flohs that's such a pity. Stupid, stupid, evil AF. Big hugs for you, and well done for no POAS!

badhair i'm sorry that you were feeling miserable. It's impossible not to with a due date looming. Glad that you are feeling a bit better now though.

fedup i didn't start temping until CD 7 last cycle, and it was still very easy to see my ovulation. This is the first cycle that i'm doing it from CD1, and I have to say that my temps are a bit all over the place so far. Apparently that's quite normal during AF. So I think you should go for it, you haven't ruined anything by not starting until now.

flohs · 16/07/2013 07:50

Congratulations Thunder - great great news. Misp sorry to see you go but really hope you can relax during your timeout.

Well I was quietly positive this month as AF was a few days late and 'thought' I felt different but have woken up to cramps and spotting this morning. Bleurgh. Back to the drawing board. Not feeling very positive. But I didn't POAS. Was waiting till Friday! So no fish slaps.

Badhairday76 · 16/07/2013 07:45

Oops - forgot to add, Over - take no notice of your MIL (or whoever said that stupid comment. It makes my blood boil some of the insensitive things people say to others when they are clearly suffering and it's often family members who are the worst. I remember this happening when my Dad died as well. In fact I could write a book on what NOT to say when people are grieving. Some people are clearly deficient in emotional intelligence! Okay, rant over.....

Badhairday76 · 16/07/2013 07:42

CongratulationsThunder - it really does give hope to all of us.

Misspositivity - hope you get a good rest from TTC. We all know how mentally draining it can be.

Penguinita - I am exactly the same as you re. trying something new each month. I totally agree it makes you feel like you have more control.

I had a huge snotty crying fit last night. The baby I lost on Christmas Eve along with my tube after the ectopic would have been due this month. Am relieved I don't know the actual numerical date, but think its just making me sad for the whole of July. Feel a bit calmer today though. About to start really going for it ttc wise cos AF has finally gone. Doesn't sound too appealing in this heat!

Hope everyone is feeling positive today.

Thundercatsarego · 16/07/2013 06:13

Ah thank you lovelies for the kind words and sorry to see a few familiar faces on here. Ttc after mc is so hard, especially if it doesn't work straight away- so many conflicting emotional and physical things going on. One day at a time... For me anyway! Flowers for all of you x x

fedupofrainydays · 15/07/2013 22:48

missp sorry you are leaving us but also hope the ttc break does you good. Take care and Will be thinking of you xx

thunder yay! Thats fab news. i too had a MMC at 12 weeks too so you are giving me some hope!

I'm currently in my only 'ok' week of the month so actually feeling up beat and happy for once. Rest of the month am a hormonal, emotional wreck who sometimes thinks she could be sectioned. DTD marathon starts tomorrow. Bring. It. On.

OveranxiousUnderated · 15/07/2013 22:03

thunder Congratulations Grin thanks for sharing your good news.

missp Take care, hopefully hear from you soon. x Flowers

penguin I am very much like you - I have pretty much tried something new every month. It makes me feel better knowing I am actively doing something, and takes away a bit of the 'same old routine' kind of thing. This month (post op, pre-af) I am using as my opportunity to "just let nature take it's course, not 'try'"

Penguinita · 15/07/2013 21:36

greenlizard I don't think you should worry too much at this stage, it takes time to get back to normal. it took me 6 weeks to get AF and my temps were all over the place, then I ov'd and got af within a week. Although they also went all over the place when I was pg, so maybe... ? Wink

Penguinita · 15/07/2013 21:22

Aww, lovely news thunder, thanks for sharing that with us to give us all hope Smile

Sorry you are leaving us for a while missp , we'll still be here to give you support when you need it Flowers

fedup - I haven't been using OPKs this month, but I do have a clear blue fertility monitor on my amazon wish list. If AF arrives it will be going straight in my basket!

I have a plan to try one new thing a month until I get pg. It makes me feel like I'm doing something actively about it. So I'll start with the sensible things, but if it takes a while then it might start to get a bit extreme! Grin

alyant79 · 15/07/2013 21:10

Thunder that's wonderful! Really really wonderful, I know it's been a long journey for you.
I hope that everything works out perfectly for you this time.

Missp that's sad news, we'll miss you very much :( take care of yourself

Misspositivity · 15/07/2013 21:00

thunder super news. Delighted for you.

Well guys I have decided to take a break for a months of TTC really short luteal phase so started b6 today and going to keep up my acuncpuncture. No point getting pregnant only to lose again need to get myself sorted first.

Thanks for all the support and the laughs just need a bit of time out xxx

Sal1977 · 15/07/2013 20:34

Hello ladies,

I don't know if many of you will remember me because I've been off the thread for quite a long time now. saggy suggested I drop in to share my news regardless.

I'm just popping in to say that I got a bfp today. It's really really early days but nice to have some good news at last! I had a mmc at 12 weeks back in November. So it feels like its been a long time coming. And now the terror really begins!

Hello to all those I know and a hug to all those who have joined more recently x x

Trinpy · 15/07/2013 17:15

Hi greenlizard. It might be that you've ovulated or that your body has tried to ovulate but not quite made it iyswim. keep dtd just in case. my doctor told me it can take up to 8 weeks for first period after mc.

Im now 13 dpo so expecting af any day now. I've been having cramps for a few days, and had a load of ewcm a couple of days ago (sorry if tmi) so I think the witch is on her way. On the plus side, I'm leaving my current job in 2 weeks and hoping to have a couple of weeks break before starting new job, so I should be nice and relaxed with plenty of time to dtd around ov time Smile .

alyant79 · 15/07/2013 11:46

hi greenlizard if you had a positive opk last week that's a good sign. wait for 2 weeks after your positive and if AF still hasn't arrived then fingers crossed for a positive pg test.

I don't know about temps as i've only just started doing them, but I think that they can be a bit screwy post mc

triplespin · 15/07/2013 11:35

greenlizard I had a mc 4 weeks ago and have not had any sign of AF as yet. I was told 4-6 weeks by the doctors and from reading on the forum here, it can take longer. So I don't think you should be worried as yet. The bleeding could be implanation bleeding especially as you have been TTC since the mc and also ov last week. I hope that's the case - fingers crossed for you !

greenlizard · 15/07/2013 09:43

Hi Ladies

I wonder if I might ask your advice? I had an ERPC 5 weeks ago after a MMC at 10 weeks. We want to try again ASAP and have been DTD for the last few weeks but I have yet to see any sign of AF. I am getting -ve HPTs but my temps have not been telling me a lot as they are hovering mid range (somewhere between pre/post ovulation temps before MC) not going up or down. For the last week I have been having cramps and a bit of spotting (pinkish/brown blood) not a lot and have had a positive OPK last week but no temp rise for ovulation or drop for AF.

I am a bit confused....any advice? How long did it take you to get your AF back? Should I be concerned/seek medical advice?

Thanks Flowers

alyant79 · 15/07/2013 07:17

Ks78 that's great that you've finally stopped bleeding. Horaay!

Over sounds like a good plan to me. Reckon I'd do the same.

Penguin I too think fertility friend is great. Much better than the basic period tracker app that I was using previously.

Omama I'm glad that you're starting to feel a bit more positive

fedupofrainydays · 15/07/2013 07:13

over I would go for it too if you feel ready. Everyone's body is different and I've discovered that it doesn't matter what anyone else did / how quickly they got pregnant as my body has its own plan and recovery times.

penguin did you opk too? Ie did your opk say you ov'd later than your temps did? I was going to temp this month but now cd 6 so probably a bit late to try!

Penguinita · 14/07/2013 22:57

over, I think if you feel ready you should just go for it. I felt the same in cycle 0, it was only because I hadn't had a negative pregnancy test that I ended up waiting.

Not sure i could be bothered to get a bikini wax pre-birth, surely "letting it all hang out" is one of the bonuses of pregnancy Grin. Although maybe the re growth would be less uncomfortable than shaving rash when things are a bit tender post birth Hmm

I downloaded the Fertlity Friend app today, I'd recommend it to anyone else that's temping. Especially as it says my ovulation day is three days earlier than I thought, which is a bonus as we then DTD twice in the fertile window. So maybe I have a chance this month after all! Smile

omama · 14/07/2013 21:20

Welcome cosmic - sorry you are here too. Your story is pretty much same as mine - 15months ttc,mmc at 11wks. i'm now 3 weeks post erpc & am starting to feel a bit more positive. Here's hoping we get sticky beans soon.

overanxious - ikwym about not wanting to wait. I've not bothered with opk's this month but we have started ttc already. If the witch gets me this month I'll start in earnest with charting & opk's next time.

Fx'd

OveranxiousUnderated · 14/07/2013 20:23

Welcome cosmic Smile x

OveranxiousUnderated · 14/07/2013 20:22

Seems really quiet on here today. Maybe everyone's too busy dtd Grin Hope everyone is doing okay!

Yesterday my MIL decided to tell me she was talking to a lady "who also has one tube, it took her 9 years to have another baby" ...is that supposed to reassure me?! Grrr.

I got a very positive OPK today. It's almost 4 weeks since my surgery. I've made the decision not to wait for AF before ttc again. I'm sure people will disagree but I feel that I've got to go with what my heart/body is telling me and I just don't want to miss an opportunity. Physically I feel okay and emotionally all I want is to be pregnant! We've had unprotected sex twice now anyway so too late to go back! Been getting Ov pains on my right (tubeless side) though so not holding out too much hope.
