P.s. do we need a new list?!? Wink I loves a list!

Bunnygirlie · 13/06/2013 18:42

Hello barking kuma boom and thunder

Good to see you back thunder how are you?

Thundercatsarego · 13/06/2013 17:53

Hello everyone

Remember me?

I too have been on a bit of a mn sabbatical due to losing the plot one too many times but I am now back and feeling positive- whoop! And skip!

I am sorry to read through all of the medical staff and lovely pet woes, broken willies and upsetting blogs.

As for me I did as I planned and ponothing this month. Feeling strangely calm as a result honest!

MrsB00Mbastic · 13/06/2013 14:09

sid in agreement with barking, that nurse was bang out of order! If I were you I'd complain/mention it to your surgery, she shouldn't have made you feel like that. Coming from someone who actually does speculum/vaginal examinations (a lot!), I'm well aware of how uncomfortable/weird they can be and have absolutely nothing in common with DTD! I would NEVER be so bloody rude or insensitive!

Oh and I'm sure the blog is lovely but I just can't bring myself to be anything but bitter today so will avoid it until I'm feeling more generous Grin

boodle hello stranger! Nice to see you popping by! Hope all is well with you x

barking don't get me started with people convenience-ttc'ing. AAARGH. (Although saw one of the MNers from an old 'ttc after MC' thread had commented - direct and to the point Grin)

Right, got to go have academic supervision about data synthesis. BLART. My life is mega exciting at the moment, can't even DTD to break the monotony Hmm

Have a good day y'all xxx

IamKuma · 13/06/2013 09:25

happy I use an app called ovuview, which is pretty good. Can't see ovufriend in the Play store, so perhaps its the same thing for a different platform? Don't dare to install another as my 2.5 year old phone is barely surviving and can't really afford another at the mo....

bunny I'm in the same place as you (but only cycle 5), CD 23 today and annoyed at myself for wishing my life away but just want to get AF out the way so we can start a new cycle. Already have premenstrual rage which doesn't bode well for the weekend as the outlaws are coming up and I find them challenging at the best of times...

Wishing everybody a good stress free day!

barkingtreefrog · 13/06/2013 00:09

Hi boodle!!! Smile

barkingtreefrog · 13/06/2013 00:09

sid what that nurse said is outrageous!!! What has your reaction to a smear, when something cold and horrible is suddenly shoved up you, have in common with dtd with the man you love!?! I'm Angry on your behalf!

Bunnygirlie · 12/06/2013 22:34

Good to see you boodle

sid that blog is really sweet, cannot imagine how I'm gonna feel if it ever happens!

SidneyBristow · 12/06/2013 22:18
  • forgot to mention there's a lot of God talk within the whole TTC stuff, so if that sort of thing isn't your bag, then just skip over those parts! Smile
SidneyBristow · 12/06/2013 21:22

Hi ladies. In a grump over here too, mainly due to something idiotic DH said but also bc of the stupid smear test I had today. The nurse was nice but it was all very awkward and she made a comment that got under my skin. I said I was really ticklish and to please not be surprised if I jumped or tensed up during the exam, to which she asked how on earth I planned to get pregnant if I couldn't stand to be touched down there. Really? I was mortified, and then all the more Annoyed with myself for trying to make an awkward situation less awkward for us both by being chatty, when really she should've been the one setting me at ease. Just really annoyed at how it all went and that I've let it get to me. Tonight we're supposed to DTD and I'm not sure I even want to.

Read this on the blog I mentioned recently, and thought I'd share it- warning, it made me teary, thinking of how badly we all want this, but on my opinion she's so gracious that I can only be happy for her & her husband, no room for jealousy (ok maybe A little). I found it encouraging but please don't click the link if you are feeling fragile - save it for another time. Anyway: www.thesmallthingsblog.com/

Grr barking re your laundry, my DH would've wound up with a paint can tipped over his head!!

happy will try your suggestion on fertility friend, am sure I'm just. Overlooking something really simple! x

Boodle9 · 12/06/2013 21:00

Just a quick swing in to say hello and I hope everyone is as well as can be. I'm still on a mumsnet sabbatical but breaking it briefly to just say I'm alive and lurking.

Peace out, Berries!

Bunnygirlie · 12/06/2013 20:50

Grrrrr from me too!

So Whassup ladies? I have lost track of you all again!

Cycle 13, CD22 here, i can't believe AF is just round the corner again!

Foodylicious · 12/06/2013 20:17

Grrrr indeed barking

CharmingCats · 12/06/2013 18:44

That thread annoyed me too, but am glad that so many people posted that you cannot plan that way. One even said that these thread make her laugh...

barkingtreefrog · 12/06/2013 18:15

Grrrrr Angry. Why do I even click on these threads when I know they're going to wind me up?!?!

happy I've given up for today I think. Although I haven't cleared up yet...

It started raining on my washing earlier, just when the bedding was probably dry and could have been put straight back on the bed. DP noticed it was raining but spent 5 minutes shouting upstairs to the bathroom (I had the radio on while painting) to ask me whether I wanted him to take the washing in as it was raining. I resisted pointing out that it would have more helpful to bring the washing in, rather than shout up the stairs while it got wet... However I feel very old and like my mother when I get concerned about whether I've managed to dry my washing or not...

Hello all!
Sid not sure about resetting FF but if you enter the 1st day of your current cycle it should automatically go to cd1? Have you tried clicking on the date AF started and choosing from the 'Menses' drop down box (underneath) where you put your temp? On that note has anyone tried Ovufriend to track their cycles? Read about it on another thread so giving it a go alongside FF.
Barking how's the painting going? Hate glossing too. Going to do a quick 60 minute make over on the living room this eve. House is only a year old but never been happy with the way we set it up or the terrible B and Q paint we used to do a feature wall m My dad came down yesterday and put up lovely new wallpaper over the bad paint and is coming back this eve to help me switch everything around (DP doesn't do DIY!) so a busy evening for me. Have a good one all!

barkingtreefrog · 12/06/2013 17:14

sid are you talking about Fertility Friend? Have you put your last AF dates in?

I'm in a grump today. Tired (DP still isn't sleeping well) and it's my day off, but usually when I get my planning done and I'm too tired to concentrate on it so just keep wasting time online/falling asleep on the laptop.

In more productive news I have glossed the bathroom. I hate gloss painting. The bathroom was done at Easter (well, new bath and tiles) and I still haven't finished painting it... Even more depressingly, I thought I was using one coat gloss. I wasn't. Most of it has now had three coats but I'll losing the will to live and I haven't even done the final coat of emulsion yet.....

In happier news I went for a run with a friend and the dog this morning and did 5k in less than 30 minutes for the first time since I started running again Smile. That was my goal when I started the c25k program 9 weeks ago so now I can start working on running further and faster and I'll be fell racing again before I know it Grin.

Barking pooch seems to be doing well, v tired but eating normally & playing in spurts so that's good. He's lost weight & they shaved him partially so that + hideous Frankenstein incision makes him look v pitiful indeed. Just so glad to have him home though.

Gill not long to go before your consult! Can't imagine cycling 1000 miles, good for your husband! Imagine you'll both need a holiday after such intense training!

Tally ridiculous about your dr, that's poor. Bunny fx for you that your records arrive really quickly & DH's sample is a good one!

CD12 here today and shag marathon to get underway this evening. I'm having really weird cramps and my lower back aches, v strange for me, not at all sure what's going on. Has been like this for 2 days now. CBFM = low still. Wish me luck for my first UK smear test!

*question about FF: does anyone know how to reset the cycle? apparently I started one months ago and abandoned it. I've started temping in earnest now but it annoys me that FF thinks I'm on CD 207. Can't find a reset feature anywhere! Help!

Bunnygirlie · 12/06/2013 08:35

Morning berries! How are we today?

I registered with my new doctors Monday, could take 2-3 weeks to get my records though. DH has his third jizz test next week, FX the sample is ok this time and they can give us some results! Once they are in I guess I will go and meet doctor and ask for a referral!

MrsB00Mbastic · 12/06/2013 08:24

Glad she was helpful Tally although more waiting sucks. But hey, we're all pretty good at waiting around here...!

Gil glad you've got your referral Grin - I'm also counting down to July for my next consultant appt. Not so long now.. And wow, impressed with your DH!

Kitty why do OH's do that? Mine also ganged up on my at the appt and told me I was being overdramatic. Cue massive argument in carpark.. I'm still annoyed that he's going to be in Spain visiting his mum for my next appt though, I feel like he's started seeing things from my point of view now and would be good back-up this time (he's now irritated at how long everything's taking and how nobody ever gets back to us with results so has decided they're useless Smile )

Refusing to read the instadiffer Lucy-Jo story because I know it will make me angry!

Right, better walk the wagger and then get myself to the library for a day of utter boredom fun dissertation writing!

Have a good day everyone Grin

barkingtreefrog · 12/06/2013 07:31

How's the woofer doing now sid?

OP posts:
Tallyra · 12/06/2013 00:54

yay for your referral gil, and boo to smears. but I've had lletz treatment for abnormal cells so I'm pretty pleased that I went regularly.

I was sent to the wrong clinic because the silly gp couldn't be bothered to write a proper letter I think, so just sent a badly dictated one to the first place she thought of. but at least they were nice. feeling much more positive about the help offered with scans - I spent a week trying to get one at 8 weeks last time knowing that was the danger time for me, only to be told by the epu that they don't do reassurance scans... eventually got back to the consultant I saw in hospital the last 2 times who slotted me in for the inevitable sad scan, but neither of us were surprised. I was however surprised by the speed they had me admitted to be sorted because of my history of missed mc and no symptoms, plus the fact I was about to go on holiday to Scotland - she didn't want me suddenly Mc-ing on the isle of Skye. I was very grateful!

Gillster · 11/06/2013 23:04

Evening all! Everything seems fairly calm in here at the moment. Glad that appointments have been attended and pets are on the mend.
Currently in middle of 2WW [yawn] and bored. DH has been away since Friday and is in the process of cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End with a bunch of other loons sporty people. I'm popping over to Liverpool tomorrow to have a quick catch up with him. It's a good job it was shag week last week, don't think he'd have much to give after cycling nearly 1000 miles in 9 days! Feel very proud of him but pleased it is just about over as feel that cycling has dominated the weekends since Christmas and have been limited to planning anything. Going to meet him at Land's End on Sunday and we'll then have a few days on holiday in Cornwall & Devon, without the bike! Smile

Finally have referral appointment to see a second consultant about the polyp - 2nd July, so at least the wheels are in motion again.

Bunnygirlie · 11/06/2013 22:09

Ugh I've just read about that instadiffer too, is it wrong that I want to lunch her smug face?!?

Think I'm in for a short cycle, (currently CD21), evil witches cousin appears to be rearing her uglyass head! Sad Angry

CharmingCats · 11/06/2013 21:18

I was also annoyed by the Lucy-jo instadiffer story. She goes on to say that she feels bad as so many of her friends have struggled ..... Can't feel that bad, though, can she?
