sorry \link{http://www.fpa.org.uk/guide/emergncy/index.htm\here}

LIZS · 05/06/2006 16:40

Are you sure it's too late ? What about having a coil fitted as think you have up to 5 days \link{http://www.fpa.org.uk/guide/emergncy/index.htm, according to here} and 3 days (72 hours) for MAP.

PiccadillyCircus · 05/06/2006 16:17

I had sex on day 8 of my cycle and DD is now 8 months old.

petrified · 05/06/2006 16:14

Too late for the morning after pill :(.

I really do think I have ovulated this weekend and just feel so scared.

bourneville · 03/06/2006 08:00

That's weird, my doc said i had conceived earliest possible date and that was day 5 after my period - and that was even taking into account the fact that sperm can live for 5 days (she said 5 not 7) .

will never believe them again then! Grin

LadyTophamHatt · 03/06/2006 07:50

Well, I'm PG now because we had nookie 2 days after the end of my period.

I thought I ovulated at around day 12-16(my ds'3 were concieved between these day) but it started getting a bit earlier to around day 10-11 I fell PG this time on about day 8 or 9.

I will NEVER have unprotcted sex again....EVER!!!

rickman · 03/06/2006 00:25

I have always ovulated at around day 9 of my cycle, as my period lasts a full week, and I have 4 children, I'd say yes you can get pg just after your period ends.

SparklyGothKat · 03/06/2006 00:25

we have even discussed DH have the 'snip' but atm he is too young..

Twiglett · 03/06/2006 00:19

eeeek ... that's not conclusive .. be careful .. be verrry verrrry careful

SparklyGothKat · 03/06/2006 00:19

I get pains when I OV, so I know when its happening.

Twiglett · 03/06/2006 00:17

not saying you don't you may well be Ms Average Grin

Twiglett · 03/06/2006 00:17

do you chart then or use OPKs .. because I had regular periods too ... and certainly didn't ov day 14

SparklyGothKat · 03/06/2006 00:15

I do twig! I have very regular periods and I know when I am OV. lol Grin

SparklyGothKat · 03/06/2006 00:14

I took it twice as a teenager, and once last year Blush my GP never said that I couldn't have it. Have just googled how long sperm lives for, its 3-5 days.
(just don't tell my DH its not 7 days, or he will try it on every time after my period lol)

Twiglett · 03/06/2006 00:13

um you don't ovulate day 14 of your cycle .. that's a statistical average .. you might ovulate day 6 or day 24 (someone on TTC board just posted that she got pregnant day 6) .. it doesn't matter how long your 'bleed' lasts you just count from first day

get the MAP from chemist

SecurMummy · 03/06/2006 00:10

Am not sure - which is worse, a slightly increased risk of this or being pg?

I don't know but I know where my money would go....

Actually think you are supposed to be "allowed" it 3 times.

Ledodgyherring · 03/06/2006 00:08

Not after 2 goes I wouldn't have thought?

SparklyGothKat · 03/06/2006 00:08

go to the GP tomorrow or tescos or boots and get the MAP. Tescos and botts charge for it (about £25 I believe) but you can get it from the GP.

havetochangename · 03/06/2006 00:07

Doesn't the MAP increase your chances of cervical cancer? I had it once in my teens.
