barking I know I said it wasn't painful but then I did take co-codamol. I also didn't feel well enough for work the rest of the day. Felt absolutely fine the next day though.

Extreme pain, discharge or high temp though you need to call the doc x

Bunnygirlie · 23/05/2013 22:08

sid DTD every day Shock we can barely do it every month lol

goose how you doing?

barking oh gosh hun, hope the pain eases off soon. Hugs!

DH and me ok today, he has made his next appt for jizz test which is luckily after shag week!

I have been vile at work today, hopefully my colleagues just think it was first day back blues rather than just being a moody cow!

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 21:39

Cats I'd be interested in the sticks if you're selling then cheap, already got a cbfm Smile .

GP called back. She said they need to look at me. Got an appointment at 11.30.

Sending good vibes barking

CharmingCats · 23/05/2013 21:32

barking hope you're on the phone or on the way to hospital. Take care, even if it's nothing, it's best to get it checked.

Would any of you be interested in my cbfm? I've used it for one cycle, but as it's now cd50 and it's only suitable for cycles of up to 42 days, I don't think it's for me. I also have an unopened pack of 20 sticks that I bought for next cycle. And lo, nothing. Make me an offer and I'll post them.

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 21:26

I called the 'out of hours GP cooperative' which is where you get directed to when the GP surgery is closed. A lady took my details and is calling me back. This is WAY worse than any period pain I've had before. 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen haven't touched it at all and it's too painful to walk.

BoodIeBee · 23/05/2013 21:20

barking when I had my HSG the other week they told me that if I had pain in the evening I should go to A&E due to risk of infection. Not trying to worry you but you need to get looked at ASAP. X

Tallyra · 23/05/2013 21:16

is it worth calling NHS direct? it sounds very painful, possibly similar to the cramping aftery erpc, when they fiddled around after the mc. I would call for some proper advice if it's worse than you have had before. Sad

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 21:12

He said it would be the emergency number after 6.30 but he'd leave notes on my file to say he'd spoken to me. He said if it hadn't subdued or it got worse they would take a look at me.
It's still really painful, and moving at all makes me cry out in pain. It's just about tolerable if I stay totally still. DP says I look pale and suggested he should take me to hospital. I think I'll call the out of hours number for the doctor.

Gillster · 23/05/2013 20:53

Compared to my own experience of HSG on Tuesday, this sounds horrific Barking. I took 2 pain killers beforehand and hardly felt anything afterwards. They told me to contact them if I had prolonged bad pains or a discharge as it would indicate an infection. I wouldn't worry about making a fuss, just call docs again if no better. Hope you get sorted soon. Flowers

GooseyD · 23/05/2013 20:41

hmm... did he know that it would be in emergency hours in an hour's time? If so he must have meant to call anyway right? Did he say what he'd want you to do if pains hadn't gone?

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 20:14

Call back. But it'a the emergency hours now and I don't want to make a fuss.

OP posts:
GooseyD · 23/05/2013 20:10

Poor you! What did the doctor say to do if no better in an hour?

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 19:54

Cramps no better. An hour ago was doubled over in pain and called the doctor. He said to take more painkillers and see how it was in an hour. It's no better. Was supposed to be going straight from work (parents meeting about a residential trip) to meet DP and a bunch of friends at a restaurant but called him to say I was going home. He said he was coming home if I wasn't well and has now topped up the painkiller supply, microwaved the wheat bag and is lighting a fire Smile .

Still in a lot of pain and shivering. Wheatbag helping slightly. Was in tears by the time I'd walked from school to my car as it hurt so much. I don't get period cramps this bad Confused .

Hi Boom, took so long typing my post I missed yours completely. Thanks for the sympathy and hugs, it really does help to rant here!!
Envy you your child free friend, they are rare to come by these days! Have a lovely evening, is it sunny there?

GooseyD · 23/05/2013 19:02

Hi Berries, thanks for all your support today - I think as a result of my rants at you lot I managed not to blubber to my colleagues for which I am truly thankful!

Scone and Barking you are right, it probably is largely hormonal glasses - I hate the way AF can just turn me into a monster. In general I've learnt to do no thinking or talking (and I should probably add no internet posting!) about anything but the easiest and most pleasant things while the I'm sunk in that PMT pit of rage, paranoia and tendency to melodrama! Just super bad timing.

Bunny hope you and your OH have a better evening tonight.

Sid - sorry to hear you've got unsympathetic GP. Good idea to go straight back. Hope you won't ever get to the stage of having to look at private treatment. Is it really more expensive if you're older?? I'm 38 and if NHS don't have funding to monitor the Clomid cycles we're thinking of going private for that bit.

Thunder - I think the every day versus every other day argument is meant to rest on sperm test (according to internet!) As in if he has high count and strong swimmers or whatever they don't need a day to recoup between. I was thinking of going to Dr Google tonight to try and work that one out. Not that we ever get anywhere near ed or eod either Tally!

Barking sorry to hear your HSG was painful - cramps any better yet?

MrsB00Mbastic · 23/05/2013 18:47

Ooops pressed post too soon!

In common with all the not-eod'ers, we definitely don't manage to do the deed as much as some of you! It's all a bit half-hearted really, I've given up any hope of getting pg before getting some sort of help. Day 44 here, and I think we've only dtd once in the past week..although really, is there any point still worrying about it this far into a cycle?

goosey I'm so sorry you're having a rubbish time. Sure the hormonal craziness isn't helping your situation. I'd get the clomid and get started on it personally, but of course it depends on how things are with your DP. Hope things get better on that front too, sending you hugs. We're all here if you need to rant x

Sid sympathy on the newborn neighbour!

Getting ready to go out for a post essay-hand-in bottle glass of Wine and some gossip with a thankfully child-free friend! Hooray!

MrsB00Mbastic · 23/05/2013 18:39

barking the leaflet they gave me said period-like cramps were a likely after-effect!

Thundercatsarego · 23/05/2013 18:13

Oh and take some good drugs for the pain?

Thundercatsarego · 23/05/2013 18:11

Get off dr google immediately. Dr google is actually an idiot.

What did they say there today? Can you give the clinic a quick call to put your mind at rest? It doesn't sound that surprising to me that there is some cramping after all that prodding and poking but I don't know about this stuff so can you ring someone who does?

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 18:08

Tried that option thunder and it hasn't helped Sad .

Now scaring myself silly on Dr Google as it isn't supposed to hurt afterwards unless you've got an infection. It bloody hurts.

OP posts:
Thundercatsarego · 23/05/2013 18:06

tally we never manage to dtd eod either. It's a mahoosive effort to do it lots of shag week too. This cycle once af buggers off we have both resolved to just try as much as we can (and hope that is more than twice like this last cycle!)

barking excellent news on it all looking clear but poor you on the af cramps. Can you have a big old poo and see if it helps?!

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2013 17:53

tally we managed it twice last cycle! He was away, I was ill, we were away with friends in a youth hostel and then he was ill and I was so 'what's the point?' over the 8 day LP anyway that it just didn't happen as I wasn't pushing it. We usually manage a bit better but we've tried the 'every other day' way a few times (mainly before I realised the short LP issue) and never managed to completely keep it up though the month. There's usually a concentration of effort during shag week though.

goose was the argument really that bad or do you have hormone glasses on and might see it differently in a few days?

In my little world I had my hsg today. Not a very pleasant experience but not hugely painful, just very uncomfortable when she couldn't get the tube to go round the corner. She tried inflating the balloon but it wasn't in far enough so had to push around a bit more. I saw the screen and she said both sides seemed to be clear so that's good news. She said the consultant would be looking at the xrays in far more detail and would talk to me at my appointment.

I've had what feels like horrible period pain all day since. Almost doubled over. Maybe I'm being melodramatic and I just need a good poo Blush .

Tallyra · 23/05/2013 16:47

guys, I'm reading all of your 'every other day' stories and literally feeling tired. We manage it about twice in shag week and lucky if we do it any other time in the month. how do you do it? dh I'd on silly shifts, but even when he's on 'normal' days one or other of us is too tired or dh falls asleep on the sofa and turns into a grump monster I wouldn't even suggest it to. Shock
