Hi wood didn't your 2ww begin on 21st October?? In which case AF would have been due 3rd/4th so you would be 1/2 days late today. That tallies with a 28 day cycle from 7th oct too, today would be cycle day 30 for you.

I can't remember but do you definitely know when you ov'd?

This is exciting! Grin

Good luck for Sunday jenny

woodwaj · 05/11/2013 08:48

I dont have normal cycles! I have meds to make me have AF and to ovulate as well. Glad you thik im late. Im now convincing myself to wait till friday to test. I have a day off and if its a BFN I dont want to be disappointed in work!

Jennyallan86 · 05/11/2013 08:04

Hi all, sorry I've not been on for a while, mega busy!
Woodwaj, is your cycle usually 28 days? If so you would be 1 day late! So fingers crossed af stays away. My cycle has been 30 so I've got till Sunday to test, n im so anxious to poas now!! Help!!
Onelife I've enjoyed the app too, makes me feel reassured, how long do you have to wait now?
Broody- I got the cheap ones n they said to do the second wee of the day! I think as long as it's not too diluted it's ok.
V- so excited for you, my friend had an early scan an it was so cute, size of a little bean. I don't think I could wait till 12 weeks. How you feeling?

woodwaj · 05/11/2013 07:35

Still no Af from me. I just want your advice. If last Af started 7th October, when would you expect it this month?? Do I have my dates wrong!

woodwaj · 04/11/2013 20:19

Haha crotch watch, I love it.

I defo think the scan is worth it when you find out so early. 12 weeks is so long!! Would you go for one of those 3D ones? Im not too sure if I think they are a bit freaky!

I know I would get early scans as soon as I got my BFP as the PCOS has a higher rate of miscarriage so its good and bad at the same time.

phew! cheesecake panic over!! I can imagine my cousin was being over cautious!

Vickyvix · 04/11/2013 20:01

Good for you waiting to test woodwaj good luck with the 'crotch watch' Grin

and Good luck for your 2ww one when is your BFP due?

Re the scan, I don't mind you asking at all one I went down to Harley Street (luckily only 10 mins from my office) there are quite a few places on Harley Street including the London Ultrasound Centre (£150) and the Fetal Medicine Centre (£100) that do early pregnancy/ dating/ viability scans. I used the first one and they were great, I would have no hesitation recommending them, so friendly and helpful.

From memory I think you're based up in Warks? Unless I have that totally wrong (sorry if I have!) so I would try looking for local private hospitals with maternity services and you'll probably find some do scans - or you could make a day out of it and pop down to London town (they are open on Saturdays) :)

I just checked our local Nuffield hospital and they do them - actually our local NHS hospital has an early pregnancy unit and they do them too but it's a first come first served thing so lots of waiting. I reckon there are a few places near you.

If you can wait to approx. 7 weeks (or more) you will get to see more, but most places do them from 5 weeks.

So, I have extensively googled cheesecake, soft cheese, cream cheese etc in pregnancy and the NHS suggest cream cheese is ok (PHEW!)

woodwaj · 04/11/2013 19:17

Thanks onelife i've not had much else on the brain today other than visiting the loo a lot!!

We have decided if AF does arrive then we are going for the SMEP starting as soon as AF finishes.

Going for a loo check soon i'm addicted haha

onelifeonechance · 04/11/2013 18:21

Too not to, sorry V, know you're one for the grammer!!

onelifeonechance · 04/11/2013 18:20

Woodwaj, got everything crossed for you, best of luck, i'm giving af the cold shoulder treatment for you, hope she gets the hint and stays away. Well done on the not testing, know its hard but def the way to go.

Nobody mentioned we're not allowed cheesecake for 9 months?!? I'm seriously reconsidering...lol Grin

V, if its not to nosey a question, and please feel free to not answer won't be offended, how much was your private scan and how did you arrange it? Thinking I'd like to do the same if I ever get there as know I won't be able to wait til 12wks without some kind of reassurance. Hope you're feeling ok, any new symptoms?

Are we all in the 2ww now? I've used fertility friend for the first time to chart, I like it, v informative!! And so far i've scored 100% on the tests, Yeay me Grin

woodwaj · 04/11/2013 15:18

Im not exactly sure. I know my cousin didn't eat it but I think they were being a bit over cautious. I think your ok with baked.. you would be ok with mine its not got cream cheese in it (think thats the bad part)

Im defo not going to test. I think I would be more accepting of AF Than seeing a negative if that makes sense..

Vickyvix · 04/11/2013 14:49

Oh woodwaj that is good news!! Really hoping the witch stays away for you! Do you think you can hold out until Weds??

broody yes the CB ones are FMU but the others are for the afternoon. If in doubt I'd start trying earlier - will cost more in the long run but you'll be sure not to miss anything!

Can I really not have cheesecake?! Baked cheesecake must be ok - I will be so upset if I can't eat cheesecake for 9 months!

woodwaj · 04/11/2013 11:58

Im going to test on Wednesday if no af! Letsnsee how patient I am haha.

yes only CB are first morning. Make sure you dont drink too much before the afternoon cheapies it might dilute the results

broodysnoopstie · 04/11/2013 10:19

eeek when can you test?! Keep us updated! Smile

I am confused with my opks my cheapy amazon ones say not to use first wee of the day but CB says I should! Also this is CD 12 for me on an average cycle of 32 days... CB says to test from CD 11 but cheapy say from CD 15!! Confused any advice?!

hope you all had lovely weekends Smile

woodwaj · 04/11/2013 09:37

AF has still not arrived and I'm going mental. I want to keep going to the loo but I'll look like a weirdo in work! My body is teasing me with cramps!!

woodwaj · 03/11/2013 15:13

I have a feeling that cheesecake is off the menu for you vicky

Vickyvix · 02/11/2013 22:48

Mmmm did somebody say cheesecake??! :)

broodysnoopstie · 02/11/2013 12:48

Ah good advice thanks wood enjoy the baking!! Yum

woodwaj · 02/11/2013 09:41

Ahh that's fab Vicky and you thought they wouldn't stick!!

onelife I love the KMix. They are better because you can get all the other kitchen accessories in the colours.

Broody Remember that with clearblue your first day is always blank so don't do one of those too late or you might miss your peak!!

No AF for me yet! But im defo not hoping for a quick weekend!! got lots of baking/diy to do!! going for a keylime cheesecake & 2 tier cake, maybe even meringues. Party at mine

Vickyvix · 02/11/2013 09:21

Hi one it was a private early pregnancy/dating/ viability (such a horrid word) scan. I just needed to know there was something in there. So now it's the countdown to the proper 12 week scan in early December - gosh that feels an age away!

Happy weekend to all - hope you've all got fun things planned

onelifeonechance · 02/11/2013 07:31

Aw V how lovely! Smile I would def cry too (almost crying now for you, i'm hopeless!!) Was that a dating scan then? How v special, enjoy looking after your little one Smile

broodysnoopstie · 01/11/2013 13:46

eeeeeek Grin Grin Grin Vicky that is so so so exciting!! I would of cried too! I'm so happy for you I'm sure your bean is warm and cosy and loving life with you.

Vickyvix · 01/11/2013 12:27

wood I know what you mean, if it is AF she should just get on with it - BUT I am very much hoping it is not AF and that she is far far away and not planning on visiting any time soon!

Good plan with the OPKs broody sounds like you've got it covered. Hopefully you can still DTD (quietly) even if you have people staying!

Latest news from over this way is that I saw my bean's teeny little heartbeat today, so lovely to see, made it all feel so real - and of course like the nutjob I am I had a little cry - so I just need to look after it now and hope it's comfy in there

broodysnoopstie · 01/11/2013 09:06

Hello all

No trick or treaters for me but I live in a flat with a building that has a buzzer/intercom entry and so I suppose they don't bother.

I'll be at work on Saturday and then OH is playing golf on Sunday my only day off so I think I'll lounge on the sofa

I've got cheapy Amazon ones and 20 clear blue... cheapy ones for first couple of days when I think I'm unlikely to get a smiley face and then CB for when I'm predicted to be ovulating... In an effort not to get obsessed and use all 20 at once as they are expensive.... I've just seen though that OH's friends are supposed to be staying over my predicted ovulation days... I'm guessing it's not generally acceptable to revoke an invitation to stay in our spare room because we are ttc and want to dtd??!! Confused Confused

like you say hope if AF is on the way she doesn't delay so you know where you are still got my fingers crossed though w

Thor 2 looks good enjoy!

Smile Smile

onelifeonechance · 01/11/2013 07:48

Nope - I am certain I won't change my mind, although I'd be itching to know!!!

We had NO trick or testers (ha!V) oh well, suppose I'll just have to eat all these sweets myself then!

We've got friends coming for the weekend, can't wait, they're bringing their little one. i'm off today to do the cleaning and get out my kenwood kmix poor relation to the kitchen aid but I love it!! Hope you all have fun Smile

W - keeping fingers crossed for you, last few days before af are usually the hardest, def keep busy, maybe you could live at the cinema and watch everything that's out?! Smile

woodwaj · 31/10/2013 22:46

Haha its not your day Vick

Happy Halloween to all we had 2 trick or treaters!! must try harder next year kids! So we have loads of sweets left! Got a lovely pic of baby Ben today in a skeleton baby grow I bought him!

Ive had a few AF types cramps this evening only very slight though, if its coming id rather it be sooner rather than later. OH has booked flights to see his parents next month in Spain and I have no holidays left and its right around the time of predicted Ov!

Jenny this is going to be the slowest 10 days ever!!

I take it you have gone for the clearblue ones broody? I think its the best choice even if its expensive!

Have a look around the shopsonelife I think you might change your mind once you see how pants the neutral baby things are!!

Looking forward to the weekend, we might go and see Thor 2, anyone else got plans?
