Yes, dtd 1 to 3 days before ov will give you the best chance, Writer. DP and I dtd every other day until fixed smiley and then try 2 or 3 days in a row.

Mee too! I got a fixed smiley on Tuesday and ewcm on the same day. From entering it all onto ovufriend (plus bbt) it said that I ovulated on Tuesday, but I reckon it was prob a day or so later so am prob about 4 or 5 dpo. Not sure exactly when AF due - will have to check. I am 37 and this is our 4th month ttc DC2. Smile

Well my little knowledge of this ttc lark (dd was a pill baby!) is sperm can survive around 72 hours before ovulation so best to dtd every other day before ovulation so they are "waiting" as the egg only lasts 12-24 hours Smile

So do you start DTD at this point or do you have to wait until ovulation actually occurs??

How long can sperm actually survive for up there for anyway???

It is my first time TTC since removal of my Mirena coil Grin

I have a 'pretty much in the dark' buddy now. Yay Grin

I haven't gone down the OPK route.....I'm scared I will get addicted [ smile]

I'm pretty in the dark too tbh it's my first cycle off the pill but had a positive opk on friday cd12 so I presume I ovulated yesterday!

I think I have recently ovulated (not 100% sure about how EWCM) works though if I'm honest. Smile

Either way, my AF is due in 14 days so I guess I can join you Smile
