It's time for some more grads!!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months NO instadiffers, must have a special pot)

OP posts:

Ladies, I am a long lost Elderberry from a few threads back, logging back in - can I please be allowed to rejoin the lovely gang of longer term ttc'ers?

I hit the ttc-for-12-months mark back in April and I think the fact it was approaching sent me off into a world of denial for a bit - sorry I deserted and hello those of you still around (barking and boodle? twinkle and happy?) I also have had the most horrendous period paid since Jan which has been accompanied by vomiting and diarrhoea every month - so really felt like I was being dealt with a very sh't hand in life which has taken me a while to come to terms with.

Have now entered a world of pelvic exams, fanny cams, gynaecologist apptmts, infinite blood tests and gp apptmts to work out what's going on. Latest advice is I might need a laparoscopy.

I have a male boss at work and I know I'm going to have to have an awkward conversation some time soon when I tell him why I keep going off to doctors' apptmts.... anyone have any advice in that area?

All that aside, I'm SO glad it's the bank hol and am enjoying an ELDERflower and gin cocktail and back-to-back episodes of cougar town (oddly addictive). Hope all you ladies are likewise enjoying a good start to the bank hol.

So that's me. I promise I won't post such long and self-involved posts again (unless absolutely necessary).

Happy Friday berries!

Have we still not heard from barking? Hmmm not like her not to be on all day or more than an hour haha hope you're ok babs x

tally did you mean game of thrones earlier? I LOVE it!

thunder re you going cold turkey, each time I've tried to go without opks I always end up stressing and wishing I'd just done them. I'm stressing now because I used cheap ones in Thailand and didn't get a +ve. Also ff hasn't given me the cross hairs yet Confused

Thundercatsarego · 24/05/2013 16:53

I've just been given a bottle of Wine as a thanks from a teacher for printing work that was called up for moderation. I'm really flattered but teetotal so a bit annoyed. anyone want it? dh will probably drink it tonight though.

hope barking is ok!!

Frogcatcher · 24/05/2013 16:23

I'm constantly checking too & I'm only supposed to lurk now! I'm thinking barking may have run out of mobile battery rather than be deliberately keeping us in suspense. Fx and Chocolate

Thundercatsarego · 24/05/2013 16:11

How's everyone else doing today? We're nearly there! (Wineo'clock of course)

I for one am knackered and wished I had a week off next week but will definitely make do with a long weekend for starters. I shall be mostly lazing about and limbering up for shag fortnight....

SidneyBristow · 24/05/2013 16:02

barking fx they are taking good care of you, sending get well quickly vibes to you xxx

Thundercatsarego · 24/05/2013 15:40

Gillster · 24/05/2013 15:29

Is anyone else constantly checking their phone today to await news on Barking? Hope she's OK.

Tallyra · 24/05/2013 14:15

barking, I'm so glad you went to hospital. I can imagine the pain, and it needs sorting. I hope you are ok, let us know?! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tallyra · 24/05/2013 14:01

bloody he'll, bumps on GOT? we're a few episodes behind. I'll prepare myself. by the way, my claim to fame is that u lived with the woman who played Ros in halls at uni!

MrsB00Mbastic · 24/05/2013 12:35

Barking you poor thing! You must be due some very good karma soon for all this. Hope they've sorted you out and you're feeling a lot better, let us know how you are when you can, we're all thinking of you. Need an icon for [grapes] xxx

Goosey glad things seem calmer. A good decision I think not to pile more stress on top of what you're already dealing with, and hopefully you and your DP will be in a better place next cycle. Maybe your decision will give you both a break from the intensity of ttc so you can work through anything else that's causing friction. xxx

Gillster agree about the reviewers, instadiffers shouldn't be allowed OPKs! Similar to when I went through my phase of trying every supplement under the sun, the Holland and Barrett website had loads of people saying 'ooh, I took Vitex once and now I'm having twins' grrrr! And ditto frog with the pg thread. I think even when I'm updiffed I'll have a hard time dealing with people who didn't struggle and think it's all so easy.

Going to join all you teacher berries on your week off - not half term but I've got a reading week with no imminent uni work and no placement at the hospital - just a couple of shifts at the pub and other than that I'm freeeeeee Grin Grin Grin Didn't manage to have my booze last night (friend was playing in a tennis match and it went on a lot longer than expected) so tonight's the night for Wine hooray! Even the omnipresent bumps seem to have become less obvious (apart from the smug bump-rubber with two other children at the supermarket but I pretended not to see her). On the babymaking front we're still waiting for AF so I can have my hycosy but having heard about poor barking's experience I'm not sure I want it any more Sad

Frogcatcher · 24/05/2013 10:04

Here's the link scone:

Chart craziness!

Frogcatcher · 24/05/2013 09:31

barking any news? We're all worried here & thinking of you! Hope you are just catching up on sleep now.

scone my first month temping was crazy but second when I got updiffed looked way more normal & that's when I switched to the BBT thermometer too. I'll post the link to the charts so you can see & other berries can be nosy too as I don't mind!

Oh & even on a pg thread the instadiffers annoy me! There are people on mine who are like 'ooh whoops pg again with no 5' or 'wow my husband just held my hand once I'm so fertile'. These people have no idea what an OPK or BBT is - thank goodness for the elderberry grads!

Bunnygirlie · 24/05/2013 08:25

goose glad things are a tad better in the goosey household :-)

Bunnygirlie · 24/05/2013 08:23

Crikey barking are you ok my lovely?

sconeoclock · 24/05/2013 08:15

Thanks goosey weird temps are probably just normal for me! I take temp as soon as I wake up, time can vary by half an hour but I never wake up in the night to drink or wee but my temps have been a bit all over the place!
Oh well, AF due Wednesday and I'm regular as clockwork so not long to wait. Got a very busy weekend of work to keep me occupied and half term next week usually means we will be busy!

GooseyD · 24/05/2013 08:00

and Gilster, Thunder and Happy! Smile
