maybe - sorry a bit late to the party but have been thinking of you

I'm sorry it's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster today. FWIW, I've been told by the midwife that a tiny bit of bleeding is fine and quite normal (particularly at implantation). It's constant red blood that can be a problem. Not sure if its the same with IVF but thinking ( and I may be totally wrong here) that it would be too soon for any AF type nonsense so it can't be that. Got everything crossed for you

DH is away so I'm having a Chinese here too as going to
a BBQ tomorrow. The other guests haven't really stepped up to the mark so I've got loads of cooking to do as felt very sorry for the hosts. Off to peel the potatoes for the potato salad now so decided I'm not bloody cooking for myself too!

Still bloody roasting here. DS and I went out for lunch with a friend today and it was so hot I didn't find it particularly pleasant

Off to catch up with everyone else's news. Post again later post salads making!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 19:47

We are being very lazy and getting Chinese delivered. Im so shattered I can be arsed to cook Grin

Thank you all for your lovely words. I will be a picture of serenity tomorrow who am I kidding

Solars · 12/07/2013 19:25

Hello lovely Biscuits I'm 8w3d. Have a lovely night out tonight.

How nice to get your hair done Maybe and I forget to say MrM did well with organising all those lovely things for you, how sweet.

Cups where are you going tonight? We went out for a pub lunch so a night in for us in front of the box as DH is working late tonight.

Hello to everyone else and hope you all have a lovely weekend x

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 12/07/2013 18:53

Ooh Maybe that sounds promising. Is right on time for a bit of implantation bleeding Thanks

Biscuits I've got an appointment on Sunday at 07:30 for bloods. If they are ok then I should start stimms on the Monday (I think).

I honestly have never been so glad to see my period! I really don't want to down reg any longer so fingers crossed for good blood results.

What's everyone up to tonight? We are off out for tea x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 17:02

Thanks Biscuits. You always say the right things Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 12/07/2013 17:00

Bet your hair looks gorgeous Maybe. I feel horrible and hot and bloated in this weather so I can only imagine how it is when you've got all that stuff going on plus the heat!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 16:47

Thank you so much lovely Biscuits and Munx. It means a lot.

Of course I remember Munx Wink

I've jut had my hair done. I would say like I feel like a new woman. I don't. I feel all bloated and uncomfortable. And more niggly feelings in my bikini line. Still, at least it stopped me from checking for pink crinone every 5 mins Grin

Munxx · 12/07/2013 13:47

Oh and yes cups hurrah for AF! This is not a phrase I am used to using

buscuits lovely to see you!

nurse not sure if I officially said hello. I joined the brookers to TTC number 2. I wasn't hopeful as it took 18 months to get number 1 and a mc plus I was told I wasn't ovulating.

Well despite another mc number 2 was much quicker (still told I want ovulating....hmmm) and DS is now 10 months.

Hello to everybody else!

Munxx · 12/07/2013 13:44

maybe- listen to solars! Easy for me to say, I was an obsessive knicker checker. I hope you are ok today and enjoying the weather.

Fwiw I had terrible stretchy feelings almost from the day of fertilisation (I know it's a different situation but wanted to say just in case it helped). Even at this tender stage your uterus is growing and stretching to accommodate Ernie.

Maybe knows what my degree is in (if she remembers!) so knows full well that I was a super worrier! DH confiscated my textbooks Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 12/07/2013 13:31

Afternoon ladies Smile

Thought I'd nip in and do a wee bit of brooking whilst my wee brook-ette has a nap Smile

Now the first order of business has to be a great big hug for Maybe ThanksThanks. It must feel horrendous to have it so out of your control, and the symptom spotting! It's like all those months of symptom spotting have been training for this 2ww - like professional symptom spotting! I can't say any more than I hope next Friday comes round soon for you. Just keep ticking those days off and remember we're here with you every step of the way xxx

Solars hello lovely lady! So how many weeks are you now? It must be horrible to hear about the other ladies that were cycling with you :(

nurse - hello! I'm biscuits, an age old brooker. It took us 19mths to conceive ds2 (he's now 16 mths and napping away upstairs). We went to the fertility clinic and all that jazz, and DH's SA was a bit suspect. As we already had ds1 we couldn't have IVF or anything on the NHS so they sent us away with some clomid (not that I had ov issues, but there wasn't anything else they could do for us). Now, we were lucky and I got my BFP just before we had to start the clomid BUT, if anyone suggested that we got pg BECAUSE I'd relaxed, oh my goodness, I would quite possibly have lumped them! That crap used to make me so so so mad!

I do have to say though, I don't know that I would have got through it all without the lovely lovely support of the lovely lovely brookers. Seriously , they're an awesome bunch and there is no one I would have rather gone on this roller coaster ride with.

Cups - thinking of you and YAY for AF! So when will you start stimming? Have you got a scan / next appt booked? I'm thinking you have something on Monday but am I making this up?

Right, I have to go and get a few jobs done (actually shower and straighten my hair before going out tonight - whoop whoop!) so catch you brookers later xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 12:56

Thanks Solars. Just feel like I want to cry today. The spotting has stopped now, was just the one wipe. I'm going to hold out till the 20th. I promised the nurse I would Grin.

That's good the clinic keeps an eye on you. How big is sunbeam now? I google embryo development everyday so I can visualise what he is getting up to in there if he is still in there at all

Solars · 12/07/2013 12:32

I'm quietly excited for you Maybe are you testing before the 20th? And youre not dragging the thread down. By the way no idea when I will be discharged from the clinic they keep testing NK values 'til quite late on, so I guess when they're satisfied with the levels.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 12:11

Thanks Solars I'm 4dp5dt transfer, so also 9dpo. With my logical head, I know it's far too early for AF. I only spot the day before, and it's brown (TMI) but this is pale pink Envy that my Vom face. Pink coloured rubbery snot is not pleasing Grin. Just wish I could fast forward a week so I knew one way or the other.

Sorry for dragging the thread down. Full brooking service will resume shortly Smile

Solars · 12/07/2013 12:01

Ooooo Maybe I think that is a really good sign, I had pinky cm which was the equivalent of 9dpo (ie 6dp3dt), I'm thinking a sign of implantation for you!!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 11:56

I've got pink stained Crinone gunk now Sad

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/07/2013 10:50

Solars that is so exciting Grin. When will you be discharged from your clinic?

Cps I'm so pleased AF is there! I was so pleased to see mine when she rocked up! You're bang on course then Grin

Thanks Nurse Smile

Thanks for all your encouragement brookers. I don't want to be thinking negatively. I'm very pleased MrM is off next week. Oh, andyrs, Elty has cancelled all tour dates for now Sad

Solars · 12/07/2013 09:44

Maybe I don't know if you recall but I was saying the same throughout my 2ww and look at me now! You really can't know and we are all brooking no argument that little Ernie is here to stay! I am ok thanks, I'm also midwifed approved too, had my booking in this morning, with some mad mw who kept laughing all the time!!

Cups looks like everything is on target, huzzah!! The relax thing is ridiculous, agreed!

Nurse for your benefit, we have been trying for almost 4 years, recently got a BFP on our second round of ivf/icsi. Still hang around here as these lovely ladies have given me so much support and I'm hoping I can still continue to do the same for you all.

nearlyanurse · 12/07/2013 09:15

Positivity and brookness maybe.

penguin you're one of those lucky folks that managed to produce a beautiful wee baba without trying?? My sister did that twice...not that I'm jealous...

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 12/07/2013 08:03

Relax and it will happen is the biggest load of bullshit ever! God it makes me so annoyed. I know being stressed isn't good in any situation but it does not stop you getting pregnant. I love it when people say my friend tried for two years went on an expensive holiday, got really drunk and boom preggers. Well I've done that several times now and still no baby Grin it's just coincidence.

A friend of ours is preggo and everyone is talking about how great it is that she is finally pregnant as they where trying for ages and they had problems concieving. They where trying for about 8 months ffs! A normal length of time! The best is mutual friends have said to us why don't you try cutting out caffeine and eating healthy like they did. How bloody patronising, we cut down caffiene about 3 years ago. And to compare our journey to theirs is so insensitive. As I told my friends Grin I'm real popular these days!

keepitgoing · 12/07/2013 07:57

Yay cups !! The end of DR is in sight now!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 12/07/2013 07:53

Woooo Hooooo AF is here!!! I didn't think I would ever be happy to post that. DH and I shared a celebratory hi five this morning. Now waiting for Sundays appointment.

Shakes Maybe none of that negative talk missy, there is no way of knowing either way. Sounds like MrM has got some lovely stuff planned for you. Just focus on all of that and let Ernie do his thing. Has Elton cancelled his concerts then? Confused

Solars glad to hear your both doing ok, it must be hard hearing about the people who cycled with you. However you and sunbeam are fine and we are brooking no arguments on that front.

Face wow 13 weeks! How is it all going? What is the plan? Do you need anymore treatment?

Nurse I meant to say, I'm a nurse in rl. Where are you doing your training?

Right need to get moving, have got a study day today. At least I don't have to wear a sweaty uniform today Smile

ThedementedPenguin · 11/07/2013 23:29

Maybe what makes you think that? Is it not too early to tell?

Tbh I read a few acronyms on here and I'm confused by them. Ill maybe have a look for a list of them by doing a search tomorrow.

Nurse I am TTC number 2 although this is my first time trying for a baby. This is cycle 1. Came off the pill on 2nd June and AF arrived 29th June.

I googled when AF didn't arrive for a while big mistake I then came and found this thread Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/07/2013 23:28

Thanks Nurse a good few of us have been going through it. It's not easy, but it will be more than worth if it works Smile

nearlyanurse · 11/07/2013 23:16

Oh maybe fingers crossed for you. It aint over till it's over. If only one of us can be preggers this month, I'll go without! ! I don't know a great deal about ivf, but can only imagine how much of a roller coaster the whole process is.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/07/2013 23:09

Yes Nurse the oldies are the best Grin

You'd have a struggle reading back, we've been going for years over here!! I am coming to the end of my first cycle of IVF ICSI. I had an embryo transferred on Monday so am now waiting!

I have an overwhelming feeling tonight that it hasn't worked Sad
