Hi

Just thought as there was a thread for the older mums (there words not mine)Smile
that i would start one for the younger ones.

Think AF is on her way (fingers crossed) as i normally have 48-70 cycles this will be my first one at 34/35 days - yippee.

It probably won't happen now, anyway feel free to write away.

TTC 11 month - waiting for appoinment at fertlity clinic.

What does metformin do?

Don't worry about your language mine is a bit choice at times.

I know it is very frustrating when we don't work properly.

WantAbabyNOW · 29/07/2006 13:46

WantAbabyNOW · 29/07/2006 13:40

Hi Nat,

I am not on clomid yet. Specialist was going to give it to me but realised dh had not done sperm count yet so wll give it to me at next appoint which is in 7 weeks! Gave me metformin for now which has made me sick. Decided to take only half three times a day for a week or so and that seems to be a bit better.

Have no munchkins yet.. but have 20 on weekdays at school so will just have to be content on that and sopending time with my neices and nephews.

I joined a gym at beginning of the year... has done nothing... apparently now also have pcos...

Bloody hell can we not all just buy new bits to replace the ones that dont work?

Only had af twice this year.. on day 62

Natty1806 · 29/07/2006 13:35

Hi wantababynow!

I don't ov either first gyne appointment on Monday.

Are you on clomid? I am hoping this is what they will give me.

Do you have children already?

Nicki10 · 29/07/2006 11:52

Gosh Natty sorry have you had your appointment or is it this Tues?

Nicki10 · 29/07/2006 10:49

LOL Bubblez at the potty training my friends little girls 2.5 also always liked to see her poo in the potty. Only thing is she used to pick it up and trail it round the house in her hands to show everyone! To her mums great disapproval

I of course didn't have to clear it up so thought it was hilarious which only encouraged her!

Beccy1974 · 29/07/2006 09:56

same time for me bubblez.. due on weds or poss thurs; did a first response y/day bfn funnily enough

you'll be fine nicki, you're young & you go to gym .. am sure that will help

yes good luck to those bding looks like last of hot day's anyway so easier after today

bubblez · 29/07/2006 09:19

My lo is stuffing her face with ceral lol (always pleases me when she eats well) going through a faise though where she doesn't listen to me (normally she is very well behaved) but she is 2.5 so I supose it is normal . I still have nappies to contend with she isn't taking too well to the potty. Will have to try again soon.

Nicki hun where have you been? How is your pgnancy going? Any MS? Is it sinking in now? So happy for you..... Good luck telling the rents bet they are going to be over the moon!!

I'm on cd27 so should be testing soon the earliest being tomorrow. Sometimes I have 31day cycles so not sure if I should wait till tuesday. Been getting cramping in my pelvis(sp) for the past 4days unfortunately it is probably af showing that she is coming. Tis a little unusual though as I normaly only get period pains the day before af arrives not 5days before I'm even due and they don't seem to be strong enough for af pains. Oh I don't know guess I'll find out soon enough though. Hopefully it isn't af pains.

Nicki10 · 29/07/2006 09:08

Hi girls

How are you all doing? Is anyone testing soon? I want to see some more BFP's

Thank you Beccy for your kind words yesterday, just thought that the hardest part would be getting pregnant and now it seems to be keeping the little one in there .

Well I'm off to tell my parents properly today (dad doesn't know at all!)

How is the BDing going now it's cooled off a bit? What CD are we all on?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and do lots of BDing

Xavielli · 29/07/2006 09:00

Hey Bubz. LO's are yummy! Thanks for asking how is yours?

We are talking about Pumpkin Patch and Boori.
I love all the Boori sleigh beds. I have seen them on eBay. Pumpkin patch is wonderful, they don't so much do baby clothes, but adult clothes for babies. Some of their ranges, esp for girls, are a little bright and outrageous but on the whole their clothes are lovely.

Beccy1974. Don't worry about the baby names thread. There are always people who will object to something or other. I had a certain amount of original at cod's comments but on the whole its not going to make a difference is it? My two children with "stupid sounding names" (wow,... atleast I can spell that! lol) are probably the happiest I have ever seen and no one in my family thinks they are too outrageous.
It made interesting reading either way, I am glad you started it.

Gotta go, smelly nappies. Enjoy your last few months without them girls! lol

bubblez · 29/07/2006 08:45

Welcome WantAbabyNOW what are these shops you and X are talking and do they have websights. [nosey emotion]

Hiya beccy, I know, there is always someone to turn a perfectly fluffy thread into a war zone. How are you feeling anyway any symptoms? How you holding off testing (I know that you caved once)... What's made you decide to temp?

WantAbabyNOW - when do you think that you will be testing?

Hows everyone else today?
How are the lo's X?

Beccy1974 · 29/07/2006 08:34

i only started the baby names thread to show that there was a survey which u could reply to if you wanted. has turned into a class war!

on a pesonal note am going to start temping next month if no success this month; af due weds or thurs and just no idea of what my body does and when

hope everyone has nice plans for w'end
B

WantAbabyNOW · 29/07/2006 08:29

Im sure you guys had some of that stuff on the website. Our help desk said it was available there too but too bad cause they wont send it here!

So what is the go with everyone going bonkas on the baby name thread? Stress heads huh?

Did you check out the boori website? Which stuff do you like?

Xavielli · 29/07/2006 08:23

Yep. That is me!

Bummer, all our summer stuff this year was red/grey.

I think I remember the jungle stuff.

WantAbabyNOW · 29/07/2006 01:21

Hi there xavelli,

The cots are cute! I have the sleigh one in english oak, the 2 drawer changer and the junior robe. The cot is great because it comes with a sliding drawer underneath. You can also get the ddrawers seperately on wheels wich is great as I have onenunder my bed that I put all my shoes in!Have a look on the kidsline merchandise site. we ended up with the zanzibar linen but I also love the gossamer wings. I am obsessed with giraffes and zebras at the moment.

You can get boori in the uk now. I read it somewhere on the internet. Their factory is actually 15 mins from where I live but they dont do whole sale or anything!

I think you guys have the safari range at your pumpkin patch now. It was last summers stock and it is still wnter here although they are getting ready for the coming summer.

I think I must be OCD!

Have a picture of the jacket if you want to see. I almost won one on ebay but was outbid by 50c while I was at work. Have not come across another one since!

And yes.. I will have a baby... and so will all of us if we keep up with doing as we are told by the quacks!

A lady I worked with tried for 7 years and now had ds almost 2. Very cute little man!

Are you the same person who was on the baby name thread?

Xavielli · 28/07/2006 14:22

OMG those cots are gorgeous!!!! I want 2!!!

BTW it is still summer over here and I gather the pumpkin patch safari gear is a winter range if they are selling it in Oz atm?? If so they should be coming to us in the next month or so! Will keep a look out for the jacket and mail you one if you like.

You WILL have a baby!!!

WantAbabyNOW · 28/07/2006 10:57

Hi there averyone, I have been checking out this thread- hope you don't mind.

I live in Australia and Dh and I have been ttc for almost 2 years. I am 27 and he is almost 28. Recently had our first fertility clinic appoint and was given metformin which to be honest, has kept me in the little girls room way too often.

I am a primary school teacher and have 10 kindy and 10 year 1 students. The community I work in must drink water filled with baby dust because many families have up to 5 kids!

Currently on CD62. Only had two visits from af this year.

Am going out of my mind with thoughts of getting BFP. When I get like this DH thinks the way to fix it is to buy me a puppy. I now have two beautiful maltese terriers. The youngest is about 10 weeks old. Although they are adorable, there is still something missing! We have three major baby stores in my suburb and I feel compelled to visit and 'collect' future needed items.

I think this has worn off on DH and we have recently purchased a nursery full of Boori furniture. It was expensive, but so beautiful. They have a website (www.boori.com.au) for anyone who is interested.

Have also stocked up on pumpkin patch clothing. Love the baby safari range. There is one item I can not get here anymore and I am so frustrated! For those of you who are pumpkin patch shoppers I am referring to the baby safari hooded jacket. It's so cute!

Another website with some cute stuff I have managed to get is (www.kidline.com.au) My hubby bought the zanzibar range for me off ebay.

I think we are both obsessed. It seems to be all I can do to push myself to continue going to the vaious appointments and tests that we are being sent to rather than just leaving it till later and hoping for the best.

Sorry to ramble... I just started typing whatever came into my head!

bubblez · 26/07/2006 22:22

I have family in Limasol, Niccosia and Paphos. WOW I am impressed my Greek is minimal to say the least It was never spoken at home and my mum was brought up in a childrens home and lost all her greek.

Bding is just for fun now (although saying that I can't be bothered anymore, bad I know) I'm on cd24 now so it is all about waiting. [impatient emotion]

Xavielli · 26/07/2006 22:04

hehe I know what Greek families can be like! lol Where abouts are your family from? DP is from the part that is now the Turkish side (famagusta) and was ejected aged 3! Hoping to start teaching DS greek soon... I just have to get the phrases down

Hows the BDing going? (err... not that I want details! lol) just remember to keep yer bum in the air!

bubblez · 26/07/2006 21:51

Oh I see, that is lovely that you gave your children greek names , I am greek cypriot and dd is called Mia(not very greek) although she isn't full greek. It still caused a few problems with my family though...ooopss hehe.

You handled it well Xavielli I know that when dealing with those sort of ppl I have had to errase a good few foul words before posting.

Xavielli · 26/07/2006 21:47

BTW Nicki... I think Poppy and Daisy are very sweet names. I like the flowery names... Lily is my favourite.

Xavielli · 26/07/2006 21:45

Hey Bubblez. with re:being greek. I am not greek. My DP is Greek-Cyproit and therefore the children are and I have embraced this part of their heritage.

People seem to forget some times that everyone is not like them!!

Good to see you BTW
