A new thread for all you lovely, crazy ladies. Here's to lots of BFPs!

OP posts:
Badhairday76 · 10/07/2013 19:49

Are you really thinking of adopting Seaside? Do you mind if I ask how long you have been trying for after losing a tube? I have been trying since February. Got pregnant in March but lost the baby over Easter Weekend with an early miscarriage. I have secretly decided we'll try until Christmas then go down the IVF route. I'm 37 now so don't want to leave it too late. It still feels weird when I type that. I'm only 24 in my mind!

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 19:46

And saggy thanks for the hugs and understanding of jealousy and miserableness if others bfps. I'm in a group of friends of 4 - all due the same time as I was, and I'm really happy -and insanely jealous that all of their pregnancies are fine and in a couple of months they will all have bouncing babies and I will no doubt still be sobbing over bfns and blood stained bed sheets. Sorry - the posifrickintivity is lacking.

I so want to just forget it, see what happens but I can't. Im sucked into a world of SMEP, pre-seed, dates, bfns, abbreviations galore and disappointment.

However I know I will pick up and stop being so down... Just hope it's soon. Do you reckon posifrickintivity can be sold in some form of pill or injection? If so, I need it!

missmakesstuff · 10/07/2013 19:37

Well I am out, AF arrived this morning, with a vengeance, feel rubbish. Will teach me for being so convinced with no real evidence!

I have loads of work to do over the next few days and am feeling really fed up, looking forward to the end of term which will coincide with the fertile period, hopefully now DH will think it is ok to start trying, even though he is still not having any luck with the jobs. He was quite disappointed this morning too I think.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/07/2013 19:17

I aim for the utmost drama Seaside! Grin I always was a drama queen!
Trin weird dreams are a good sign!

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 19:09

trinpy that's both funny and ironic!

Glad it's not only me that has totally nuts dreams - but weird dreams are also an occurrence in pregnancy so you might not be so deluded!!

Trinpy · 10/07/2013 18:54

Out of interest, I just typed the German word that came up on the clearblue digi in my dream last night into google translate and it means...

delusion Grin

How has this seeped into my subconscious???

Trinpy · 10/07/2013 17:53

Really happy for you saggy.

So sad to hear so many others aren't having any luck Sad .

I had a dream last night that I poaclearbluedigi except I bought a German one and couldn't understand what the words said! So then I used a first response only to realise I'd accidentally used someone else's pee and the bfp was not my own. Random.

Im on 8 dpo and ashamed to say I am pinning all my hopes on conceiving this month. will not be testing for a while yet though as my cycles were averaging 6 weeks before mc. so could be another 3 weeks until af/bfp Sad .

SeasideLily · 10/07/2013 17:35

Aaaaaaahhh Saggy i'm so happy for you! Christ you had me on tenterhooks catching up on this thread, i was desperate for you to POAS, and for the pages to load on my bloody phone!

Sal you just made me snort with laughter on the train (in the quiet coach) I think that actually is real life romance, your DH sounds a sweetie! I was impressed when mine agreed to SMEP.

We've agreed to start adoption process in new year if not knocked up by then. I know 6 months isnt long to give it, esp with only one tube, but i'm just not willing to wait 2 years. I feel like my life's on hold while we try for a kid-and it'll take so long to go through the process anyway. Then if i get up duffed during the process, we just hang fire.

Not been able to keep up to date for a few days- gutted for you Sapphire. So sorry.

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 17:13

Ha ha sal that has made me laugh! Seriously though if you get a bfp this cycle I'm def getting my DH to 'knock one out' and deploy project syringe in our household.

White shorts - agree brave at the best of times. Today my skirt blew up in the wind and revealed my 'period pants' to all passers by. Can safely say no wolf whistles were received.

Think I'm up for a pity party thread. One where we can to vent, rant and moan which evil witch arrives without ruining the posifrickintivity of this one! Pimms welcome!

Was asked twice at work today the "you must be thinking about having a second child by now / isn't it about time you had # 2? J.O.Y.

Misspositivity · 10/07/2013 15:21

saggy. Excellent news

Sal1977 · 10/07/2013 14:27

...knock one out if you like...."

Confused

Who says romance is dead...?

Sal1977 · 10/07/2013 14:26

We did 3 lots of syringe squirts this month. Bless him, DH put his back out on the final BD day and was laid up and piped up " I don't think I can sort you out babe, but I could kn

alyant79 · 10/07/2013 13:03

sal i was just thinking about you earlier and wondering if project syringe was still going on. guess so!
3 at once sounds like a nightmare though, so I hope you've only got 2 on the go Grin

white shorts badhair!? I'm never game to wear them, AF or not. I'm sure i'd sit in something disgusting.

RainbowConnections · 10/07/2013 11:07

3 at once. Now that is posifrickintivity!

Sal1977 · 10/07/2013 10:57

Hurrah Saggy!!! I'm hoping to join you in your celebrations in approximately 12 days time! Grin

Temp went up yesterday so obviously hopefully OV on Monday (day 16 - same as the month I got up duffed), did a quick squirt with a syringe last night as 'one for luck' and now looking forward to bits and bobs having a rest!

I kept going with the OV sticks this month and got 4 days of positives...WTF? Also had some spotting a few days before so now trying to convince myself its because loads of eggs were getting ready to pop out and I'll be rewarded with 3 babies in one hit!! Grin

So the waiting begins......

RainbowConnections · 10/07/2013 10:05

Do I need AF to join the pity party? I can bring my own mood swings and bitterness pimms.

DTD did not go well last night - "too much pressure" and apparently explaining in response just how much I absolutely needed to get pregnant right now so we had to get on with it whether we were in the mood or wasn't a not turn on! I hope our efforts previous nights were enough.

Hi triplespin. If you had a smiley yesterday tonight should be good. Hope you can make it more fun than I managed!

Hopefully the fertility clinic will help give you something to feel positive about soon katatonic.

triplespin · 10/07/2013 09:46

saggy so pleased for you ! I'm glad you POAS and didn't wait till Friday :)

rainbow I am on a similar cycle - CB ovpk had a smiley yesterday, so probably ovulating tomorrow I suppose (also my first after MC). Unfortunately, not holding out much hope, as DTD only once - DH has been very busy at work. Have bought pineapple anyway - it can't hurt I suppose !

alyant79 · 10/07/2013 09:22

you can't be positive ALL the time kata. there needs to be some ups and downs or else you won't appreciate the ups :)
if only the downs weren't quite so MUCH down :(

Congrats Saggy - great news to wake up to!

Sapphire - hope you are doing as well as you can. So sorry.

I too am suffering terrible period pain and cramps and bleeding everywhere Fedup and Katatonic. I hate periods. Want to wear my new white shorts but daren't!

alyant79 · 10/07/2013 09:08

saggy that's great news!!!! but here's a tiny fishslap for not waiting until friday (i prob wouldn't have either).

kata boo to AF Angry. At least you've got your apt at the clinic all sorted so perhaps that can take a bit of the pressure off... I don't think you'll be waiting another three years, I have a very good feeling for you.

thanks for the temping advice birds and ddmf. guess I can't get too excited by my high temps, but only disappointed if they start dropping. That's good to know.

saggy I remember SpanishLady too. She got her bfp just after I joined the thread and I remember thinking "ooh, she got her bfp even before her first post-mc AF, that will totally be me too". Hah!!!

nearlyreadytopop · 10/07/2013 08:39

congratulations saggy so pleased for you

BirdsDoIt · 10/07/2013 08:18

Wooooo saggy massive congratulations! That's fabulous!!

katatonic and fedup sorry AF got you, that's rubbish. Silver lining...ummm...pimms?

ks78 I'm not sure about what level of bleeding is normal - after my erpc they said I might have bleeding for up to two weeks and if it was longer then to get in touch. In reality it was fairly light and stopped after about 10 days including spotting at the end. But I know what it's like - I had almost four weeks of bleeding in all waiting for a natural mc which didn't happen (I had mmc and started bleeding at 12 weeks though it was all over at about 4 weeks) and it just goes on and on and you want it to be over and done with so you can get on with your life and start ttc again. Big hugs. Maybe call your gp if it carries on getting heavier?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/07/2013 08:18

Have a huge {{{{hug}}}} FedUp. I know exactly how you feel. SpanishLady was on my last antenatal thread, and she must be 5 or 6 months gone now. When she announced her BFP here, before I'd even got a post MC bfn I was gutted. Absolutely gutted, and everyone else who's graduated has made me more and more miserable. selfish I know. But your turn WILL come. and then the FEAR really begins!
I have a silver lining, I've just dipped my toe into the grads thread, and they're getting a baby today. Grin it can happen.

KS78 · 10/07/2013 07:55

Am so excited about all the BFPs - this is definitely the thread to be on - we can do this! Quick question - it's 12 days after my Erpc - I didn't bleed much for the first three or four days but it is just getting heavier and showing no signs of slowing down. Been really heavy since Monday - I just expected it to slow down and stop...horrible in this hot weather and we are going on holiday next week so really wanted to be feeling positive, not bleeding and concentrating on DTD!
