Anyone trying for no 3?

ELR · 30/07/2013 15:10

Going to start trying for a third in August, I already have a dd10 and a ds7. I don't mind a boy or a girl but if I could choose I would choose a girl as still have all dd gorgeous little dresses and cardigans don't know what happened to ds clothes!
Anyone else mad enough to try for a third??

How is everyone doing??

My boobs are really really tingly the last few days. I tested this morning and there is a very very very slight line but not sure if it is an evap...I don't know when I ovulated (had really sore boobs and one sided hip pain on the 14th) so if I ovulated on 14 th I'm 12dpo but I could be less as not really up to scratch on all this conceiving malarkey...

ELR · 24/08/2013 09:32

I will add my stats too:
ELR- 36, dd10, ds7 ttc #3, cycle 1, BFP 29th August

I am symptom spotting like mad and its driving me crazy!
Had light cramping for last 2/3 days then yesterday thought I had a slight tinge of pink when I wiped having a wee, so was thinking implantation bleed. But then this morning had a headache and raised temp just like I do on the morning of my af! Boobs are sensitive and I have been having vivid dreams arrggg its driving me mad can't wait to Poas!!

pomme
I've had several cars with my three brood but not had many years where I have needed three car seats at the same time. When I did I had the fiat multipla which is a six seater so I'm not much help to you on that front. The two youngest have gone rear facing until the age of four as well so wrt car seats and cars I'm probably not the most conventional person to ask.

I have at the minute got an Alfa as just downsized last year from a Renault espace (bloody amazing car) as hadn't decided on dc4 then! Looking at the new carens now with its flippy boot seats.

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 23:05

Cool! To join the above
Onefunkymama 38, dd10 and ds 8, ttc #3 bfp on 4th cycle but went wrong, now on 5th cycle

pommedechocolat · 23/08/2013 23:03

three - what car do you have? Do three car seats fit along the back of 'normal' cars?

mypavlova · 23/08/2013 19:05

hey onefunkymama we are going for 3 and I am 43. You are a spring chicken!

ThreeFromDesire · 23/08/2013 18:48

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec
Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept
ThreeFromDesire 32, 12, 8 and 6, cycle 8, ttc#4, bfp 30th August

Two to three was a cinch! Just under two years gap between the last two and they get on famously most of the time
It's not really an issue from two to three except for when booking silly travel lodge rooms pre airport or utilising the family ticket options at attractions! Your car can stay the same and food shopping isn't too different cost wise.

Three to four means new minivan car and at the minute mine have a bedroom each plus we have a spare room which is handy but one more puts us at max capacity. I can't wait lol. I'm the eldest of nine and will go to five-seven or whatever I can squeeze in in between uni and work...

charleslingus · 23/08/2013 14:21

Oh, yes threefrom, please tell us how it was for you and what kind of age gap you have? Don't sugar coat it, we can take it!

I'm on a tablet and can't figure out how to cut and paste but:

Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept

pommedechocolat · 23/08/2013 14:06

I am so jealous of the trying. We're starting december.

You made me giggle threegomad! That would be 10 children....

three from desire - please explain in great detail moving from 2 to 3. How old are your dcs?

I think we should create a roll call.

I will start:

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 12:03

How old are you guys? I'm 38 and wondering if I'm the only oldie trying for No 3

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 12:00

I'm wondering when my cycle goes back to normal after a false start... doc said to wait a month before trying again but I highly doubt that will happen! This time I'm going to wait until I am a couple of weeks late to test, four +'s then loads of bleeding didn't do much for my confidence!

ThreeGoMad · 23/08/2013 09:21

Ok wtf. I am SO achy. Did think it might be my gut Blush but it's really low down. Not quite bad enough for painkillers but fancy curling up with a hot water bottle.

What can it be? Even if we got lucky this month (unlikely with timings) then surely it hasn't even implanted yet nor big enough to be stretching everything. Terrified my aging body has released all remaining eggs and I'm pregnant with octuplets

ThreeGoMad · 23/08/2013 01:30

On 2WW here though am really too impatient. Frustrating not knowing when I OVed so think will use opks next month. Very confused - had what I thought were ov pains a few days ago but have had achy lower torso/back for a few days now, plus now a bit spotty. So maybe am having super short cycle this month? Baffling.

CD20. Think I'm only about 3DPO though so at least a week to wait I'm a bugger for testing early Blush

onefunkymama · 22/08/2013 23:17

Hi Ladies, we're also trying for number 3. Have DD 10 and DS 8, I'm 38 so this is a bit of a late addition. Trying for a four cycles, tested + this month but ended the next day. Back into bed we go!

TwoCrazyKids · 22/08/2013 23:06

How's everyone feeling?? I might be just symptom spotting but my boobs have been so tingly. I'm dying to test but scared at the same time!

Die to test around the 1st...

SarahBumBarer · 22/08/2013 13:49

Wll just got my appointment for coil removal and it is weeks away. I'm going to miss September ov for sure so it will be October before we have any chance and I think I might skip October because I want to take the DCs to Camp Bestival in July (kids myelf that I will be fine there at 8 months pregnant). Assuming it all happens that quickly of course (it did with DD Shock)

ThreeFromDesire · 22/08/2013 10:39

On 3 going for 4...

rocks back and forth in corner

ThreeGoMad · 21/08/2013 10:40

Argh just lost my message!

Up and down here. Fertility website reckoned I'd ov on Sun but was away on long w/e with no chance to dtd. Was hoping to bookend with sneaky shag either side but neither happened so was feeling bit sad/cross about not even having a punt at a May baby.

Then yesterday, CD17, had loads of ewcm and achy ovaries* so seduced DH. Wondering whether ov got delayed by stress of going away or if luteal phase is fucked.

*both sides! Hoping this doesn't mean anything. Know lots of people who went for #3 and had twins ...

2lilgirls · 20/08/2013 09:58

Helloooo everyone Smile

I'll join you! AF has just finished and this will be our 3rd month ttc for number 3. I didn't use opk's the last 2 months, I said I'd begin with a relaxed approach. Obviously that didn't work!!

We are very sure of this, it will be our final baby. (All going well). But I'm also very nervous and on bad days I wonder am I mad!!

No.1 happened first month trying but no.2 took a year so Im really not sure what to expect this time.

Bunnybaby my last baby (now 2) was born by emergency Caesarian and my first dd was a vaginal delivery. I've never heard of previous c-sections having any effect on future conceptions. Lots of my friends have had c-sections and actually conceived a lot easier second time around, so I was of the opinion they may actually improve fertility.
My obstetrician told me after the section that everything looked great 'in there' and I remember being relieved as after a year ttc I was beginning to worry I had some issues.
I'm rambling now!

Best of luck to you all X

charleslingus · 20/08/2013 09:40

Hi,
I've namechanged, used to be luxlisbon!

Mine were due Christmas day and Valentine's day, both were a little late but with my birthday being not long after New year and dh' s birthday being on Valentine's day could really do with a spring/early summer baby.

Very aware there is no choice in the matter tho!

My two took no time at all and 4 months consecutively to conceive but I hadn't been on pill so not sure if this will affect things. On month 2 since first real af but month 3 since breakthrough and coming off pill, so who knows! Oh and 10 years older then last time!

Twocrazy, where are you in your cycle, I normally ov on day 14/15 and get the pain prob between day 13-15. But my cycle is 28 days and everyone varies.

Mumsnet has an ovulation calender in which you put in your stats- your last af,cycle length etc and it will give you a fertile week, or you can download free apps which will help you work out your fertile times, but the only sure fire way would be opks which you can pick up 20 for about 3 pounds on Amazon, they'll last a couple of months!

TwoCrazyKids · 19/08/2013 23:58

I've wrote this message 3 times but won't post for some reason, anyway, we're trying for number 3. Ds1 is 4.5 and ds2 is 3.5. We decided on a whim last week and started straight away do hopefully didn't miss it.

We didn't plan the boys Blush so don't know much regarding ovulation etc. if I have sore boobs and one sided hip pain, does that mean I'm ovulating or about to ovulate??? Af due the 1st of September x

Handsfullandlovingit · 19/08/2013 23:11

Hi nutters! Like ELR, now on 2ww for fifth month. This month was amazing though, we monitored the cycle and since we were on hols, frankly went a bit ott with the whole trying thing! Yay! Now enjoying a good bit of rest back at work

ELR · 19/08/2013 18:43

Twoboysmummy · 19/08/2013 15:19

OOOh I am so excited!

AF returned on saturday after over 2 years with no period. DS2 is 17 months old and first period since I had him. I also have ds1 who is 3 (4 in november).

We will be ttc number 3 now! Must be mad!

pommedechocolat · 19/08/2013 14:28

Mine are early spring babies, I'd like an autumn/winter one this time (we're not starting until Dec time to ttc).

1st time with dd1, 3rd time with dd2 here. I'd be hoping for quickly again! too! TTC sex is not that great imho :)
