When you due Hopecat?

Hopecat · 22/06/2006 10:00

Hi everyone - CD22 today - just popping in to say hello. Am trying not to come on too often, as I'm trying not to think about impending AF/test date.

Hope you're all well and happy.

Jenswish · 22/06/2006 09:22

Wright,

Just wanted to say my 1st cycle was 35, second 44, third 29 so it could well be your pill.

Natty1806 · 22/06/2006 07:33

Wright

When i came off the pill the first one was 35 days and the second 46, do you feel pregnant?

It might just be the pill coming out of your system, some people get back to normal straight away whereas i have taken 11 months and fingers crossed will become more regular now.

coggy · 21/06/2006 23:53

Where's Trace?

coggy · 21/06/2006 23:53

RuthLouise - I understand that some people can ov as early as CD5 or 6. Some poeople have EWCM mixed in with end of AF blood and don't always realise.

I don't know if each person's luteal phase is fixed but it certainly isn't a fixed period generally (if that makes sense) eg. most gps will tell you that a LP is always 14 days - RUBBISH!!! Mine is about 8 or 9!!
HTH!

wright4845 · 21/06/2006 21:51

Oops will start again
came off pill in April and my first non pill induced cycle was 33 days. This is my AF second but hasn't arrived yet

wright4845 · 21/06/2006 21:49

came off pill in April and my first on pill induced cycle was 33 days.

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 21:00

Are you normally regular wright? How many days over due are you?

wright4845 · 21/06/2006 20:27

Hi Bobblehead!

i'm in same situation as you on CD 34 now and no AF very strange. Got cramping but no bleed. Never had this before in my life! had BFN on Monday but gonna test again on Friday am (cd36)to check as am going to wedding that day and wanna know if i can get bladdered or not. If its BFN i'll know for certai AF is being a pain. Wish AF would come. Gives false hope.

bobblehead · 21/06/2006 16:35

I just read somewhere that sex 2-3 days before ov gave 33% chance of pregnancy, while sex the day before and day of ov gave only 5% chance! is this right? I always thought if you couldn't mamage every 2nd day then ov day was your best bet!

bobblehead · 21/06/2006 16:09

Decaf I can sympathise a lot, I'm on cd36 and just got bfn too though I did expect that. I have no idea how long this cycle will be but its so frustrating waiting for af before you can even plan when things might begin to happen!!! ARRRGHHH!!!!

Sexonlegs · 21/06/2006 15:35

Can I ask a naive question please.
How do you know if you have had a missed miscarriage?
I have heard this mentioned on mn before but wondered what the symptoms were.

Beccy1974 · 21/06/2006 12:30

day 20 or 21 for me too and desperately trying not to go buy a test, regardless of whether too early to try. won't even go there about symptoms of pregnancy / pmt lol

how bloody frustrating.

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 11:43

even if they are not what you want to hear.

Sorry should save posting to after work really .

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 11:42

I know it is so hard to not test. x

Even if they say everything is fine, it is a good idea to see them and make you feel less stressed. Answers are always better if they are not what you want to hear.

Let me know how you get on. x

decafgirl · 21/06/2006 11:17

Thanks Natty, I think I'll give them a ring - I couldn't resist and did a test this morning and got a BFN I came off the pill in october so maybe it's time to get things checked.

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 10:08

Hi Hopecat

managed to stay away long didn't i!

am only on CD7 today so going to start bding tonight, then going to do it at least every other day in the hope that it might work this month.

Hopecat · 21/06/2006 09:29

Morning.

CD21 today. Got to be careful now as I have 3 days in a row with no structured working time. Plenty to do but no-one to make me do it.

This is traditionally when I switch straight into symptom-obsessing mode. Already caught myself searching for symptoms in bed this morning.

Must distract myself.

Natty1806 · 21/06/2006 08:16

Thanks for the link Hopecat, will read it later and trying to have a day off from MN today as i seem to log on every hour.

Anyway thanks again.x

ruthlouise · 21/06/2006 07:18

Thanks Hopecat. Yes, I'd read that the luteal phase is fixed. There's so much stuff on the internet that it can be difficult to know what to believe isn't it. The month before I OV'd on the 3rd May, spotted on 11th and had AF on 14th so convinced myself I had a luteal phase defect! not sure how long that cycle was as it was first AF after late m/c.

Have a good day everyone. Where's the sunshine? I'm off to work...

Hopecat · 20/06/2006 23:14

Hi ruthlouise.

As far as I know (which isn't that far) you can OV between 10 and 18 days before AF is due. I know you read a lot that the luteal phase is fixed, but I don'd think that's strictly true.

HTH

ruthlouise · 20/06/2006 22:36

Hi again, Can I ask a question please? Well I'll ask it anyway Wink...

Does anyone know, Whats the earliest someone can OV after AF? sorry if TMI coming up but I'm on CD12 and had EWCM on day 10 but then it vanished. Last month I was using OV sticks from day 11 and didn't get a +ve so wonder whether I might OV earlier in the month than I thought or maybe I didn't OV? Last cycle was only 25 days

cheesecakelover · 20/06/2006 22:14

Hi all. Just finished watching the footie, had me on the edge of my seat!!
SOL, yeah, I suppose I do feel like it's a bit of a challenge, and as challenges are made to be completed, I will complete this one! We have only been trying for 3 months, but it seems like forever, maybe this is because when we were trying for ds I came off the pill and 5 wks later was 5 wks pregnant! Smile
I wasn't sure at first whether to try for another because I felt like I would be pushing ds out, so we put off ttc for a while, but now I am sure he would like a sibling as he is nearly 2 and when you ask him if thats what he would like, he replies 'yes' (poor kid, so naive).
I did read somewhere that if you have had a caesarean then it can take up to 5 months longer tc, does anybody know if this is correct?

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2006 20:55

Just having a break from the footie. I have to say I am not normally interested, but it has been pretty good - do you think this is a sympton of pg??? Ha Ha Ha. Hopecat, keeping my fingers crossed for you pet.
I want to be pg so I no longer have to put up with bloody awful period pain. Obviously this is not the only reason by any means, but I am in agony this month and want it to STOP!
Must run.
