hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

I'm still planning to loiter too ... got to see you get that BFP MrsA!

Got my 3+ on the CB digi this morning so happy with that - makes me feel that my hormones are at the right levels, hope so anyway. 12 wks feels like a lifetime away at the moment.

MrsAnderson22 · 07/10/2013 21:27

Leons I'm sorry you are having problems, get yourself healthy and 2014 will be your year!

Mrs A every other day is fine so don't worry about today. You could always try for an early Sunday morning rather than evening if you think you're ovulating that day.

greeneone12 · 05/10/2013 21:28

Leons glad you had the appt. Thank goodness they are investigating now and offering scans etc. I think you are amazing being so positive about the future. Focussing on getting your body in tip top condition will be a good thing to concentrate on.

MrsA no panic! You need to be nice and relaxed ;-)

MrsAnderson22 · 04/10/2013 22:17

So I saw my GP this morning, and its all a bit worrying. The mid cycle bleeding and then period arriving early (if it was my period) is a concern, she thinks there cld still be something left that didnt come away with the miscarriage in August, she said or its possible I cld have had another pregnancy/miscarriage since August (the 'period' I thought I had this week was very heavy with lots of clots). I did test at one stage but it was negative so didnt occur to me. She sent me for a blood test as I maybe anaemic and has referred me for a ultra sound scan too. She recommended I should wait now for 2 cycles before ttc again, as my ovaries and body need time to recover in order to produce some good eggs. So Im going to wait. sighs heavily. Despite my age, shes supportive of me ttc. She said obviously higher risks, but says there are risks with everything. She is seeing more and more older women who are having their first babies at 42, and older. Its number 3 for me, and I can obviously get pregnant at 42. So Im going to concentrate on me getting healthier and all going well start again in Jan, and hopefully be having number 3 at 43...

Just have a feeling about twins... We'll see.

I've already had to register DD at pre-school & they said term before 3rd birthday to start & funding from term after 3rd birthday. Bloody hell.

greeneone12 · 03/10/2013 21:52

MrsRV why do you think twins? Xx

greeneone12 · 03/10/2013 21:05

Hold on....depends what you mean by pre-school!

greeneone12 · 03/10/2013 21:05

They don't go to pre-school until the term after their third birthday....I am sorry I am getting a bit confused! Don't listen to me x

MrsRV · 03/10/2013 15:51

And what if I'm right about twins???? SHIT.

MrsRV · 03/10/2013 15:51

I'm confused. DD is 19 months nearly, born 12.03.12. So, from what I can gather she'll start pre-school the term before her third birthday, so Jan 2015...I'll still be off onset leave with DC2 being born May 2014. From After Easter in 2015 DD will get 15 hours preschool funded... Then DD will start school aged 4 & half in Sept 2016... So from when I go back to work (prob April 2015) until September 2016 I'll have 2 x childcare costs less the 15 hours a week of funding for DD. is that right?? So that's a year and a half of double costs. Oh Jesus Christ. Declare bankruptcy now I think!!!!!

greeneone12 · 03/10/2013 13:18

Thanks Leons. I didn't really say anything when she told me. Just said goodbye to the childminder and thought it over at home. She thenn asked me to drop DD 5 mins early so we could chat. It is all sorted now and Stephanie was very happy to go there today and yesterday so no long term harm done.

MrsRV If you don't go back to work until 2015 then you probably won't have much crossover will you? DD will be 4 by then. Depends on when their birthday is in the year.

If this pregnancy goes well then my DD will go to school in Sept 2015 so I will have 6 months of crossover as I would have to go back to work Feb 2015.

cheesysmile · 02/10/2013 23:16

8 wks seems like a lifetime away to me right now mrsrv so yeah know what you mean abt time dragging! I'm 4+4 today and just want to 12 wks already!

cheesysmile · 02/10/2013 23:14

MrsAnderson22 · 02/10/2013 21:06

Xx

I'm ok thanks cheesy, so far so good. Will be 8 wks on Friday. Have my first Drs appt on Monday so hoping to get my scan date shortly after that.

Talk about time dragging!!!!!!!

cheesysmile · 02/10/2013 19:50

I guess just look at where you might be able to cut back and like Leons said try to save as much as you can now so can use to boost income later.

Hi MrsRV how you doing, how many wks are you now?

Leons · 02/10/2013 18:33

greenone apologies to you and MrsA got u muddled. I haven't encountered anything like that yet, glad to say. My own 2 year old DD says things like that frequently, accusing her brother of hitting her and she tries to insist that I tell him off. I think the majority of times with children that age its an attention seeking thing. I appreciate its not always the case. Maybe she saw one of the other children pinching. How did you deal with it when she told you?
Congrats anyway on your fab news, I understand your other half is worried, but u say extra cost is for 6 months, can u try say a bit in the meantime to have for the 6 months. Will your childminder give you a siblings discount? I too know of family who operated at a loss for a year until the eldest was in school, for them they felt in the long run the mum would still have continuity in her job, and eventually her salary wldnt get eaten up paying for childcare.

MrsRV · 02/10/2013 16:40

Oh man - if DD is 2 mid March and new 1 due mid May... How much double childcare am I going to have??? I guess I'll go back to work April 2015? DD will be at preschool and getting 15 hours of funding a week until when? HELP.

Act now,think later Smile

Congrats green1. Lets hope Oct is your month Mrs A.... Xx

greeneone12 · 02/10/2013 09:40

Cheesy that's great news! MrsA have all my fingers crossed.

DP is upset because now, if this pregnancy is successful, then it means we will have 6 months of paying double childcare - which means we will be wiped out financially. Saying that my friend is currently not breaking even with her monthly finances so maybe it is do-able for a short period of time. I guess as long as we can pay the bills and buy food we will survive!

Leons my daughter accused my childminder of pinching her arm yesterday. We have a great working relationship but it's was obviously quite upsetting for me and her to hear my DD say that. She is 3 so I know she may be exaggerating. I just wonder if you have had any similar experiences?
