It's time for some more grads!!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months NO instadiffers, must have a special pot)

Hi Sid, yes it's good to snag a toy boy and he's usually got plenty of energy to DTD. Looking forward to his return on Saturday after being away for 3 weeks with work Wink. In terms of going to the GP, I went at about the 10 month mark but told her we'd been trying for about 15 months. It wasn't entirely a lie as we hadn't used contraception for this amount of time but DH had been working away a lot so wasn't always around at the critical times. If you hadn't already seen your GP I'd have advised adding on a few months (advice given by one of my 38 year old friends). I think it really depends which postcode you live in as one friend in Liverpool got referred very quickly and was about to try IVF after 2 years of trying when she fell pregnant using clomid. Another friend in Hertfordshire really struggled to get seen quickly and would only have been offered IVF after 3 years! Both were 37/38. She went private in the end, paid for IVF and is now 13 weeks pregnant Smile. How long have you been trying? Maybe worth pushing for some blood tests at least to start the ball rolling? I went to GP at start of Jan but blood tests take a couple of months, then sperm test takes a few weeks then it was a month before consultant appointment and still having final tests as a result of that. I think you've just got to be firm and insist on the blood tests as you can still be TTC when they go on. Since going to the GP initially I feel like things have gone fairly quickly but it's still nearly 5 months ago. Good luck!

Hi Sid, good effort on the shag marathon! I have no clue about the ovulation thing I'm afraid, but hope it's not anovulatory. If your cycles are regular it seems unlikely, maybe it's more an issue with the sticks than your cycle? Hope so and that the bonkathon has got you diffed! What Xray did you have? and did you tell the radiologist you were ttc? I can't imagine it would do too much harm at such an early stage in the cycle, I think the radiation is more an issue is more when cells are dividing rapidly once the egg's been fertilised, not before.

Also (I'm just nosy) why would a mooncup make your period lighter??

Barking sorry that you're literally surrounded. Hope you don't feel too ganged up on.

Just been out with the badly trained dog and a new frisbee for some fresh air/exercise, turns out she's scared of frisbees and ran away and hid for half an hour. Only slightly embarrassing in front of all the well behaved dogs in the park!

SidneyBristow · 20/05/2013 09:20

morning berries, sorry for those berries that AF has hunted down Angry, it all seems so bloody unfair when there are bumps everywhere. I've started choosing to believe that they all tried for months/years in a bid to not feel so envious, but really most of the time I just want them to get out of my eyesight! Barking you have my sympathies re: your neighbors. At least you know your block is child-friendly, I guess...

Welcome Gillster, nice to have a new berry around! Good on you for snagging a toy boy Wink Will keep my fx for you that info re: your polyp removal comes soon. If it's not too nosy, when did your GP initiate all your tests? I'm 38 and mine seems in no hurry to move things forward, she wants me to get to the 14 month mark. Not sure if this is normal, or if she thinks all we need is time...?

Barking I like your positivity; might need to borrow some in the coming days.

DH's "shag til we die" plan is still on; today is CD17 and we've DTD all but the first two days after AF left. Some days it's fun and others it's demoralizing. Here's where the universe is playing mindgames...for the first time ever since tracking ov, I've not gotten a Peak reading on CBFM, just Highs for about 8 days now. IC OPK strips have always been hard for me to read, but for a couple of days last week they were dark, but not as dark as control line, so...?? My cycles are extreeemely regular and I don't know if this is an anovulatory cycle (which would be disgustingly ironic), or if I'm just going to ovulate really late. Any ideas?

My period last month was really light, which I put down to it being the first time I"d used a Mooncup (not so uncommon from what I've read). I've taken several pg tests and all were neg. I can't see how it'd be possible, but if I am, I'm kind of concerned bc I had xrays a few days into this cycle. Confused

MrsB00Mbastic · 20/05/2013 08:54

Morning berries!

Hi gil, welcome to the sofa..or the pouffe, depending on your mindset and CD!

bunny, thunder 12 months here too. And I know how you feel about the ex-due date anniversary thunder, every so often I remember that I should would have had a 2 month old by now. Hurts when I see people with babies around that age Sad I know there's no point dwelling on what could have been but sometimes it's impossible not to.

scone no idea about temps I'm afraid, but one of the experts will be along shortly I'm sure!

tally sounds like they're treating you badly - hope you manage to get something sorted! Sock it to em!

More essay. Had to cancel my place on a conference I was really looking forward to, and let my friend down because I have to write bloody essays instead of giving her a lift. Feel bad and wish I could organise my life a bit better but there just never seems to be any time. And then I feel even worse in case stress/bad work hour patterns is contributing to stopping us getting diffed.

Thundercatsarego · 20/05/2013 08:28

Morning all

blind the pouffe of poss is no place for me at cd2. You hang on in there a bit and I'll jump on in a week or so.

tally good luck today re the job. Let us know what happens. You're right in sticking up for yourself when they are pushing you around.

bunny it's 12months for me too. Its so crap. Don't delay the meltdown, deny it! With cocktails.

Come on lucky June!

sconeoclock · 20/05/2013 08:13

Morning berries, and welcome gill

Question for bbt charters, my temp has gone back below the line yesterday and today which is only 4 & 5 dpo, I though this didn't happen until AF was on her way but I'm not due for another 10 days.
Anyone else had this?

Gillster · 19/05/2013 22:52

Thanks for all the welcome messages ladies, I'm pleased to have joined the group. There does seem to be a lot of babies/bumps about which is hard. I guess we probably notice it a bit more because it's something we want so badly. Have a couple of friends who tried for over two years and have either just had a baby or are pregnant so that gives me hope. We moved house last October and the previous owners left the children's slide and swings in the garden. I'm hoping to be able to put them to good use at some point in the non too distant future!!! Sleep well ladies. Let's have a positive week.

Bunnygirlie · 19/05/2013 22:25

Welcome Gil to our merry little gang!
Goose - I'm in Spain, with friends so no chance to DTD, not in the mood either, why should do it when DH wants to, he won't do it when we need to!!!
Oops yes I meant Thunder, damn typing on this stoopid tiny phone!
Barking-yuck you are surrounded. My colleagues wife had her baby last week and my friend will have her fourth on weds!!!

Think I have started spotting so AF will be here in a few days, that will make it 12 months of TTC! What a big pile of *%#

Tallyra · 19/05/2013 22:19

Hi gil. sorry for ignoring you. I'm not very good at keeping up to date with the thread and usually end up commenting on the last couple of posts, but I'm not doing it on purpose, it's the app's fault, honest!
Welcome!

Tallyra · 19/05/2013 22:18

thanks for the positivity goosey. I'm hoping my job doesn't change right out from under me this week, so it could go either way. they are destroying my room in a bid to make better toilets for the pupils and instead of finding me another room or even creating another one using the extra large unused staff room they want to surreptitiously turn me from a repro tech into an office admin bunny. I wrote an email explaining why it was a bad idea and that I wanted more money if they couldn't be bothered to find me my own room and then promptly went home with food poisoning. So please keep your fingers crossed for me! What I would dearly love is to get myself sorted, bfp and mat leave out of there if they fuck with the job too much. Probably too much to ask for though.Sad

BlindKitty · 19/05/2013 21:04

yes, I think carbon monoxidewill just alienate people with their midwives.

Re reportibg people, I think I might have done it the other day so sorry in advance!!!

barking and thunder I'm clearly hogging the pouffe of possibility! Come on, I'll squidge up for you, I'm brimming with optimism atm which will last precisely another week

sconeoclock · 19/05/2013 20:46

Just a quick hello, very busy weekend in the tea shop, knackered, just popped in quickly, will catch up later, hope you have all had a good weekend.

Thundercatsarego · 19/05/2013 20:35

Sod it barking I'm coming with you!

barkingtreefrog · 19/05/2013 20:20

I'm skipping, Thunder, I'm skipping!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

This is the cycle of positivity - nothing is going to knock me off my yellow brick road!!!! Grin

Thundercatsarego · 19/05/2013 18:57

Thanks for the Wine girls.

goose it's pretty easily treated- it's just a matter of working out how much synthetic hormone to take to get the levels right- and every change takes 6 weeks to monitor. So it's just more waiting around- like we all are doing here pretty much. It sucks. And it doesn't help that I should be having the baby that wasn't to be this month either.

barking they have sent you over the edge. It's a conspiracy to make you go la la I reckon. You keep skipping my friend- skip for your life....SKIP FOR YOUR LIFE!!

barkingtreefrog · 19/05/2013 18:56

I think they moved in a couple of weeks ago but I only saw them both (and the bump) today. I was coming back from the corner shop with a box of tampons in hand as they were coming out of the house. Kinda rubbed it in a little!!

OP posts:
GooseyD · 19/05/2013 18:42

And I thought it couldn't get more in your face than the family next door you described earlier! Did they literally move in this weekend? How ridiculous.

barkingtreefrog · 19/05/2013 18:36

I'm surrounded!!! New couple just moved in two doors down, she has a huge bump. So that's two neighbours with bumps, one on either side, a colleague who squeals every time she feels a kick, a pg SiL and 2 pg friends close by, one pg with twins.

And that doesn't count the ones on facebook or those I know but don't have to see all the time.

My turn next, yes? Grin

Thunder come with me down the yellow brick road of positivity!!!

^^

GooseyD · 19/05/2013 18:34

Bunny you asked who is approaching AF/POAS... I am (prob Tues) but I don't expect anything as I don't think the HSG miracle works when you have a short LP

GooseyD · 19/05/2013 18:32

Ah Thunder it's just awful when it gets on top of you like that. First day of AF I avoid thinking about pretty much ANYTHING and retreat to the bath or some innocuous film with a Brew or a Wine. I don't know much about thyroid issues, how easy is it to fix blood levels?

happylass · 19/05/2013 18:29

Hi Gil and welcome. Make yourself at home!
Bunny I think it was Thunder who's been had by AF. Nobody got me apart from DP who can't seem to leave me alone today!!
So sorry you're feeling rubbish Thunder. Have some Wine

Thundercatsarego · 19/05/2013 18:23

Hi gil and welcome.

I agree- too big brothery testing pg to see if they're lying about smoking. Altho I know they say it is also to monitor if they're being exposed to carbon monoxide in any form.

goosey please don't report me!

I am so fed up. Honestly completely sick of this whole f*ing ttc game. Have lost all perspective and positivity.

Bunnygirlie · 19/05/2013 18:23

Ugh to all the bumps grrrrrr

Sorry she got you happy, think she is on her way to me, knowing my luck she will get me on the plane Angry

GooseyD · 19/05/2013 18:15

Ah-ha, now no longer on my phone and can type properly! Thunder I almost reported a comment of yours by accident, and failed to get on the train I should have done, I think I should ban myself from mn when out and about! Smile

Hi Tally - hope next week is better at work than last!

Bunny where are you on hols by the way? Is this the holiday in small apartment with lots of people?

GooseyD · 19/05/2013 17:48
