alyant79 · 07/07/2013 22:50

Missmakes and saggy I am v v hopeful!

alyant79 · 07/07/2013 22:48

That would be funny jbrd! It's such a small world...
We went to Northumberland. Never been before, would like to go again. Simply stunning.
Where was your friend's wedding?

JBrd · 07/07/2013 22:44

Ooh, alyant, I was at a friend's wedding, too! How far North did you venture?
Highly unlikely we were at the same wedding, but wouldn't it be amazing? Smile

alyant79 · 07/07/2013 22:32

Congrats jbrd and sapphire! What wonderful news.
I've had a lovely weekend up north at a friends wedding. Survived one shock pregnancy announcement and one "do you want another dc?" question without feeling too awful.

Currently 7dpo and refusing to symptom spot :)

JBrd · 07/07/2013 21:56

Ooh, Saggy, crossing everything for you!

Sorry for not more name-checking, I'm on holiday in Scotland, with a dodgy wifi and on the iPad, so can't scroll while writing... Not that I'm complaining, we've had gorgeous weather in the last few days Smile

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I still feel so numb, it's not sunk it yet. And I don't think that I will be able to relax in the first trimester, certainly not until I've passed the 8 week mark - both my mcs happened at that time. It's going to be a looooonnngg wait Confused
I've decided not to tell anybody this time, apart from my closest friends, until we feel a bit more certain about what's going on. So I guess that will be around 12 weeks, once we've had the scan. I just can't bear the idea of the constant questions about how I'm feeling etc.

And I'm already getting stressed about whether I will get ant symptoms this time. I know that every pregnancy is different, but after not having any sickness or anything in the two failed pregnancies, and being really sick with DS in the first trimester, I'm now on the line of symptoms = healthy pg, no symptoms = not good. Stupid, I know Confused

No I hadn't been doing the c25k, but I've been thinking about it! My local running group has just announced that they'll be doing a beginners course in September, but I guess that's out now. This always happens when I want to start running again!

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww! I hope you won't mind if I hang around a bit longer, I'm too scared to join any of the pg threads just yet (I've such a yo-yo member on some of them...).

BirdsDoIt · 07/07/2013 21:55

Ooh saggy fingers crossed for you! And for missmakes
(would be Sod's law if you got a BFP when you weren't 'officially' trying, wouldn't it!)

Top posifrickintivity kat! Yep, joyous miraculous things do happen - Murray winning Wimbledon, a glorious sunshiny weekend...x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/07/2013 21:25

Well still no AF, no spotting, nothing.

Badhairday76 · 07/07/2013 21:17

Hi everybody. I'm def out for this month cos AF arrived this afternoon so consoled myself with a few beers in the sun today which felt great. I don't feel as sad as I thought I would, actually - must be this glorious weather! Got the school holidays coming up and am busy making plans. Going to do my best not to symptom spot and check CM obsessively this month....Congrats to all of you with BFPs - fabulous news!

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 07/07/2013 20:32

Hooray, hooray, hooray JBrd!! (I was lurking on the October2013 thread so we were due at a similar time. It was you, wasn't it?). Fantastic news Grin

Fingers crossed for you today saggy. Hope AF has stayed away.

I am currently CD7, but got a High on the CBFM this morning (?). Not sure what all that is about. Although I have ovulated on CD10 before, so not beyond the realms of possibility, I suppose. I was hoping for a few days grace before the Shagathon commenced, as I am full of cold Blush. But as we have a houseful next weekend, an early Ov would be pretty handy...

missmakesstuff · 07/07/2013 20:16

Damn right katatonic...will be joining you in that wine...although wish I was restrained and kept it to a glass.....good for you with the gym - I just can't find the time but running is easy to fit in.

TMI alertI have had loads of discharge too, it is very unusual at this stage. obsesses thoughtfully whilst knocking back second glass of fizzy chardonnay

Hello all, isn't this sun glorious! We have spent the day at the park after doing race for life, all the signs on peoples backs made me very tearful, I am very emotional, which can either be symptoms of pregnancy or AF!
Your day sounded great Sal, even though af due on tues I have been drinking as.it is summer and it would be rude not to. There isn't any crossing over even if there is a chance of a bfp anyway.at this early stage, I don't worry about it. Was pretty cavalier with dd too actually, I hope I can be as relaxed the next time round but I am sure having the mc will make me more nervous.
nearly I am sure you will be able to get back to running, I would probably have stopped too, currently I am on week 4 but I skipped a week when I had.my period last as I felt wretched, hoping when if af arrives this time I can get through the week, it is getting harder but feels good, I want to be able to run for 30mins three times a week, I have lost a few extra lbs doing it too, hope that keeps up!
I have lots to keep busy with till Tuesday, will test Fri if af not here but never been late before so will need so serious threats of fish throwing! I still have a feeling but not so sicky this morn, still tired but that could be work and those opk having a line got my hopes up but I think was just an odd lh surge. I have one stick left to pee on, will try to hold back!
Right, off to bath dd and plan a Viking day activity for yr 8 tomorrow, plus urban arts on weds, trip on.thurs and tonnes more to do besides, hopefully all taking my mind of poas!

Sal1977 · 07/07/2013 12:24

Hi hi hi!

Living all the BFPs although very green with jealousy!!

Had a great time yesterday at the Olympic Park at an all day music event with Vampire Weekend and Mumford and Sons. I managed to knock back half a dozen vodka and lemonades and 10 fags (gave up a year ago) and it felt great to let my hair down and feel like I did 10 years ago before all this TTC and grown up bollocks!

Currently heading back to Plymouth in a car with no air con with feet out the window. DH thinks he's spending the afternoon watching the tennis....well, he's got a little 'job' to do first!! Grin

My sister was talking to her SIL about babies and she lived in Hong Kong for years and all her friends were TTC in their 40's and as they had private medical out there were prescribed a drug (I would imagine its clomid) and all got knocked up, many with twins! My sis is gonna find out what drugs it was for me....,,

Thoughts on self-prescribing to win a baby...?

I'm going to wait. I've been late before, so a few days won't matter, and I'm ignoring until then. I get like this every month or so, and then AF hits. It's almost nice to have a day or two of optimism before it all comes crashing down! Confused

nearlyreadytopop · 06/07/2013 23:55

saggy everything crossed (incl legs) for you. are you going to test tomorrow or wait until Friday?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 06/07/2013 23:46

Cross everything not your legs for me girls! AF due tomorrow. My random spotting last week lasted 3 days then stopped and currently I haven't had any of my usual pre AF symptoms. touch wood I'm sure ill jynx her into appearing now, but I'm hanging onto hope... by my fingernails

nearlyreadytopop · 06/07/2013 23:44

hi missmakes its awful tbh. I felt so sick and tired today combined with the bleeding and I just wanted to cry. telling myself that its not detrimental to the pregnancy only helps a little. sorry to moan.
I was doing c25k but stopped last week when I had the first bleed. I actually really miss it! Thinking positively I will start again in feb after new baby arrivesSmile

Badhairday76 · 06/07/2013 20:59

Thanks Triplespin but I think I'm out for this month. I only had a very small glass of wine though (so guess I haven't TOTALLY given up all hope....) Managed to eat a humongous mountain of Chinese food though, prompting my DP to raise his eyebrows and ask if I was eating for two....cheeky git!

missmakesstuff · 06/07/2013 19:23

Congrats jbird on your news, that is lovely. I told dh today about my odd feelings and he seemed pleased. Fingers crossed for Tuesday, will be astounded if Not Trying has actually resulted in a bfp, although now I have said it out loud I am sure that has jinxed it.

That must be a worry nearly I hope things settle down soon. Were you the one doing c25k? Are you still running if so?
