Hi everyone! Still full up from my delicious breakfast which makes a change as since coming off the pill I've not stopped eating! Had a terrible sharp pain low down below my belly button earlier so much it stopped me in my tracks, not sure if its anything significant but thought I'd share! I've absolutely no idea how many dpo I am, could be 6 if I count it from my first Ewcm but really not sure! Nearly time for the long weekend :) :)

layla1976 · 23/08/2013 15:49

hi everyone!! hi VJones.....still stressing?? i hope not..its stressful this ttc business though eh! i'm 7 days past ov .. i have cramps but think its my urine infection (UTI) and that's about i,. as i generally feel really odd down there..it feels like its on fire and constantly bloated and full with crampy pain , plus i'm constipated as hell (TMI-SORRY LADIES) ..the doc gave me pills for my UTI that you should NEVER take when ttc or pregnant, my GP knows what i'm going through as she was referring me for tests the same day...didnt know until i took them but apparently they can do harm so i'm def out this month!!!!...didnt think to check as assumed she'd give me something thats ok if you're TTC. bloody stupid doc.Angry.anyway, had my progesterone day 21 tests today ...find out next week if i'm abnormal or not!!!!...i'm worried....i know in my heart of hearts theres a problem... i'm scared stiff.....anyway my af is due in 7 -8 days ... so who will be testing first ??? ...i'm not bothering this month as i know i'm out..... i do hope at least one of us has some luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! baby dust to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

VJONES1985 · 23/08/2013 10:34

Thanks for the slap round the face, guys Blush

Had a dream last night that I did a hpt and it was positive. It also told me that we were having a boy! Did some symptom spotting last night too - felt sick, hot and 'fluttery' down there!

wispaxmas · 23/08/2013 09:54

These last few days coming on mumsnet I've started having pregnancy dreams!! It's like how I was in the days before my wedding, but now it's the days before I'm expecting AF. Hopefully I'm able to switch off if it didn't happen this month and only switch back on with a couple days to go next month, I don't think I could be this obsessed with eggs and sperm and dpo and everything all the time.

ELR · 23/08/2013 08:56

wispa I think you are right imagine the stress it must cause for a man but they can't really talk about it to anyone.
Im trying for no3 with a big age gap so i didnt really use the internet much 8 years ago and just got on with dtd whenever. But now you can google eveything and it turns us into nutters! I think having the Internet is good but it can give people way too much information which just makes us all paranoid me included!

wispaxmas · 23/08/2013 08:14

MrsB, I'm with you on the opks. If everyone says it can take up to a year for healthy couples in their 20s/early 30s, then I'm not going to worry about forcing anything before then, and I really don't want to get into the habit of thinking sex = only for babies, only at the right time.

I think my husband is unfortunately starting to worry about his little guys, though, even though it's only been 3 months.

Nulanoo · 23/08/2013 00:15

I agree it's not worth stressing every woman is different so it's not good comparing yourself to others. You sound as though you have a nice few days planned though :) we are having a whole date day tomorrow starting with breakfast out at a yummy deli! X

Tea1Sugar · 22/08/2013 23:45

Vjones you really do need to relax more about it hun. It's the first month. If you're not pregnant, so what? You're so early into ttc. I worry that stressing and symptom spotting this early could be detrimental, if, like many many couples, it takes a while. Plan to do lots over the next couple of weeks to keep yourself busy. There is very little point trying to poas until at least 12 dpo as implantation can take up to 12 days anyway. Just chill Smile

Haha VJones...I'm only hoping if I type it enough times I have to stick with the plan...already starting to hover in the pg test aisle every time I go to Boots...Hmm

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:44

I so wish I could be like you, Refoca!

Refoca · 22/08/2013 22:43

Good evening all! Not a lot to report over here, I've forgotten when last AF was but it feels like about as far as I get from one so if I was a betting lady I'd say I'll be spotting tomorrow and in full flow by Sunday or Monday. Unless...

Well anyway, I should rename it the 4ww as I'm testing super late as I love the suspense! Plus, I'd rather think I had a late AF than know there was a chemical pg if it's not a keeper. No earlier than 14th Sept over here.

I do kinda love the opposite approach too though - the suspense 2 or 3 times a day, lol! Hope it's as lucky for everyone else as Writer found it.

MrsB2013 · 22/08/2013 22:38

Excellent advice Writer

Im trying not to worry about it all too much, I think every woman thinks there may be something wrong after being on the pill for so long. Im not getting into these opks yet, will give it till Christmas and if no bfp then might start using them

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:31

Thanks writer.

Writerwannabe83 · 22/08/2013 22:24

Every woman probably worries about that, it is just important that you keep it in perspective. Apparently it takes most couples up to a year to conceive and that time span can be longer for people who have been on the contraceptive pill for a prolonged time. A woman I work with has got one daughter and is due to give birth to her 2nd in about 5 weeks - she was on the Pill prior to trying to conceive and it took her 9 months to get pregnant the first time and 7 months the 2nd time. But, on the other hand there are women who come off the Pill and get pregnant straight away. Life and conception is unpredictable.

Just try not to put too much pressure on yourself and if you don't get pregnant on Cycle 1 then please don't searching for problems and reasons as it will only drive you mad. Enjoy TTC, it is an exciting time, but don't let it take over your life x x

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:18

I know you're right... I just worry so much that this isn't going to happen for us or that there's something wrong with me. I don't know why, I'm just a pessimistic person!

Writerwannabe83 · 22/08/2013 22:16

If ovulationhasn't happened, then it hasn't happened and fretting and worrying won't change that. There is no reason to think you won't have ovulated so just relax Smile

Take some deep breaths VJones - you are going to drive yourself into having a complete meltdown at this rate Smile

Just accept that what will be, will be and all you can do is POAS and hope for the best Grin

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:16

Good idea. There's a little gang of us ready to test next week by the look of things!

GnomieGrace · 22/08/2013 22:13

VJones I ov'd on CD 12 and my luteal phase is always a couple of days longer so that makes it due 2nd but I'm hoping to test 29th which will be 12DPO so should give a solid result! Next cycle I might go down the 20 tests for £3.50 route I'll see how my nerves hold out next week!

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:11

But what if ovulation hasn't actually happened?! Seriously when I want something to happen, I go for it. I'm a bit scary actually.

ThreeFromDesire · 22/08/2013 22:10

Grin too late!

Writerwannabe83 · 22/08/2013 22:09

VJones - the minute sex starts being forced, STOP! You don't want your husband getting fed up or feeling 'used' on your first month of trying, it will only make things harder in the long run. Me and hubby only DTD on 2 occasions in the lead up to ovulation and then again on the actual day of ovulation.

Let your hubby have a rest Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 22/08/2013 22:06

three - I don't want to be responsible for mass testing and hysteria on the August Bus Grin

VJONES1985 · 22/08/2013 22:05

Thank you! Will check those out tomorrow as well. Getting excited now! And still forcing dh to dtd every two days "just in case".

Writerwannabe83 · 22/08/2013 22:04

I don't know how to make it into an actual link so just copy and paste it into your toolbar Smile
