I'm most looking forward to fresh bread, weirdly, pastries and the like. They're just not into it. Also food I can make/get here but don't want - stews, soups, pies etc., cos it's too hot. I've bout even started packing yet - that's next week's task.

My sister's just gone into labour, so I'm brooking for her.

nurse gosh that sounds tough to TTC, you are very welcome. Surely your bfp is just days away, keep testing. Fwiw I am always less hungry in the heat.

Ha, we 'get together' a variable amount, from every weekend to once mo thly - its really not ideal in so many ways, but there is light at the end of a very long tunnel. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out when was a good time for bd, but gave up when we never seemed to be together at the right time BUT we had a very good weekend a few weeks ago with lots of bd, and now that af is delayed, I wonder if I might have o'd late or something (or I might just be clutching at straws).

I haven't really had any symptoms, sore boobs, but that's not unusual, a huge appetite (not unusual either unfortunately), and a bit tired, but I had put that down to the sweltering heat. Fingers crossed, I guess. I've had a few negative hpts, but didn't test for ovulation, so who knows.

If that witch flo does rock up, I think I'll take your advice and get some ovulation tests, but hopefully no news isgood news (trying so badly to be positive!!).

Hi nurse that AF plays some evil tricks when you start watching for her!! Have you tested this month? I started using opk's first (cheap amazon ones) then when I was confidant I was ovulating started tempting and monitoring cm to make sure I smacked take rat at exactly the right time :)

So logistically speaking, how often do you and Mr nurse get jiggy together, it must be near impossible to get it to coincide with sex week.

Hey boo, we're both in the forces, and apart while I finished my nurse training (hence the name) up north. I move down south in september, and plan to take it all much more seriously from then, am gonna have to start temping and monitoring cm and all the other things I've read about, but was hoping it would happen by chance by now. Had a near miss a few months ago when I was a week late, but af rocked up on cd 39, had never been more than a day or 2 late in my life, now am even later and I'm going out of my mind.

I'm great. Although glad it's cooled down a bit.

We put the paddling pool up today but it was bloody freezing. It's a big one about 8ft. Ds loved it was splashing in it and was trying to climb in. So a very close eye will be kept on him when outside.

Ladies, can I join? Have been ttc for almost a year, but live apart from hubby so the logistics of that decrease our chances each month. Don't really have anyone to talk to about all things baby, and am on cd 40 with no sign of af, going slowly out of my mind. Have had a couple of neg hpt, don't know what's going on. Still hopeful, but only just.

Ill use up what I have left then ill buy some folic acid. I had them left over so ill finish the packets. Clearly I couldn't count last time as I ended up 2 packets over. Not sure how that happened.

Maybe, cramps sound all good. Remember that lots of updiffed symptoms are (stupidly) similar to AF ones. Hope you're feeling ok and that you haven't eaten the pup One more day down! So excited for you!

The muffins are amazing - I ate 2 3 and have managed to resist the rest. I would say that they are definitely best when very fresh - much like real donuts. I also bought these excellent individual silicon moulds from John Lewis which are quite big (think cupcake size) and they came out of them brilliantly. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get them out of paper cases when hot
