A new thread for all you lovely, crazy ladies. Here's to lots of BFPs!

OP posts:
RainbowConnections · 11/07/2013 14:31

Badhair that really made me laugh! I would love to try that conversation with my mum.
Triplespin i figure I can count from ovulation re whether pregnant or not regardless of when AF due. I got BFP 10dpo before so I'll probably test the same stage this time even though its early - assuming its a Friday of course!

Sounds like a well dressed thread. I love Whisteles but sadly a bit too poor for shopping these days. Sale sounds tempting though....

Fingers crossed for Fertile Friday.

alyant79 · 11/07/2013 13:45

haha badhair that must have been an awkward conversation.

ks78 I don't know about ovulating while bleeding. I tried to find the same thing out myself and never came up with a satisfactory answer. My guess would be after you stop but you never know.
My bleeding lasted for just over two weeks after my mmc and just under after my erpc... the last few days of both were more like spotting though.

triplespin good idea to get outside - i'm stuck at work though. not that a lot of work is getting done today Wink. In fact I just popped out over lunch and in the spirit of retail therapy bought myself a nice new top in the john lewis sale. Grin not that AF has arrived yet but I'm assuming that she will.

sal glad to hear that i'm not the only FF-obsessed loony in the house.

Sal1977 · 11/07/2013 13:05

Aly I LOVE fertility friend, I look at my chart and my chart from January when I got preggo at least 3 hundred times a day!

If we find each other on FF, we can obsess about each others charts....

Badhairday76 · 11/07/2013 10:24

Ha ha - I also treat myself to Whistles stuff (and Monsoon and Boden...) when I get AF. It eases the pain. Plus they all have sales on right now so it would be rude not to indulge. I am sat in my classroom on Mumsnet instead of marking books. Feels v decadent!

I have just had to explain to my mum that my DS and I can't go and stay with her when we planned because I need to stay in London to have sex with my DP! She told me I was 'getting obsessive' which is probably true, I guess. But you never know. My luck must change sometime, eh?

KS78 · 11/07/2013 10:14

Does anyone know of you can ovulate while still bleeding. I'm really fed up - two weeks tomorrow since my Erpc (or Eric as my phone likes to autocorrect to??) and I'm still bleeding. Not sure if I will ovulate now or once I've stopped bleeding - I know the ov sticks aren't reliable after miscarriage but I'm using them anyway - like to fool myself that I'm in control. Loving the retail therapy idea when Af arrives! I've got another dream to add to the list - the other night I dreamt that my womb fell out - I took it to the doctor and asked him to sew it back on...!

triplespin · 11/07/2013 10:07

thanks alyant. lets hope mine comes sooner rather than later. the wait is agonising.

Why don't you go out and enjoy the sunny weather ! I am the same, can spend hours googling and symptom spotting. Thankfully DS keeps me busy enough that I can't be attached to comp for too long - otherwise i'd drive myself (and everyone else around me) mad.

alyant79 · 11/07/2013 09:21

ARGH!! i've gone mad.
just been checking out other people's charts on fertility friend to see whether or not my temp drop does mean that it's all over. verdict: drop wasn't enough to be conclusive either way.

I'm going to have to ban myself from my computer for the rest of the day

alyant79 · 11/07/2013 08:47

triplespin my first AF actually came a bit less than 2 wks after I think i ov.

alyant79 · 11/07/2013 08:45

ooh yes, a ring for pushing. perfect plan fedup

my AF is due sundayish but my temps took a bit of a nosedive this morning so now i'm feeling all miserable and convinced that I won't even make it that long. Boo!
Here's hoping for a miracle and that they start going up again tomorrow.

I was going to POAS on my first response test tomorrow morning but in the light of my low temps I think i'll just use one of the free cheapies that came with my bbt thermometer. In fact I don't know why i'm even thinking of doing that - except it's fertile friday so I have to join in! Plus I got 10 so i might as well start using them.

fingers crossed that AF doesn't show flohs and missp and me

right, i'm off to find out what Whistles is. Sounds like it might be my sort of silver lining

triplespin · 11/07/2013 08:42

floh I love the retail therapy post AF. I might steal that from you too - whistles here I come !

rainbow yes we managed to DTD last night, DH was grumbling though - apparently i'm ov at the wrong time of the month (not his work !). Not quite sure now though whether it will be a 2ww or 3 or 4. Should I be expecting AF to arrive 2 weeks post ovulation, if its the first cycle post mc? Or it could come at almost anytime? How has it been like for other ladies on here?

trinpy your dream made me laugh !

flohs · 11/07/2013 07:43

Congratulations Saggy - Amaaaaazing news! I knew you were!

Kat so sorry the nasty AF got you..... it's v hard to be positive when that happens. But as Aly said - I've got good vibes for you - I'm sure it won't be another three years.....

Whenever I get my AF I buy myself something from Whistles! It does actually work as a silver lining. I have to be quite vague with my husband about where it came from - fortunately he doesn't know the diff between H & M and Whistles.

I'm really sorry about all the NCT stuff - my friend is in the same boat at the mo with NCT and it really gets her down......

If I have one more friend that says to me 'we weren't even really trying that much' I might tell them to s** off! I wouldn't but I do in my head.

Nothing happening here apart from the usual cramps which were pretty bad yesterday. If this month is like the last few spotting could potentially start spotting in a few days time. I really hope it doesn't.

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2013 07:25

Ouch missp how did you drop an iPad on your head?! Impressive. And liking your postifrickintivity.

Just had a cry on the train this morning so am not in quite the same boat (or train rather)! Hormones a raging.

Misspositivity · 10/07/2013 23:11

fedup just thinking it would be better than the I pad I bought me last time which I dropped on by head whilst trading in bed at hospital. Ended up going home with a baby and a black eye.

Misspositivity · 10/07/2013 23:04

fedup excellent idea.

Misspositivity · 10/07/2013 23:03

alyant. I like your thinking. I stuck my bottom lip out and he said I can have both but not in same year.
Hope your feeling a bit happier. When is AF due. I am due on Tuesday. Not even bothering to do my usual symptom spotting. It's too depressing but am temping.

sal you really make me giggle - I do hope the syringe delivers.

I am really trying not to get pregnancy envy . I know it's just not my time yet and there is a special baby Just for us and i just have to wait my turn. How's that for positivity.

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 22:35

A diamond ring once you pushed the baby out?!

alyant79 · 10/07/2013 22:21

Ooooh missp!!
Your answer was of course 3. All of the above

Tomkat79 · 10/07/2013 21:37

Yey saggy am so pleased for you!

Xx

Misspositivity · 10/07/2013 21:34

DP has just informed I have a decision to make.

1/ a diamond ring. Ooohhh!!!!!!!!
2/ another baby

What do you think me answer was?????

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 20:55

DEFINATELY rock those white shorts bad hair. It's F you to af if anything!

I have medical insurance at work that have been Paying for for god knows how long. If I get past 6 months of ttc post this miscarriage am so going down that route.

I so want two more kids too. Keep dreaming of my big family. That's why I'm considering adoption if ttc fails.

Badhairday76 · 10/07/2013 20:35

Yeah - I reckon so, Seaside But I inherited a little bit of money when my Dad died so could kind of afford it. I could certainly justify the expense, anyway! I would really like two more children which seems like an impossible dream right now but am ever hopeful. I know what you mean about feeling drained from waiting and hoping though. But I'm determined to make the most of NOT being pregnant over the summer - including wearing my white shorts when AF has vanished....!

Fedup - I hear you re. feeling envy for all of the pregnant friends. I met a mate I hadn't seen for ages who had a baby last month and fell pregnant first time coming off the pill after 15 years and conceived on her honeymoon. She kept saying 'I can't believe how easy it is'. She was then mortified when I mentioned my own experiences and those of others I know. Our time will come. I wish so much we could all get our BFPs next cycle. Until then, am keeping positive!

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2013 20:33

aly - all my NCT are too and exactly the same as you, mine was due first. I haven't seem them in weeks and really don't think they understand how hard it is for me / why I feel like I do.. Once we were all in the same place in our lives, and now they are moving on to a place i so desperately want to be. Ugh.

Sorry missmakes af got you. I'm with you on the disappointment. Big hugs

seaside local authorities have recently been given gov grants to help recruit new adopters and improve the system so it's quicker, less painful and more likely to lead to matching. I'm thinking about it too as work in a world when I see and hear about so many kids without loving families and we have a lot of love to give so why not. And if I have another child naturally then bonus.

SeasideLily · 10/07/2013 20:23

'Hang' around! Typing on phone and walking! Sorry for huge post!

alyant79 · 10/07/2013 20:22

Fedup I could have gone to lunch today with my nct buddies, all of whom are preggo again. But I just couldn't go and face their bumps :( I should have been further along than all of them. So rubbish.
Anyway I feel quite selfish for not going but after a positive day yesterday I was feeling really down today. On the way back up though! I've got my silver lining planned out for if when af arrives on the weekend.

Missmakes that's really rubbish :( but if you had got preggo with those dates I'd have been floored!

Trinpy: hilarious! Wunderbar! The brain really is an amazing thing isn't it?

Sal, hahaha. You make me laugh so much Grin

SeasideLily · 10/07/2013 20:21

That's quite encouraging to hear that you got pg so quickly after losing a tube bighair, though so rubbish it ended in MC. It makes me more hopeful. We tried for 2 months, then had 2 months off because i started losing my mind, then the first month has just passed. I know it's really not long to wait, but i've always intended to have just the one child myself and adopt the rest-and amazingly DH's on board. So I'm thinking we might just turn the timing on its head, adopt first and get pg when it happens. I just find the waiting and hoping so draining, and i feel my life's in limbo-it affects my future plans, my career path etc. I'm 26 and a journalist, so i' trying to make plans based on kids that are taking their time to appear...I understand how you feel, that docs will say it's too early to be worrying about IVf/adopting, but you arent willing to hand around. Sometimes their timescales dont take people's actual lives into account! Will you have to go private?
