by far my favourite thread on mn. It feels small and supportive and has really helped me through these crazy days. Nothing to report. CD42 no af 9 days late. Going to take your advice and get blood test done if get a bfn tomorrow. Will probs not get an appt until next week though knowing my docs!

Hope you are all good xx

onelifeonechance · 17/03/2014 20:56

Broody, could you ask gp for a blood test to check hcg levels if you're still getting bfn's?? This is pretty mammoth now for you, hope you're doing ok.

Glad you're eating well V Smile and must be so lovely seeing her wriggling.

Know what you mean nursey about 'feeling' pregnant, from all my MN research it seems some people just 'know' and some people don't feel any different - which is absolutely no help to us in the tww is it?! But good luck anyhoo!

Welcome Americangirl and good luck!

Wood, where you up to cycle wise? Hope all is good in the wood hood Grin

Vickyvix · 17/03/2014 17:14

broody if you came off BC as long as 7 months ago then I don't think it could still be things settling down. I agree, if you get to mid week and still no AF and no BFP then make a docs appointment and see what they say.

wood still nothing re bloods, I think I'm going to have to call if they don't get in touch. Don't really want to as I've fully buried my head in the sand and am clinging to fact it must be good news cos they haven't called. Would hate to call and find out results aren't good. But, next consultant appointment is a week tomorrow so definitely need the results for that. Think I'll give it until weds/ thurs and if still nothing I'll call.

Mini V must be growing because I can now see my stomach move when she kicks which is freaky but lovely!

NurseyJay · 17/03/2014 13:20

Over half way through my 2ww n gettin signs AF may be around the corners :( Slight cramps n mood swings... hopin its a sign I'm pregnant, but dnt feel very confident for some reason. It might sound daft, but I always thought I'd 'feel pregnant'... But as I've never been pregnant I don't really know what to expect/think/feel...

AmericanGirl Definately worth getting your short periods checked out by your doctor.

woodwaj · 16/03/2014 21:25

Broody, I know its not uncommon to have random cycles every now and then but I might consider going if nothing has happened by midweek. I think longer cycles are common but unsure of not having one at all.

Sounds like all is going well Vicky, Hopefully she will appreciate you pigging out and will grow for you!!

Are you going to ring yourself next week if you haven't heard anything? I think its a bit bad that your not even getting a courtesy call, they should know you will be worried.

Hi AmericanGirl, Welcome, a 2 day period does sound unusual. It might be worth a trip the docs, or have a look online I think there are things you can do to try and lengthen your cycle.

broodysnoopstie · 16/03/2014 09:18

Morning welcome American Girl.

I came off the pill July last year.. Don't think it's affecting things still. I think I'm going to give it until mid week and if no AF I'll call the doc. CD 40 no af bfn

xx

Vickyvix · 16/03/2014 08:22

OMG one that 'a great news about your appointment!! So pleased it's so soon :) as wood says it's great you get your foot in the door and start the ball rolling, I have my fingers crossed that the appointment goes well for you both.

Your lamb hotpot and bread and butter pudding sounds divine. Hope you had a lovely first anniversary date meal.

I have been good and eaten lots of meat over the last few days, so hopefully mini V is enjoying it. Made a cake yesterday too and can't wait to tuck into that later :)

Ha ha broody me and DH celebrate a similar anniversary.

Sorry you're still in limbo, cycles can vary but I just don't know what to suggest. Think wood is right and a trip to the doc might be worth it.

I average a 36 day cycle but month we got BFP was about a 40 day cycle, but I had literally just come off the pill so think that messed it up. How long have you been off BC? Could still be things settling down? Really hope this is your month.

Hi Americangirl welcome to the thread. Sorry you got AF. Have you seem doc about short AF? Might be worth it, I don't really know if that could be a reason. Mine were certainly lighter after stopping the pill.

Americangirl102910 · 16/03/2014 00:19

Hi! New to this but been TTC "for real" now and really thought this was the month but I just got my AF and really bummed out. Had blood tests done that all checked out and this month was my "long cycle" 29 days as opposed to 25/26. Sigh. My biggest worry is that my AF is only 2 days with 1 mod heavy day and so I'm wondering if that is contributing..,before I went on pill AF used to be 8-9 days most if them heavy. Was on pill for 11 years but been off it since Dec 2012. :( anyone else have similar situation going on?

broodysnoopstie · 15/03/2014 08:59

One yaaaaaay! I'm so happy for you fingers crossed for you at your appt and belated Happy Anniversary. My dp has never remembered our anniversary. I do it from the day we first slept together!!

wood Congrats on new job. Maybe it will turn out to be even better than other one I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason.

Hang in there vicky the wait must be excruciating for next scan but I reckon everything will be just fine. I have no experience in pregnancy related tests but every blood test I've ever done they have only called when it its been bad news when everything has been fine I haven't heard.

so. cd 39!!!!! no af. tested yesterday fmu with ic. bfn

going to test tomorrow with superdrug. looking back I did once have a 37 day cycle when coming off the pill but I also had a 30 day. I average 33days 32 33 34 being most common. I have never reached 39 and I really think tomorrow will be cd 40 just the same as ever...

Now what do you think? Am I just missing a period? Surely if it was a bfp it would show on a 10miu ic?? people get lines on 7dpo for God's sake! Even if I ovulated later than I thought I'd still be 21dpo by now! or if I Ov'd when I thought I'm 24dpo!!

It's all so confusing. If I go to docs will they just say I've missed a period and to move on to next cycle?

Gahhhh! well I'm on my way to work.. so better try and concentrate. Happy weekend ladies Smile xx

woodwaj · 14/03/2014 18:50

Onelife that is amazing im so pleased for you. I don't even think it matters what they say as long as you get your foot through the door!!

Broody I think if this is unusual for you, you might want to pop to the docs and get their opinion? I take it there is no af?

Vicky have you had your results back?

onelifeonechance · 14/03/2014 14:45

Guess what?! I've got my appointment! I looooooooove the secretary!!! Smile And even better news - it's on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

Thought we'd be waiting ages so when she said the date i nearly dropped the phone!! EEEEEEeeee am so excited!

I have no idea what they're even going to do at the appointment but i don't care, just feel at the moment that we're one tiny step closer. Know i'm probably going to come back all stressy and worried from it about what the future might hold but for now ladies i'm going to enjoy this feeling Smile

Hope you're all ok - Broody - thinking of you x

Friday is here once more, woohoo!!!!!

onelifeonechance · 13/03/2014 18:16

Yes, same as V Wood, big congrats on new job, hope it turns into something very good and hope it involves a little pay rise? Smile

V - I caved and rang today!!! But she didn't answer!!!!! Grrr... I left a message asking her to ring me today but nothing, so she's going to get it tmrw!!!!!! You do realise I'm going to politely and meekly just ask her when it is don't you?! All this aggression is just in my head, I'll be as nice as pie when I speak to her < and turn into a crazy lady when I've hung up if I don't get my answer!!>

Broody, has this ever happened to you before? If not then it sounds like it may be promising even though it's totally frustrating, good luck!!

It's mine and dh's first date anniversary today Smile Lamb hotpot and bread and butter pud for us Grin Sounds like that would be good for you too Vicks for little V, would invite you over if it wasn't our anniversary!!!! Grin

Vickyvix · 13/03/2014 17:57

Well in that case congratulations on the new job wood! Hope it's a good move for you.

Yikes broody sorry you're still in limbo, the wait must be irritating and I feel for you. I think super drug tests are quite sensitive. Hang in there. The nausea, CM, lack of AF are all good signs and I still have everything crossed for you.

one tomorrow's the day to give the receptionist some grief - let is know how it goes!

Still no phone call re bloods here.... Hanging onto fact that is good news. But still another 12 days to wait until next growth scan, have been upping my protein intake, apparently that makes babies grow, and still going on the Aero mint bubbles, although they are probably just empty calories! Have been having lots of peanut butter on brown toast ( apparently good protein snack) and generally eating meat......I don't even mind if I end up like a big fat heffer over the next couple of months as long as this little tiddler grows!!!!

Soooo pleased it's Friday tomorrow :)

broodysnoopstie · 13/03/2014 08:25

Well here I am CD 37 dpo anything from 17-20 absolutely no sign of AF just lots of creamy cm still.. and nausea nausea nausea.. tested yesterday morning fmu internet cheapy BFN. I'll test again sat or sun. Not sure I can bear another white window. Still got 2 superdrug tests left so will use one of those. x

woodwaj · 12/03/2014 21:26

Haha onelife I love the "tell me who they are" your like a big sister!!

How are you doing broody?

Your nursery sounds really lovely vicky I think id like to move away from traditional pink or blue. You will get loads of pink presents anyway! I saw a really lovely mobile on pintrest it was hand made rainbows and clouds etc!

I did accept the other offer and started immediately so Only time will tell if it was the right choice

Vickyvix · 12/03/2014 16:28

Ah sorry about the job wood but is what they have offered worth consideration? i.e. Better than what you're doing now?

broody sorry you're in limbo! I reckon if AF hasn't arrived by tomorrow then test with a FRER on Friday AM and see what happens. Still have fingers crossed for you.

one that sucks about the letter. Give that receptionist some grief....and don't give in until you get a date!

Yep, agree, not news is feeling like good news - still no phone call. The days just go so flipping slowly when you're waiting on something don't they. I hate waiting, am so impatient.

Nursery is a very gender neutral grey, white and yellow. Not a single pink in sight :)

broodysnoopstie · 11/03/2014 22:29

me too wood what one said. Sorry you didn't get it. They are fools!
