Hi

Just thought as there was a thread for the older mums (there words not mine)Smile
that i would start one for the younger ones.

Think AF is on her way (fingers crossed) as i normally have 48-70 cycles this will be my first one at 34/35 days - yippee.

It probably won't happen now, anyway feel free to write away.

TTC 11 month - waiting for appoinment at fertlity clinic.

Yeah, Christmas babies are yummy... Xavi is december 29th... best Christmas pressy I ever got! Mind you... I got an equally good easter pressy this year too

Thanx Xavielli, dd is a good child sleeps through etc loves babies but daren't touch RL ones unless I give her the go ahead. I remember now seeing your two LO's on the profiles thread, gorgeous children.

Spinamum - congrats on your xmas baby my dd was born two weeks before xmas. Makes it extra special.

Hey Bubblez!

I have two and they are great together and I love having two.. they are only 15months apart tho so I don't know how much of a difference that makes as I think Xavi is still too young for jealousy and so forth. He just thinks is facinating!

I think as long as DC on is a good kid and sleeping thru etc then a newborn is a breeze compared to toddler.. It's wonderful.. I put her down and she stays there!! lol

haven't got lo2 yet. due on xmas day! Compared to my friends, i've waited ages(my bodies choice not mine!) between kids. all theirs have just turned one in the last few mnths(older ones turning three as we speak!)They've all had their ups and downs but are loving it now. I think the first few months were tough.Newborns and 21mth olds.

They all got pg really easily. i had to wait. Hope it happens for you all soon!! {big cheesey hug emoticon}

lol @ Nicki and the effort to BD, I understand, sometimes it's an effort for me and were not even trying yet.. AF will end soon and then DP will have to decide... Hopefully I will be joining you girls soon on the Conception:July thread...

Sort of hijack.

i'm not TTC at moment,but was for ages!!!!!! I'm 15 wks into 2nd preg. I was pg with first at 26(had DS at 27) and I'm (whisper it) 30 now. I felt really young compared to the other mums at my hospital "lecture " on scans and one of the other mums said to me it didn't matter if my baby didn't turn out viable beacuse i was young enough to try again.
Anyway as it turned out, my local mummy friends are all my age or a bit older.(mummy's age stops mattering once you have the kids.Then you're the mumof a ...month or....year old!)

I had my DS when I had just turned 25 and am expecting a little girl in November. I am now 27.

When my DS was born I had been in a stable, loving relationship for more than 8 years and married for 7 years. We have our own nice house and reasonably good jobs. I now work part time and yes we have had to make sacrifices but I think you have to regardless of age. We don't run a car or take as many holidays as we used too but we are extremely happy.

There dosn't seem to be many women our ages having children. When I was in hospital after having DS, I either felt really old against all the teenage mums or really young against those in their late thirties!

I cancelled it as DP has said we should wait and see how we get on at nhs first.

Hopefully they should send an appoinment through in the next few weeks, so i am going to try and forget about it and think about my holiday for now.

No Bding last night for me, think we have done poor this month so not expecting to do a test in a few weeks. don't think my body has decided to work properly afterall.

Spugs - that is what I worry might happen to me. I keep thinking that I will manage to pursued dp into having no 2 and then have problems TTC. Three years is a long time and my cicle is irregular to say the least, it's funny, I'm only 24 but feel as though I'm far from the extreemly fertile 21 yr old I was when I first concieved.

Anyway maybe I'm getting ahead of myself DP might just point blank refuse to have another. Will find out soon though. If he does then ggggrrrrrr

Thank you all for your lovely messages and support.

If I was lucky enough to fall pregnant now I would be twenty three when I gave birth and I already have my degree and I have worked in my chosen career but to me a family and children have always been more important.

Well done to you girls with children already and a young family you have achieved a lot more than most 30 somethings who are still single and out on the lash every friday and saturday (not to say I don't like the odd cheeky cocktail!)

I hope we all get BFP's soon!

had my 1st at the grand old age of 20 and just had my 2nd 10 wks ago at the ancient age of 25 . fell pregnant with my first in one night but my second took 4 mths. Same happened to my sister but her second took 3 years! i love being a young mum and ouldnt change it for the world, even considering trying for number 3 as i would love a boy (got 2 girls)

I agree about ignoring the negative comments.

I did get a b@~#ckin from dp's mum though, you know, the usual 'you lot are effin up your lives', 'your trapping my son', 'you won't be good mother material'. But I can safely say that my life is far from effed up, dp stays with us because he loves us and finally I think I make a dammn great mother!!

IMO having children at a young age is a bonus and if you feel as though you and your partner are ready then go for it...

Nicki10 - I got pregnant with DS at 18 (nearly 19) people who knew me where fine with it and knew that it was what I wanted and that I could cope with it.

Stranger however used to tell me that I was ruining my life ie.. not finishing my education etc etc. On that note.. I am going back to college/uni this year when DD is 5 months to get a career, which I know I never would have found the motivation to do so if I hadn't had my babies... They make me want to improve myself to make their life better IYSWIM.

Just ignore them.. you'll be a great Mum.. the fact that you want this baby with your all says so to me!

My mum had me when she was twenty four but it took her two and a half years of trying, and we have always been extremely close even though I know live in London we still talk on the phone at least once a day but normally twice this is what i would like for me and my children as well.

I feel like a have to tell everyone how much we want kids so they don't think it's accidental!

I'm not a first time mum but I am 24 and trying to convince DP that we should try for DC2 this month. If I can convince him to try for no 2 will I qualify for this thread??? [begging face]

Oh and Nicki10 I fell pregnant with my DD a month after my 21st bday and I can curtainly say that I had my fair share of people treating me as though I was just a child. I even had people ask me how old I was (disaprovingly) while I was pregnant, thinking I was yonger than my age. But my mum had me at 19and a half and I think that we are closer for it.
