hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

how's everyone doing? still no +opk as yet but a little 'snot trail' today :D not egg white though :/ so carry on peeing and dipping til my +! anyway it's 2 weeks today til AF is due which should mean I was in the 2ww, I have no qualms saying my af will come as expected I'm always bang on date! so will be testing around 13th anyway xx

I've had the closest to a + this morning, top and bottom of the test line is as dark as the control line but the middle section is lighter........any ideas? xx

Hope you all have a good day!

MrsAnderson22 · 30/08/2013 00:33

hi cheesysmile, I am CD13....or 14 now as it's 12.30am! we have been bd'ing so hopefully I've just missed the surge on the tests, I'll check back in tomorrow after my morning test and night one, to let you all know.

xx

cheesysmile · 30/08/2013 00:26

Mrs A I think it is possible to miss the surge with the opks so maybe just keep dtd for a bit longer? What CD are you on.

Hi RB, sounds like you've had it a lot tougher than me, but you sound like your coping well. Yep im ttc #1 too ... excited still but nervous now after mc. I think just use the one thermometer as consistency prob more important than accuracy iyswim. Where are you in your cycle, are you in the 2ww now or not sure?

I'm off to sleep now ladies, Nighty Smile

rb30 · 29/08/2013 23:28

Oh ladies, I appear to have missed pages 4-5 of thread! I'm so sorry for your losses Leons! You seem to be remaining very strong and determined. Very inspiring.

Mrs a I hope you feel ok. The pain is unusual isn't it? Have you had it checked?

Cheesy I know af not welcome, but look at this way, at least your body is back to normal, having a good clean up of the uterus, meaning ttc will be much easier (sorry , trying to stay positive for you as in same situation...though still waiting for AF).

Positive and Mrs RV is the big O happening for you as expected

Will catch up on all tomorrow . Love lots xxxx

rb30 · 29/08/2013 23:19

Lol to all the funny stories you share / nicknames etc...I'm catching up so sitting here feeling all your positive energy.

Thanks for the advice cheesy...I didn't think to temp after mc despite having bought 2 x the kit! So haing read yours I have taken my temp today with both thermometers and have 2 diff results...great start...

I've had CM but can't tell whether its sticky rice or egg white...neither would be things I associate discharge to...

I hope all you ladies are well and are going strong with dtd ... Hubby has been on night shift this week so no dtd for us (this is when I've had most cm).

MrsA and Mrs RV I understand you have children. Positive do you? Cheesy I reckon you and I are in same boat trying for first? Apologies if I have got this wrong. Quite a lot to read so may have got it all mixed up.

This is my second mc in 7 months - dec 12 was first...natural and very early.lots of clotting and it took about 3 months for my periods to get back to normal. I was using opks but found they never gave me a positive result. So in April, during the 4th period after mc, I went to an acupuncture fertility specialist. I got pregnant that cycle. Now I'm not a tree worshipper or a big doollaly fan of homeopathic treatments but he was fantastic! The observations he made were spot on. I'm veggie and he told me the lack of iron and lack of "good" enough blood flow through my uterus would make it difficult to get pregnant, or give me difficulties during pregnancy. It made sense to me.

Sorry I've gotten carried away writing this. I'm just in awe of him. Dh and I have been ttc since we jut married in July 2011 and I finally conceived in dec 12 and lost baby very soon after. So getting pregnant this time round, and staying pregnant for longer I truly believe the acupuncturist played a part. I actually ended up cancelling appointment during pregancy because I became so sick from the all day sickness (it can be called morning...not when one vomits dawn, morning, noon, dusk and night) I couldn't get in car and drive to him. Happy to share his details if you're anywhere near Solihull.

Re sickness I was vomiting until I went in to have medical mgt! 3 weeks after I found out no heartbeat, and probably 5 weeks since baby had actually stopped developing. My body was so pregnant. tummy was growing, boobs hurt like mad with milk in it...so if anyone says the sickness and the hormones are a good sign, don't take their word for it. Your body may have right hormone levels but the baby may just not be ready...

I am soooooooooo sorry I've written an essay...I almost feel like I'm writing a diary entry or something. Thank you for reading (*).
Anyway will stop now.

I hope all goes well for you ladies and the shagging and the ovulating happens as you need

Big hugs and kisses xxxxxxxxx

MrsAnderson22 · 29/08/2013 20:59

its just so frustrating cos my body is telling me one thing and the tests another! cramping/bearing down/heavy feeling, different to AF cramps but at the same time no 'snail trail!'

I really don't know what to think :/

Those bloody tests are more hassle than they're worth... I'm glad I haven't started. I'm addicted enough to pregnancy tests! I hope they are not causing you undue stress MrsA, last thing your bod needs xx

MrsAnderson22 · 29/08/2013 20:03

aaaaah!! another -opk!!! this is driving me insane!! maybe I ovulated early? or going to late? will keep testing obviously, tomorrow is the date I'm due to O so maybe it'll show up then...

Thanks ladies.

I will defo be breaking the wine out this weekend!

Hope you get a +opk soon MrsA, maybe that you are just ovulating later than expected this month - keep dtd!

Hope the wait isn't too frustrating MrsRV - FX for a bfp soon Smile

MrsRV · 29/08/2013 16:35

Aww cheesey.... How rubbish. At least u can raise a glass to being back to normal!!! Officially 1ww for me. Although not sure I've even ovulated.

MrsAnderson22 · 29/08/2013 16:24

oh no cheesysmile :( fingers crossed for next month!!

I'm due to ovulate tomorrow and still having -opk's...xx

AF just got me Sad

So CD1 for me today now - this is my first AF after the mc so keeping my fx its not too bad and hoping for a more normal and positive cycle this time round.

cheesysmile · 29/08/2013 10:17

Have you guys thought about taking your BBT (basal body temperature) to pin point ovulation? It doesn't tell you when you're going to ovulate, but it does tell you that you have so you know when you can stop ddt quite so much! My tactic is to try to dtd every other day where possible after AF until I see the sustained temperature shift upwards which tells me I've ovulated. Also I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant this cycle because my temperature dropped yesterday and is still lower again today, when I was pregnant last month it got higher towards the end of the 2ww.

MrsAnderson22 · 28/08/2013 23:39

just to add, I did a opk today, in fact, 2 of them! first one had a very faint line which is negative and 2nd one had a stronger line which was not much different/lighter than the control line.....still a negative though! so annoying! I was willing it to just go that one shade darker. tomorrow is another day for pee collecting and dipping I suppose :/ xx

well, still no 'snail trail' for me either, at least not externally! I certainly haven't noticed it, but usually do every other month. I do have cramp today, more of a bearing down pressure cramp than a sharp one though! it will be what it will be I suppose :/ so frustrating.......I want a +opk and some slime please :D anyone else think the DH's have it easy haha xx

OP posts:
MrsRV · 28/08/2013 21:27

I'm sure I usually have snail trails all the time. This month nothing, as dry as a... Grin Perhaps I'm just taking notice for the first time. Or perhaps I'm ovulating late. I had a couple of pangs of sore boobs today & a few period type aches. I've read they could be signs of ovulation... That's a bit of a bugger if it is late ov... Means 2ww may have become 3ww??

cheesysmile · 28/08/2013 18:44

Ha ha ... I do that too with my app! To the point where DH has noticed so now I try and wait at least until he goes to the bathroom to update it!

I also update the app every morning with my temperature. DH gets annoyed with me coz thermometer makes a bleeping noise and he says it wakes him up - oh well!

On the EWCM front I think it's different for each person. I have noticed some a couple of days before ov but its not loads and like positive said as long as its in the right place it doesn't need to be visible on the loo roll / in you pants. I read a fertility friend kindle book which has quite a bit of info on all this - its free to download if you have a kindle, just search for fertility friend.

MrsRV · 28/08/2013 12:53

Talk about notches on the bed post!!!!

MrsAnderson22 · 28/08/2013 11:40

hahaha that's exactly what I do! straight away, mark my app!

MrsRV · 28/08/2013 07:23

MrsA true to form I've not noticed any of that stuff either, ewcmvsmjdad or whatever it's called i.e. Snail trail. Worry worry worry.

However, I am officially in the 2ww. Hate to admit it but not saying actual out loud and still shagging just in case.

AF due 6th September. Only a week and a half to go. Will blatantly cave & test early though.

Hubby just knows we have to shag, a lot, & he's happy with that funnily enough :-) don't tell him about my obsessive compulsive disorder for TTC Internet abuse Grin and don't tell him what I'm doing when I lean over the side of the bed after DTD to put a heart on my calendar.

MrsAnderson22 · 28/08/2013 03:32

so who says romance is dead huh??....WHILST dtd tonight, I had to laugh when DH said "now for the most important part! Filling you up!!" have to admit, in hindsight, makes me sound like a car! we had a giggle anyway, got me out of my foul mood, which is lasting a little too long for my liking!

positive, thanks for your advice re ewcm, google has become my friend over the past few weeks too haha xx

Cheesy smile yes I defo know that feeling I find before ovul I am very excited and when I think it's happened feel haven't done enough missed it and feel really depressed and want to give up as dreaded AF feel just needs to hurry up !!!

Mrs a I'm not the best to ask never noticed it before and fell pregnant and didn't notice it even when got a positive yday on opk so all women diff ... There does have to be some cm but as long as its inside to help keep the sperm swimming I believe it's ok ... The conceive plus helps as makes sure right condition for the sperm to live and swim to the egg lol you really can tell google is place I have been living in for a month or so now .... Hope it makes sense.

I am so moody and really do hope have dtd at right times bed broke tonight so no baby juice for me and I'm in a crank so have had a strop and he's asleep !!!

Xx
