The July BFP bus - all aboard the lucky number 7

Captain I usually test at about 6am during the week. Anything else is just not possible for me (and once I get a smiley I'll try when I'm back home,...although that might have to be a little after I get back). I leave the house at 7.15am and don't get back before 6pm most days. I generally can't just go and pee whenever I want at school, so I can go at break and lunchtime and then have to wait until the end of school,...really need to pee before I leave work, since commute takes me about an hour. Don't want to test at work.
So far, that's been absolutely fine and I've had a smiley face each cycle I've been using them. However, I am using cb, because I can't be bothered with the hassle of comparing lines.

I got my smiley face at 11 this morning. It was my fmu though.

captain i tested this month at about 4pm ish. Im always up during the night for the toilet anyway! When i got my +ves this month i didnt leave it 4 hours. More like 2, or 3 if i could hold on! Lol.

I did write out a longet post this morning but the damn thing didnt go on properly so hello to the new ladies. Sorry af has got you. Hopefully this bus will be lucky for you.

Im 4dpo so nothing new here really. Its DH birthday today so had some family round (inc his sisters 8month old - v cute!) and im shattered now!

Hi all, had a little break and feeling more positive this month. also had a scan and nothing wrong physically so just waiting to do blood tests now. However DTD this month off to a bad start as have thrush - first time since repeat episodes during pregnancy with DD). Also getting very confused with trying out IC OPKs this month - don't seem to be seeing any line at all unless I really strain my eyes.

Question - with OPKs do people test in morning or later in day? I've read that it should be later in day as that's when your surge first appears but also the tests say to not have urinated for 4 hours beforehand (which would be pretty impossible for weak bladdered me) so thinking morning is probably the better option. When do others test?

Thanks, littlemachine. It wasn't after sex, it just happened. It's really frustrating my cycle has been such a mess. First six weeks before ov happened and now this!

Blue I've been off the pill since December and I think my cycles are only JUST starting to get back to normal.
Personally I wouldn't bother going to the doctor because they will probably tell you this is normal after coming off the pill... But if you're really worried then maybe go just to put your mind at ease xx

It can take some time for your body to settle into its own rhythms and I don't think it would be unusual to bleed a bit randomly at first blue. That said, if you're worried there's no harm in getting yourself checked. Was it bleeding after sex? I had that this month, possibly just from being a bit enthusiastic.

It's my first cycle after stopping the pill, but I'm sure I had ov 4-5 days ago. I'm not sure if it warrants a visit to the GP on Monday or not.

good luck thatssofunny sounds like you have dtd at the right time I won't give up dtd though, I think I've given up to early some months so this month im going to try and keep it up until af arrives or get a bfp. I also think I've been making the mistake of going to the bathroom to soon after dtd so going to lay still for at least an hour

I read on the cb website the other day that sperm only has 15cm to swim until they meet there destination but because they are so small it's the same as an human swimming 64km.

blueamber I'm hoping so. I put another potential bbt rise for tomorrow into Fertilityfriend and based on that, it put ov day on cd15. My dad has been most unhelpful on the phone, telling me that I "just need to relax". Unlike my mum, he's not aware that we've been trying on and off for the past 2 1/2 years and trying properly since January. Both my sister and I were "happy accidents".

On the non-ttc front, we are having our house done up and I've spent the week choosing colours for the hallway and thinking about which stones I want for the new driveway. Now I just need to win the lottery to get the money to have our extension built properly. I want a proper big bedroom with an ensuite shower room,...and a skylight. It's also supposed to lead out into the garden.

Thatssofunny, sounds like you caught the right time. I think with them advanced opks the first day you test they use as a low anyway? Maybe that's why you didn't get any highs. It was the same with me. I got three lows, but from reading the lines on the stick I saw there was a slight lh line, so I knew ov wouldn't be far away. I went straight to peak/ smily face on the fourth day.

So day 2, ttc#3, cycle 2

Officially in 2ww now, about a week earlier than expected. Tried the advanced opks this month. Got two days of no smiley and the straight away a proper one. No flashing smiley for me this time. Anyway, got smiley on cd15, while last month it was cd 20. Bbt rise on cd16. We managed to dtd on cd10, cd12, cd13 and cd15. DP was just too tired yesterday. It's cd17 today, temp has risen further this morning. Should we try again or would it be a bit pointless? I'm slightly confused now, since my temps didn't rise until two days after the smiley last cycle. I don't wanna wait again. Waahhhh...
