nurse - agree with all the excellent advice on this thread. That sounds v hard to coordinate with your DP away.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 14/07/2013 09:55

solars - sorry! Don't think I posted a big congratulations to you!!!! Flowers

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 14/07/2013 09:54

cups - that is extremely annoying. Particularly when you specifically asked. Don't want to wind you up more by saying how unreasonable it is but It. Is. Aargh

Hope everyone can enjoy the sun a bit today.

maybe - good to know that the spotting can be a side effect if the progrsterone too but this wait is agonising. Don't want to be bombarding you with theories but if I hear anything else of interest fromy pal, I'll let you know

Solars · 14/07/2013 09:17

Cross posts Cups that sounds awful that you have to fit into their timetable I'm angry on your behalf too. I know it's difficult but try not to let it effect you too much, big hugs x

Solars · 14/07/2013 09:13

Haha Kitty yes is your DH well fit? Grin

Sorry to hear about AF Nurse and you're definitely not a bad person, re your cousin, happens to the best of us.

Cups good luck with you bloods today, hope you get to start stimming now.

Maybe hope you're doing ok, spotting can mean so many things and its obviously too early for AF, as you say could be related to the progesterone, can be known to irritate the cervix.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 14/07/2013 09:09

Maybe how are you doing this morning? It's way too early for AF, it must be little Ernie getting comfy. It's most definitely not over yet. Big hugs x

Nurse sorry to hear AF got you but at least that random cycle is over. On to the next one and this will be the one, ok?! I think with you living apart it's a good idea to use OPKs as even if you don't you will be constantly checking dates etc. at least this will give you some reassurance for when ovulation is near.

Kitty god that's awful, I love/hate Blackpool. It's a crazy place. I went twice last year for big birthdays and had a great time. But it is full of crazies. Did you actually help her with her belly bar?!

AFM I've been to the clinic, I've had bloods and am waiting for a call. I'm really annoyed though as I've been told even if my bloods are good I can't start stimming until fri or sat as they have a lot of people on short protocol that they have to accommodate. I'm so annoyed as I asked at my teach would i need to down reg for longer to accommodate other cycles and was told no that it would go solely off my response. I feel really pissed off at the clinic, I'm sick of the goal posts changing all the time and being told different things.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/07/2013 08:24

Nurse how long did you say you had been trying? I think it was a while wasn't it? I think you're doing the right thing with tracking and temping because of the distance from DH, it will help you to make sure you smack the rat on the right days, but also, if you OV and you don't get chance to see him, you'll be slightly better prepared mentally if the witch arrive iynwim.

Kitty that woman sounds ......... normal for Blackpool Grin so do tell, is your husband well fit?

BlindKitty · 14/07/2013 08:04

nurse try not to get too obsessed this soon! Bare in mind that lots of us in here have all had years to become obsessive with opks, bbt, poas etc etc. studies do actually say to forget all that (especially at your stage) and just have lots of sex!

maybe it can't be af, it's not due for ages!!

keep so pleased the scan went well

penguin just say when you don't get an acronym. There's so many of them, no one would mind telling you. Did hate them initially but it does make typing easier once you know them

So in my news, we went to Blackpool for my friend's bday party. There are some right 'states' staying in the room next door..vile, loud women on a hen weekend. One of them knocked on our door to ask me to put her belly button ring in!!! Gross!!!! She was all clammy as well!!! Then...asked my dh to check I'd done it properly!!! The best bit was when we overheard her telling her mates that my dh was 'well fit'!!!! Ah, only in Blackpool!!!

Oh Maybe I'm not giving up on this cycle, there are so many things that could cause it! Come on ernie!

Nurse can't believe AF dared to show her face around here, who does she think she is?? So you're armed with pee sticks and a thermometer, that BFP is yours :):) have you thought about just relaxing?? Wink

Right, off to get a few more zzz's, catch you all later

keepitgoing · 14/07/2013 04:24

Oh and nurse we have all had breakdowns caused by the green eyed monster at other pregnancies. It's horrible and makes you hate yourself, but we understand. Being happy to their face is good enough, in my book.

keepitgoing · 14/07/2013 04:21

maybe, I said this to the others. Honestly I don't think you can know either way without testing, as the symptoms are a bugger and the progesterone confuses it all. Just keep you head down and get through the next six days or test now. Do not write it off though. You have such a good chance with your great Ernie. But, remember you have frosties, if needed.

I am v impatient, and always thought I would find out the sex. I read the last pages of books etc. But when its come to it a bigger part of me likes the surprise. Maybe its all the intervention poking prodding. I like an old fashioned bit of mystery? Who knows.

nurse at least that's drawn a line under that silly cycle. Time to up the organization. We are here cheering you on.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 23:23

Thank you lovely Gen x

GenericDietCola · 13/07/2013 23:05

Maybe, keep your chin up my love. We're all brooking for you and I have a very good feeling for little Ernie! Smile

nearlyanurse · 13/07/2013 23:00

Ha! Something to look forward to!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 22:59

Oh bless you!! I'm sure you will bloom!!

nearlyanurse · 13/07/2013 22:57

I'll be pissing past myself, spewing rings round myself, turning my nose up at all food, but starving hungry AND I'll be so tired I'll be bedbound for 9 months, and won't even be able to wear the maternity t-shirt I secretly bought on one of my more mental days.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 22:56

Haha! I bet when you get your bfp you don't have a single symptom Grin

nearlyanurse · 13/07/2013 22:53

If you can't moan here maybe, where can you?? Ive given up trying to second guess symptoms - I convince myself I'm preggers and get every bloody symptom going - I dread to think what symptoms I'll get for an actual bfp. I'll be at deaths door with nausea, boobs in agony, hormones escaping from my pores...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 22:52

Thanks lovely Gobbo that means a lot. Spotting is a side effect of my progesterone gel too. But the irrational side is choosing not to listen Grin

Hope you had a lovely BBQ x

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 13/07/2013 22:47

maybe - just dashing on. Was going o post this tomorrow but want to do it now, now I've seen your last posts.

I was at a BBQ today with a girl who had a successful ivf cycle. She had spotting during the 2ww - doc thought it was down to manipulation of her cervix at the transfer.

Just wanted to share.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 22:45

You're right Nurse. The blood was only on my progesterone applicator (TMI). And I have my very low down pokey pains back again. They are nothing like AF cramps. It's just all so confusing Hmm.

I shall try not to moan anymore. This 2ww is harder than any I've ever had!!

nearlyanurse · 13/07/2013 22:33

Oh maybe I'm sorry to hear that. Remain optimistic if you can - it aint over til its over!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 21:46

It doesn't make you a bad person at all, don't worry about that Smile. It will be your turn soon, of that I'm sure.

I've started spotting again so really have written this cycle off. I promised myself I wouldn't get too down if this didnt work, but I seem to be breaking that promise!

nearlyanurse · 13/07/2013 21:41

Hey maybe am moving to live just outside high wycombe and will be working at a hospital in surrey.

Just in from a party, my cousin is preggers (she mc early into her pregnancy last year) - she doesn't want to know the sex at her 20 week scan next week, but I'd be desperate to know. I'm really pleased for her, especially after the nightmare she had last year, but a teeny part of me is sad. Does that make me a bad person?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 18:36

Oh Nurse sorry she is here and with a vengeance. What a bitch. But you're in the right place! Just put this cycle down as a one off, we've all had them!

Whereabouts down south are you moving?

Penguin if we crack it, I'm finding the sex out ASAP! This has been a long time coming and I would not be able to handle the wait Grin
