ELR I hope you get your BFP when you test again...sounds like a Saturday test could work well, so you know AF is late by then?

Layla fingers crossed pains are nothing serious, and hope you're wrong about AF looming too.

I went shopping today and cannot believe the price of some of the pregnancy tests!! Surely they were cheaper 5 years ago?!?

Anyway, DH persuaded me to stay firm and not test until 14th at earliest as planned...it's 3 weeks away still, feels so long! Can't quite work out if I'm late already or not, will be by then I guess, lol.

Argh! Wish I'd just bought one, getting impatient now! Haha.

I'm not proud of how desperate I was, I easily got through about 25 HPT until I got my BFP. And then, when I got my BFP I took about another 5 'just to make sure' I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant and even thought know I'm pregnant I have still taken a few tests here and there over the last 4 weeks, just for reassurance . I just love seeing that line!!

I'm glad I gave hope but don't turn insane like me, haha

Just done another test and negative! Thinking how nuts I was and then just read your post writer feeling so much better even if I don't get a positive at least I'm not the only obsessed Poas person in the world!!

ELR - I was testing for the entire week before my period was due, sometimes even twice or three times a day! I was obsessed! I was getting negative after negative after negative

When I eventually got my BFP it was either my 2nd or 3rd test of the day. The 1st test of the day which I had taken with FMU upon waking had come back as a BFN. My eventual BFP came at about 4pm

GnomieGrace I am sorry to hear AFs arrived. On the plus side you can get your cocoa fix

Meant to add - my boobs were ridiculously sore when I was first pg with DS and hadn't yet had my BFP, my nips were so sensitive that I couldn't even shower facing the water! Boobs make great baby weathervanes IMO.

Layla - a girl would be nice, but a little brother for DS would be equally good! We will find out, I'm not good with surprises, and would rather know and get it sorted in my head. :)

ELR - don't write yourself off just yet, it's a bit early to say, and we all have differing levels of HcG anyway!

Thanks guys I know you may be right, in some ways the bfn made me feel better as I was totally stressing about it, now if it does end in a positive it's a totally unexpected bonus!
With my dd my boobs killed but I was not sure what to expect as it was a first pregnancy and didn't test until I was about 8 days late and with ds I just new I was pregnant and tested on day af was due and got the BFP. I kind of feel like that now all the same symptoms ect so feel a bit daft thinking I was pregnant when I'm not!! But like you say it may still happen.
writer did you get negatives before you had the positive then?

Just echoing what vjones said, I didn't get my BFP until the morning of the day my period was due. For about 2 days prior to my BFP I had noticed a few changes in my breasts which is one of the signs that made me think I was pregnant. It is too early yet, give it a few more days x

ELR It's much too early to poas yet. Yes, it's possible to get a bfp four days before af is due but it's far more reliable to wait until it's due/late so it's not over yet!

Hi ladies, well think I'm out too for this month! Couldn't help it and did a test lastnight and was bfn, my boobs are absolute agony and much bigger than usual bras are all tight! I had convinced myself I was def pregnant. I'm not due on until thurs/fri so might be a slim chance it was a false negative but prob not at least I am feeling much less obsessed with a BFP now! Layla yeah, just realised how silly it is for me to compare myself to others. Having different symptoms or no symptoms at all does not mean I'm not pregnant or I have something wrong with me - everybody's different so the best thing to do is just stop symptom spotting and wait until af due day to either test or realise I'm out for this month.

Hi Layla. I agree this is LongTailedTit's month which is fantastic but our turn and everyone else who is TTC's turn will come. It's ignorant to our future bungles of joy to think that it wont.
Going to D.T.D for a few hours later (he's coming over at around 4ish). My D.D is staying out and we've both got a few spare hours so it would be a shame to waste them. xx

Gnomiegrace i didn't see you're post til a mo ago... just think you're new cycle has started and you'll be trying again in a few days and new month, fresh start and better odds i'd say....GOODLUCK....... xxxxxx... VJONES1985... you are definitely sounding more chilled out.... best way to be... try to stay like that as stress has a really detrimental affect on us when TTC....
also ...still best of luck to everyone else on this thread TTC..... baby dust to each and everyone of you.... maybe this month is longtailedtits turn and hopefully a few others , however if not no doubt we'll all be on another thread for next month and even if just one of us at a time make it we'll all get there in the end... we gotta stay positive eh....

LBMARIE77..... sorry to hear that hun... if it make you feel better my AF i jut around the corner and i'm out too.... infact think something bad is wrong as yesterday nearly went to A+E as had worst pain ever in pelvic region, this has been going on for a while but pain never this bad, random time too during monthly cycles over last 6 months or so, i've been trying to ignore it and put my head in the sand ,so not ovulation pain or menstrual pain...maybe endometriosis or PCOS ...which equals FERTILITY PROBLEMS.... explian why i'm still not pregnant after 3 years... got regnant easily in my teens and twenties!!!!!....5 times which i lost , but till now i'm in my 30' and late 30's i'm screwed!!!!....feel like giving up!!!!......

Yeah, it's all so different and frustrating but it's so important to not stress out too much when ttc. Having said that, I have 8 days till af/bfp and I can't handle it...

Everyone really is different in their cycles it seems, doesn't it. I thought I had AF start this morn as tiny teeny amount of spotting on tissue so huffed around but since then nothing. Due AF today, usually bang on 28 days so lets see by tonight. Head ! x

Yeah, overnight I've vowed to stop comparing other women's experiences with my own because it was driving me mad. Everyone's symptoms and cycles are different so I need to stop stressing about it :)

Yeah I'm not too worried about it all as first cycle and it could all be a bit out of sync at the mo!!
