Anyone trying for no 3?

Going to start trying for a third in August, I already have a dd10 and a ds7. I don't mind a boy or a girl but if I could choose I would choose a girl as still have all dd gorgeous little dresses and cardigans don't know what happened to ds clothes!
Anyone else mad enough to try for a third??

I'm currently on CD29, which is slightly odd as my previous four cycles have been 27-28 days but I do think that I OVed slightly late this month so that would make sense. Fertility Friend reckons AF should arrive tomorrow. If nothing by Tues I'll buy some different tests. I have the ebay cheapies atm because I believe they're the most sensitive plus I can test like a lunatic without feeling too bad about it.

pommedechocolat · 01/09/2013 09:41

I am bored! I want to be trying already! I want no 3 to pop out nearer xmas 2014 though so have to be patient!

Excited for the success rate on this thread though!

TwoCrazyKids · 01/09/2013 09:41

threegomad can you get a different brand?? When is af due?

ThreeGoMad · 31/08/2013 23:54

Tested again this morning and still got vvvvvvv faint glimmer that is only viewable if you put on special magic classes first. So therefore can't have seen a line two days ago as it would be a lot darker if my hcg levels had doubled twice since then!

Told myself I wouldn't test now for a couple of days but my resolve is already crumbling ...

How's everyone else getting on?

TwoCrazyKids · 30/08/2013 20:53

Congrats debv!!!!

Gonemad, have you any update on line???

ThreeGoMad · 30/08/2013 20:29

Huge congrats Debsv, that's amazing news! Won't mention my cousin had twins when she got pg first month off the pill Wink

Tested again this morning twice and there's a ghost of a shadow of a line if you're prepared to stand there for a bit turning it different ways ... In my heart I know it's a BFN really, this is just the ttc equivalent of buying a lottery ticket and not checking the result, so you can continue to dream ...

basilafawlty · 30/08/2013 18:32

Wow, I can't believe how quickly and easily people on this thread seem to be getting BFPs!

Congratulations Debsv and hubby!! That's brilliant!

I have my fingers crossed for you, threegomad.

I'm out this month as AF is here, and probably out next month as dh is going to be away for a few days on what will be my most fertile days (still a faint chance of conceiving either side of when he goes away but not too likely). Have hopes pinned on October now...

Debsv · 30/08/2013 18:25

OMG just got a BFP! In total shock!
My husband is grinning from ear to ear and saying he has super sperm! Lol! First month off the pill, I cannot believe it! Off out tonight so looks like I will be drinking lemonade!

TwoCrazyKids · 29/08/2013 16:28

Threegomad, fingers crossed its a line!!!!! Hold you pee for a few hours and try again :)

ThreeGoMad · 29/08/2013 15:03

My pg tests have arrived so have just done a random test even though it's the middle of the afternoon pee and I think I'm only 8DPO (could be 11DPO if I oved on CD14 but if I did then I'm definitely not pg as we shagged late this month Grin).

Having declared my allegiance to the line is a line club though, I'm now rescinding my membership Grin There is the very merest hint of a whisper of a possibility of a line - one of those ones where you have to look so hard your eyes hurt and turn it backwards and forwards Grin I think it might just be the dye catching where the line would appear if it was a BFP though. Still excited for the morning Wink

(First couple of months are exciting, think this will get old very quickly!)

TwoCrazyKids · 29/08/2013 15:03

Thank you, baby dust all round!!

2lilgirls · 29/08/2013 14:07

That would be a bit of a shock alright!

Congrats, blow some baby dust my way please Smile

TwoCrazyKids · 29/08/2013 13:45

I know it's very daunting! We were very lucky and got it first try. No tips at all, I just went for it when I thought I was ovulating!

2lilgirls · 29/08/2013 13:01

I think I'll be the same two...

I remember being sooo excited but so nervous and worried about coping when I got my bfp on no2 who was very much planned!
It might take a little while to get used to, it's normal to be a little apprehensive.

How long were you ttc? Any tips for us?

TwoCrazyKids · 29/08/2013 12:47

Thanks guys. It's all still sinking in, one minute I'm excited, next I'm worrying how the hell I'll cope!

Who's next to test??!!

2lilgirls · 29/08/2013 12:05

welcome MrsWelly - happy shagging Grin

The first month or 2 is so exciting!

Congratulations twoCrazyKids. Congrats to other bfp's if there are any, unfortunately my 2 yo will not allow me to read the thread as she is literally pulling my leg!!! The irony that I'm about to complain about wanting no3...

Basically, I sometimes have irregular cycles. Sometimes I'll ovulate on cd13 and sometimes it could be cd23. I did go to GP before and all was normal, she said sometimes it just happens and all is well. Anyway, this would be out 3rd month ttc no3 but first month using opk's and tracking ovulation etc. I ordered my opk's on cd10 stupidly thinking they'd arrive within a day or 2 - they didn't! I'm cd15 today (I think) and they arrived this morning. I tested and the opk's is negative. A strong enough second line did appear but not for 3 mins or so. I know that in the past a pos opk's would be positive within seconds. So now I don't know if I've already ovulated or not. My boobs were a bit sore a few days ago which can happen around ovulation and we did do the deed so ermine around then.
I don't think I'll keep testing anyway, I think I'll keep the opk's for next month if Af arrives.
I know I sound batty but I was adamant on tracking and timing this month, now I don't even know when stupid AF is due.

Sorry for long and selfish post :-( o

ThreeGoMad · 28/08/2013 23:49

Yay, two, told you a line is a line Wink and congrats mad as well Grin

Sorry to hear about the spotting basila, that sucks.

DH and I always planned three, then after DC2 was born he started saying we should just stick to two. I was a bit gutted but just bided my time because I thought it was probably sleep deprivation etc talking and I haven't even had to have The Talk or anything, we just seem to have gone back to the plan :) Fingers crossed my elderly ovaries are also on board!

Have had a rubbish day so going to indulge myself with a bit of symptom spotting: bit snotty, boobs feel a bit fuller maybe, leg is killing me (I have a bad hip and relaxin made it hellish in my first pregnancy - bit early for relaxin I suspect, but humour me Wink). PG tests in the post!

Debsv · 28/08/2013 20:01

My other half was dead against having another but when our dd1 turned 11 he decided we should try for a third. He missed out a lot on first two as travelled a lot with work but now has an office job so would be more involved (or so he says! Lol) did a test today and bfn but think I ovulate late as fell once before on day 20 of cycle so maybe just need to wait and see!

TwoCrazyKids · 28/08/2013 19:54

My other half Is delighted. It makes a change as our last two dc were unplanned!

I'm a bit nervous as had a miscarriage 2 years ago. It feels different this time though, no spotting and much stronger symptoms..

basilafawlty · 28/08/2013 18:25

*have to have another

basilafawlty · 28/08/2013 18:24

Aww, that's brilliant, two!

My hubby did a real volte face on it. A year or two ago he was adamant no more, no way, no chance. A couple of months ago he changed his mind and started reminiscing about how sexy I look when I'm pregnant (he's an absolute sweetheart is my dh). I think what really did it though was seeing dd1 turn 10. I think it brought it home to him that if we wanted children in the house we'd have to another because our two won't stay children for many more years.

Madasabox · 28/08/2013 17:49

Thanks everyone - congrats two. How does everyone's other halves feel about it all? Not sure my DH is too keen, he isn't saying much!

ELR · 28/08/2013 16:37

Ooh conrats!!! two now you can not help but believe it!
