Anyone trying for no 3?

Going to start trying for a third in August, I already have a dd10 and a ds7. I don't mind a boy or a girl but if I could choose I would choose a girl as still have all dd gorgeous little dresses and cardigans don't know what happened to ds clothes!
Anyone else mad enough to try for a third??

ELR, the 2WW is nerve wracking.. I've caught quickly the 2nd time and slowly the 1st, so unsure what to expect, coupled with my post-35 age, though saw an article about it not being any different in late 30's so we'll see.

My two are Christmas babies, so looking at the EDD's from now we're looking at May onwards. It would be nice to have a summer baby for a change :-)

When were everyone else's born?

ELR · 19/08/2013 08:40

bunny good luck I know what you mean about the ruined tummy!!
How is everyone else doing?
I am in the two week wait and have every symptom in the world I'm so paranoid! Currently feeling slightly queasy and weeing a lot and I think my nipples feeling tingly but not sure! To be honest all this stuff usually happens anyway around a week before af so just not sure.
I fell pregnant both times on first go with first two so I'm hoping it will happen again.

Ooh, hello ladies, I'm in!

Decided to TTC this week, I'm 37, and I have 2 DS aged 5 and 2.

I also had a MMC between them. It took almost a year TTC DS1 and I caught DS2 the first month I had a normal cycle post-MC of our beloved angel baby.

Usual concerns about being post-35, will it be different as DS1 was a vaginal birth and DS2 was emergency section, could this affect my ability to conceive?

I also had gallbladder out last month, and didn't want to TTC / be pregnant with all that pain, so ahem, this is my first normal cycle post op. Although I think my cycle which went a bit skewy has settled down now gallbladder gone.

So I'm optimistic, and looking forwards to getting to know you all.

Is there a pregnancy thread for no. 3's?

My DS1 is desparate for another sibling, and is busy thinking of names, he was/is quite challenging to DS2, so I'm unsure how the dynamic will change there.

DH is the most laid back I've ever seen him about the prospect of a 3rd, especially as he was panic stations at the responsibility of the 1st, but it's nice to see him so relaxed.

My tummy is ruined with the two boys (DS2 was +10lb) and the gall bladder has left more scars, so have no vanity worries anymore.

Speak to you all soon.

Oh and CD8 at the moment, and DTD on CD6, and.. well it's down to DH..

pommedechocolat · 17/08/2013 11:21

oo im so jealous of all the people trying already!

Jealous of the holiday too elr!

ohcluttergotme · 16/08/2013 21:19

Hi, can I join thread please with the other nutters!
Have a 14 year old dd & almost 4 year old ds. For the last 2 years have been ttc but went back on my pill after 18 months as thought we're mad, we're skint, we are crippled with mortgage & our house is tiny! Also when I'm off my pill my hormones are all over the place!
I know in my heart though that I desperately want another baby and at 35 I can feel my biological clock ticking so we're back trying. The romantic in me thinks we have enough love for another ha, if I'm lucky enough to conceive sure I won't feel that with 2 hourly feeding a new born!
Did the bd and now in 2 week wait and as always symptom spotting. Due next week.
Good luck ladies Smile x

Hello, just checking in currently on holiday in the French alps and managed dtd on day 14. So am officially in the tww after dtd on day 11 and day 14 we were just so tired on days 12 and 13 so hopefully one of those days will be a success.
Really hoping for a girl but a boy would be fab too, I am def going to find out I can't stand surprises or suspense!
Good luck to all of you waiting for af never to arrive!

Gulp! Ok - me, Can I join - I'm trying for DC3? Well nearly. AF just arrived so as soon as it's gone then I need to have my coil taken out. But then the TTC can commence.

I have DS (3) and DD (14 months) and I have no strong preference - not going to find out the sex - but I have a teeny tiny preference for a boy. Having had a bit of a scare with DD though I really really just want a healthy baby.

Oh and I'm ancient (39) More of my friends becoming grannies than mothers these days!

Wine while I still can!

Luxlisbon82 · 15/08/2013 15:16

I'm due any day now too, but not feeling too hopeful. Just trying to forget about it but got a feeling af will come bang on time booo.

I have always wanted a little girl as I have 2 boys and this would be the last baby so would be nice, but right now I don't care, just want a bfp. Properly grumpy and doomladen so guess that's me out for this month.

How is everyone else? Anyone testing soon, need some positive news and inspiration!

Bloob · 15/08/2013 14:15

I have dd then ds so I think a girl would be nice, stop it turning into " dd and the boys" also ds and dc3 will be closer in age so I don't really want her left out. I don't have a huge preference though, it would just be more convenient! I love baby boys!

My af is due any day... Every time I go to the loo I say a little prayer. And then when there's still nothing I think - wait, am I crazy?!

pommedechocolat · 14/08/2013 09:24

Can't believe I used the wrong 'their'. Opps! Thats sweet ELR - no pressure though!

Good luck ThreeGoMad!

Anyone have any preference on what flavour dc3 is? I have two girls so a boy would be nice for me but I think a girl might be cool for the dds as three sisters sounds awesome (poor dh though!).

ThreeGoMad · 14/08/2013 07:34

CD11 here. Must have sex tonight. Must have sex tonight. Must have sex tonight. TTC is so romantic!

ELR · 13/08/2013 19:57

pomme dd is 10 and ds is 7 and both really want us to have another baby! Wonder what they will think in reality though!!

After that AF turned up early, so I'm now CD3 of cycle 2! Ah well, onwards and upwards - and this time round I'e actually got some vitamins in.

1 to 2 was a no brainer for us either pommedchocolat Deciding to go for 3 has been a bit trickier. After a short gap between 1 and 2 we do seem to be moving away from baby days already. Haven't got rid of anything though... Shall just see what happens - good luck everyone!

pommedechocolat · 13/08/2013 11:13

dd2 just starting to do some words and talk a bit. Cannot imagine this being the last time I get to join in this stage with a child of mine. I do also just feel constantly like someone is missing, like life is too easy!

Have you spoken to your two about their being another sibing elr - what do they think? DD1 is constantly asking me for another baby.

ELR · 13/08/2013 10:19

I know what you mean pomme my two have been being little monkeys these last few days and I was thinking oh my god what am I doing but it soon changes back to oh a little baby wouldn't that be nice!!

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 13/08/2013 10:15

Whoop whoop! Fingers crossed for the first BFP on this thread!

Having slight panic attacks today about having 3 littlies as my dds are being mega energetic!

ELR · 13/08/2013 00:11

Yay finally dtd! My first fertile day today so will have to try again Wednesday! Good luck everyone else.....

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 10/08/2013 22:10

Still waiting for dec!

We've told both sets of GPS we're thinking of a third and basically dh told my friends today so now I think I might get stage fright!

I veer from excited to totally and utterly petrified within the hour. 1 to 2 wasn't even a decision here, it was just taken for granted that we would. 2 to 3 seems much more major in comparison.

ELR · 10/08/2013 22:08

And now he's got a bloody cold!! It's going to be like sex in pretty women, as I def don't want a cold! No kissing!
Tomorrow day10 of cycle is supposed to be the first potential fertile day of the month, fingers crossed the stage fright has gone.....
How is everyone else doing?

More sympathy for you ELR.

Although you do paint a funny picture Grin

ELR · 08/08/2013 22:53

He's always been one to go on for ever, usually I don't mind but the only thing on my mind today was come on get it over with so I can stick my legs in the air!! Terrible I know but my only thought was conception must of had an expected look on my face.
Thanks ladies for the sympathy.

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 08/08/2013 22:08

Elr, dh was like this with ttc no 1. A kind of performance anxiety. He got over it (obviously!) - fingers crossed your dh gets over it sooner rather than later too.

Handsfullandlovingit · 08/08/2013 21:59

Oh ELR, you poor sausage, and your poor dh. I have absolutely no helpful advice (good stiff drink to jolly things up?) but wanted to sympathise. My dh occasionally has the opposite problem, but is somewhat, um, a bit worn out right now! Better luck next time. X

ELR · 08/08/2013 21:26

Hi all, so a bit tmi but dtd today and DH couldn't even after about 30 minutes of constant shagging!! He said it was the pressure of me expecting him to, I eventually got the hump which I suppose is what he is referring to! It's going to take ages to get pregnant if DH can't supply the goods!!

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 08/08/2013 10:35

There was a good article yesterday on the Daily Mail Femail website (i know, I know...) about a woman who wanted 3 but who's dh wanted to stop at 2. It said everything I feel about 2 being too'neat' somehow.

Sometimes though, like this am, tyring to get to work with the dds both crying, three seems like madness!
