Brooking for Maybes transfer! You will soon be PUPO Smile

GenericDietCola · 08/07/2013 06:53

Brooking for you today, Maybe.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/07/2013 06:50

Good luck for today maybe I'm brooking there's a perfect little embryo waiting to be transferred. How's the crinone? Don't be surprised if they say they need to give you a little clean up inside before they do the transfer Shock

geek that was a lot to take in. We haven't discussed donor anything yet. Am I right in thinking you didn't DR at all this time, I really hope you end up being as symptom-free during DRing as I was.

A brooking meet-up would be lovely, but I think you all live too far away from my parents house, and we'll only be there a week. Plus it would be rather hard to explain to Mrb as he still knows nothing about you all :o

penguin :o at the stealth caravan sex though I'm not sure how stealthy you can be in a caravan. I suggest sending the parents out for an afternoon walk with DS whilst you prepare dinner or something.

keepitgoing · 08/07/2013 03:49

Wow geek that is a lot to take in. I think it makes sense to have a bit of a break between cycles - it is so all-consuming and especially with all the job worries as well. We are all here brooking for you.

penguin you will just have to be a stealth shagger. Maybe when the others have gone out for a bit. Or you go out and dtd al fresco!!

er kitty there's nowt wrong with Thailand thank you very much

helsim i don't think that's true at all that everyone knows when they're preggers. Think of all the ladies who go for a poo and out comes a full term baby!! I don't think it's too early for you to POAS, but understand not wanting to get a negative test.

maybe good luck for the ET today. I cried at mine and so did DH. I hope all the little embies have got on nicely, and there'll be a few for the freezer as well.

and cups - not long left till you start aproper. How are you doing?

Helsim · 07/07/2013 23:09

My AF took 6 weeks to arrive after Mirena was removed so I'm thinking ill give it 6 weeks n see if she arrives!! Lol fingers crossed my symptoms r for the reason I want not for anything else?! Thanks all for ur input ill keep u posted x

ThedementedPenguin · 07/07/2013 22:51

Helsim I know what you mean. Although I haven't gone as long as you, I was only on pill from last October until June. However I only had one AF in December, a few irregular bleeding but not an AF. So I'm only guessing at when my AF is due. I'm trying to get Dp to DtD every other day/ every third day. Although I doubt it will happen, seem to be in a rut where we can't be bothered :(

In a way another pregnancy and baby will make us worse but I'm hoping once they a bit older we can get back on track :) get all baby stuff out of the way. Although I'm not sure it will get any easier.

Do you have an idea of how long you'll wait until you test helsim?

Helsim · 07/07/2013 22:32

Blindkitty I think it's too early n my period is due but being only the 2nd period I've had in 2 years (periods stopped when i had mirena) I'm not sure when it wud come? I think ill wait a couple of weeks and see if it arrives! I'm trying so hard not to get too excited if I'm honest and I'd rather be certain than get a negative result! Fingers crossed x

BlindKitty · 07/07/2013 21:49

helsim have you not been tempted to poas yet?

OP posts:
ThedementedPenguin · 07/07/2013 21:38

Helsim only true way to know is to POAS. Good luck

So bullets when can we come to visit? You'll mind ds that's very nice of you Grin

I feel like I need to force Dp into DtD although he is totally up for baby number 2. He is a strange creature. More interested in the Xbox tonight.

BlindKitty · 07/07/2013 21:24

Bullets Damn, really need to stop going to Thailand then Grin

penguin thanks Grin

Wonder where maybe is tonight? Guessing she's getting things ready for her new embie to move in tomorrow?!?!

Ok so I'm a newbie and have been checking mums net for various answers for a while through google so decided I would join! I have a burning question for u?! :-) So here goes ( might b a long one!) I had my Mirena coil removed mid April had my 1st bleed which was really really heavy and lasted 7 days around 6th June. I did at pregnancy test at the doctors on 5th June ( was poorly n prescribed anti biotics so they checked I wasn't pregnant before prescribing and wanted to check abdominal pain wasn't ectopic pregnancy!)
Since then I've had nausea ( no sickness) almost daily, I've been having period type pains ( but not as severe as previously) and now my feet and ankles are swollen. My period is due any time but no sign n don't feel like its coming either?! Im also eating like a horse!! Could I be in the very early stages of pregnancy?! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but all my symptoms seem to indicate I could be?! What do u think?! ;-) everyone says u just know when u r pregnant but being my 1st ever attempt at actually trying for a baby I'm not quite sure how I would know?! x

RubberBullets · 07/07/2013 21:08

Cornwall is considered a rather fertile place so worth considering and I live here I have had 2 instadiffs making me the black sheep of the brookers and 3 brookers have had bfps and holidays down here.

ThedementedPenguin · 07/07/2013 19:53

Boo I live in N.I. We are def not going to Cornwall.

To be honest, I'm used to stealth sex in a caravan with my Dps parents. However that was pre-DS. So I'm not really sure how its gonna work as I might have to have ds in with us. Think we might have to stay on for a few days just to make up for it. :)

Happy anniversary kitty

BlindKitty · 07/07/2013 19:11

boo that has actually made me smile Smile. Don't get too pink!

Feeling sorry for penguin's parents already ..'don't come a knocking when this caravans rocking' haha

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 07/07/2013 16:59

Kitty have you not called the clinic to update you're records yet? You need to tell them you're a brooker now and this sort of shoddy service will not be tolerated by any of us!!

Penguin you must have stealth sex in the caravan, tis the rules! Where are you going Wink

Maybe brooking like bilio for et tomorrow :) and plenty of frosties too.

Right, back into the sunshine for me, hope you've all had a good weekend!

BlindKitty · 07/07/2013 14:30

boo absolutely nothing in my baby making world! 'Still' waiting for iui that probably won't work!

geek I know we all mostly slag off our fc's but at the end of the day they do usually know best. Interesting that some testosterone might improve your dh's swimmers. Is it the actual count they're trying to improve?

cups sorry the down regging is rubbish. Remind me why you have to do that again? It that what they mean by long protocol?

maybe you excited for tomorrow? If not, I think I'm excited enough for you Grin

penguin I'm imagining your mum walking in post colitis with your legs up against the wall!!! Haha

Oh and it's our wedding anniversary today! Although did only remember when dh's phone reminder went off (such a bad wife!)

OP posts:
NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 07/07/2013 09:22

Penguin hope you get some rest and manage to dtd in the caravan. It's rubbish when shag week coincides with family being around. Some stealth shagging is in order!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 07/07/2013 09:21

Geek wow that is so much to take in. Sorry to hear the consultant wasn't more supportive about the immunes and concerns over your eggs. I completely understand your concerns due to your history, but there is also the chance that your eggs are ok so fingers crossed he's right there. It seems like he is just focused on MrG at the minute. Do you think you might still go ahead with the immune testing? 2 months is such a long time to DR, at least you will feel like you are doing something in that two months. Have you and MrG talked about donor sperm yet? Reading your post this morning made me realise that we have discussed DE but not DS god knows why. Sending you and MrG lots of love and brooking.
Have you got anything nice coming up in the next month?

ThedementedPenguin · 06/07/2013 22:33

Sorry I haven't been on much. I've been reading all posts as they come up but just wasn't in the mood for replying until now. To be honest I've forgotten most of the things I've read. I'm exhausted between the heat and my ds. Just wish he would sleep through.

It won't be long until Monday maybe

I have an app on my phone it's a AF tracker. It gives a rough idea of when your fertile and when AF is due. Not sure how accurate it is but it says ill be fertile from 13-18. I'm spending from 14-17th with my family in a caravan. Seems everything is against me this month. I shall still be trying to TTC. Iykwim.

Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the weather.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/07/2013 22:28

That makes total sense Geek. I think you should take all the time you need. There are just so many whats, ifs and buts aren't there. So many things to worry about. The whole thing is exhausting!!

As soon as you are ready though, we will all be here x

ControlGeek · 06/07/2013 20:53

Overwhelming is definitely the word for it maybe. My cons was quite happy for me to start down regging at the beginning of my next cycle, so there would only have been a one cycle break but that may be because I will be down regging for the equivalent of two natural cycles so I won't be stimming until three months after my last IVF if that makes sense. I still feel like I have some coming-to-terms to do with regard to my last cycle so I am glad of the longer break.

Glad you were able to get a couple of updates on your embies, I'd have been going spare not knowing how things were going!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/07/2013 20:29

Wow Geek that all sounds so overwhelming. How are you feeling about things? Or hasn't it sunk in? Does your clinic not recommend a gap between cycles? I thought it was best to leave a few months so to get egg quality back up again. I hope you and MrG get to talk about the donor issue. It's tough though, I really feel for you there. But good news that things are moving along well with respect o MrG's work.

And well done on the biscuit!!

I've had 2 daily updates, but she said that she would've been surprised if anything very unusual happened over the weekend. That plus the weekends aren't core operating hours for the clinic Wink

ControlGeek · 06/07/2013 20:21

Sorry boo I got a little bit freaked out at the idea of maybe wanting to eat my plan, so went into hiding Grin

Sorry that the stimming didn't agree with you too well maybe, but brooking that all that is behind you now. I can't believe you haven't had daily updates on your embies! I have everything crossed and then some for Monday for you.

cups I hope the down regging isn't too bad for you, it won't be long before you're stimming.

beedle how are you doing? When are you coming to the uk? Could we coincide a brooking meet-up?

Sorry not to namecheck more, I've been keeping my distance from the fred to try and get a bit of sanity back so I'm not completely sure what everybody else is up to. Whatever stage you are at in your cycle though, I am brooking for you all.

MrG's work issues have gone as well as could be expected, we now have three months more of worry then hopefully it will all be over (as in he still has a job).

Saw the consultant this morning. He didn't like our plan :( He doesn't understand why I think my eggs are an issue (I did try to explain) and said if anything needed to be replaced it wasn't the eggs, it was the sperm. For some reason I am really quite gutted about that. Possibly because it really does draw a line under us never being able to get pg naturally. It's actually harder for me to get my head around than egg donation. MrG and I haven't really talked about it since the appointment.

The cons wants us to go ahead with our next NHS cycle with own eggs, own sperm, as we had planned. He was very negative about the immunes testing. He really doesn't believe in it. He also poo-pood the idea that testosterone replacement therapy might help MrG's swimmers.

At first he wasn't going to change anything about our protocol, because he said I'd responded pretty well. I think, in response to my concerns about egg quality, though, he had changed his mind by the end of the appointment. He now wants to down reg me for two months to try and dry up the endometriosis. He agrees my left ovary is effectively a write-off but thinks doing this will have a positive impact on my right ovary and decrease chances of a hostile environment in my womble. Stimming will then be as normal, but I will have an increased risk of OHSS due to my PCOS.

On the plus side, he doesn't want to remove my fibroid. I gave a silent cheer at that, I would have struggled to face going through full open surgery again. I did that 13 years ago and can still remember the weeks of pain that followed.

As MrG's work issues won't be fully resolved for three months, we've agreed between ourselves not to go ahead on my next cycle as that would mean we would be IVFing just at the most worrying time for MrG's job. So we are going to let the next cycle happen naturally, then start with the down regging.

Sorry, that was an awful lot of mememe. I'll maybe just get this cycle out of the way then hopefully be back in the land of brooking full time again.

Ooh sorry, I can't remember who asked - the biscuit came joint third out of about 15. I'm rather glad not to have won, the winner has to decorate a cake to enter into the county competition!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 06/07/2013 16:54

Yo, Geek put down the WineWine come in from the sunshine and tell us about your appointment, pleeeeeeeeeease

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/07/2013 15:53

Not to put a spanner it he works but I really didn't feel better after stimming Grin

I am making him iron instead Solars Wink

Are your cycles regular Fox?
