I think I might do sunday, I dont have any tests so I cant do tomorrow the longer the day goes on the more I know AF is on the way!

Vickyvix · 03/01/2014 22:01

Hi onelife good to hear from you, and hope you had a great Christmas/ new year etc. hoping this is lucky cycle 8 for you. hope you're doing ok, we're always here any time you fancy a natter.

wood didn't you say you ov'd around 19th/ 20th Dec? If so that would make it 14 dpo yesterday/ today by my calculations.......so maybe test Sunday?? If you can wait that long? You know me, I would have tested already I'm sure but I am never very patient. I would say hold out until Sunday, maybe Monday and then see? Spots may be a good sign - fingers crossed :)

woodwaj · 03/01/2014 19:23

Thanks onelife and good to hear from you! Sometimes its nice to hide away

onelifeonechance · 03/01/2014 16:35

Happy new year ladies!

I'm keeping a low profile for my own sanity, but i'm still here and thinking and hoping for you! Onto cycle 8 now, af started nye (great!) But hoping this will be all our years. Good luck Wood and Vicky can't believe you're 17wks, not far off halfway!

Take care all and good luck!

woodwaj · 03/01/2014 16:20

Oooh the alps very nice!! I wouldn't worry about over eating at christmas im pretty sure its the law!!

Still no AF as of 4pm today but I have come out in a few spots today which cant be a good sign! When would you test?

I cant wait to find out if your on team blue or pink its exciting

Vickyvix · 03/01/2014 08:58

Hi wood glad it's gone quickly for you, I have fingers firmly crossed for you and will be checking in for updates. It's so true that time goes by quicker when you're not in the normal daily routine of work/sleep/ thinking about DTD or symptom spotting. Hope you've had a lovely relaxing Christmas time.

I'm just starting my 17th week (all goes a bit fast), counting down the days to the scan at start of Feb when we get to know whether it is a boy or girl Grin

Feeling extremely fat right now though, pretty sure it's just Christmas food ( I went overboard with chocolate) and mountain food (we are in the alps at the moment), am seriously avoiding the scales Blush

amylou it's a hard question but as wood says you are lucky you are both coming from the same place and know that perhaps you're not ready yet. Personally I never really had any strong urge to have a child until I turned 30 and then it hit me (hard) and I could think of nothing else but my DH felt the same and so for us it felt right to try. For a long time before that I was either thinking 'maybe we should' or 'I'm not ready because I don't want the responsibility'.

You're young and have so much time to enjoy yourself without being tied down with a child. The urge you have is probably because you have found somebody that you care about so much that you want to have children with them, which is a lovely thing to have. If you feel in yourselves that you are too young and not in a stable enough place to provide for a child yet then my advice is to wait and try when you feel ready. Your hormones are probably racing and you'll find this urge passes and soon you will be thinking that you'd rather be enjoying the time you have with just your partner. I think it's relatively common for is women to flit between desperately wanting a child and actually really just enjoying all the fun you can have without one.

woodwaj · 02/01/2014 22:02

Im not sure amylou I think its just a woman thing? Hopefully its a feeling that will pass till your ready. At least you both on the same page and know what you want! That's the hardest part normally

amyloulou1 · 02/01/2014 19:05

hey ladies im looking for some help. im not sure if im normal i am only young at 19 and everywhere i look i see young girls pregnant, that isnt the issue they are more than welcome to if they look after the children well. what i am concerned about is my wanting for a child. i always said i didnt want children and now all of a sudden its all i can think about even though i dont have enough money to provide for one, im not sure this is normal as its never bothered me before. ive been with my partner for about a year now and we both know we are not ready but i still cant stop thinking about having my own child, is this normal? even though i know in myself im not ready, is there anyway i can stop thinking this way?

woodwaj · 02/01/2014 16:59

Welcome back! I was getting lonely! Not too bad its gone really fast. I think because I havent been in work I haven't noticed. Shows how much I day dream ha! Day 30 tomorrow thats the longest I will have gone so far so I might do a test sunday if no af? I dont feel any different though...other than fat from christmas cake and0d chocolate and biscuits and drink.... Sad

What week are you on now?

Vickyvix · 02/01/2014 10:33

A very merry Christmas to you all ladies xxxx

Hibou7688 · 21/12/2013 19:33

Tut! I feel robbed haha. I'll have to save these ones for super special ov testing days!

woodwaj · 21/12/2013 18:57

Nope! CB make much more money by telling you to use a new tester everytime. I think you can reuse it but theres not much point as you get a new one anyway!

Hibou7688 · 21/12/2013 16:35

Oh.. I was under the impression that cos they are much more expensive you only buy the tester once then the strips separately. Pee on each one once, but re use the tester each each time?

woodwaj · 21/12/2013 16:25

Thanks broody. I know I have ov'd or due to because its natural I had loooots of cm mainly on Thurs and some yesterday. Dtd last 2 nights and will today just incase hoping I havent missed it we were quite enjoying some time off haha.

Hibou, each pack comes with a new tester as well as strips you don't re-use them

Ive asked santa for a positive for me and my mumsnet friends for xmas! X

Hibou7688 · 21/12/2013 13:39

woodwaj · 18/12/2013 12:20

Hi all. Went to the hospital and he said I have responded well to the clomid and thinks I will ovulate on my own this month I presumed I wouldn't but he did give me a new supply of meds just incase and I would expect to be ovulating soon so looks like im possibly back in the game this month. Hasnt increased the dose of the clomis either!

broodysnoopstie · 17/12/2013 20:44

Rachswift · 17/12/2013 08:54

Hi I've in been in here about a week we are currently ttc it's can be very stressful we already have a 2 year old (nearly 3) and we feel it's the best time to start trying, the best advice I can give any one is not to stress, we've said if it happens it's happens! That's what we did with our last I did everything to get pregnant and 1 month we decided we weren't going to stress out and obsess with tryin as we were going on holiday in 3 months time. I found out a week before going on holiday that I was 6 weeks pregnant! Enjoy sex it shouldn't b stressful Wink

Vickyvix · 17/12/2013 08:37

Hi wood good to hear from you. That sounds like a mammoth load of Xmas do's! I'm impressed. And decorating too! I have been meaning to paint a single wall for about 6monyhs and still haven't done it Blush

Yes, we are definitely going to find out next visit what this little bean is, I can't possibly not know for the next 5.5 months! I'm almost 14 weeks now.

broody I hope you managed to get some DTD in last night/ this morning Grin
