happylass · 25/05/2013 07:17

Morning to you too scone

happylass · 25/05/2013 07:16

Morning Kitty and Goosey. Good to see I'm not the only one awake at silly o'clock on a Saturday!
Night out was a works do for someone who's leaving Goosey but a bunch of us stayed in town to avoid the hassle of getting cabs home. No idea what caused the almost faint. Had only been out for about half an hour at that point so didnt really drink any more for the rest of the evening. Thanks to waking up early I managed to sneakily take my temp whilst my colleague is still asleep. Pleased to report it's still sky high. How are things with you Goosey?

sconeoclock · 25/05/2013 07:15

Morning all, slept really badly last night, very unlike me and low temp this morning which I am putting down to waking frequently since 4am. Must be because I know I have lots to do today.

One of my fb friends just put a status about elderflowers and wet sausages!!

GooseyD · 25/05/2013 06:18

Hi Happy, missed the dizzy episode - do you know why? How was the night out and sharing room with a colleague? Was that a work arranged thing or just bunch of work friends?

GooseyD · 25/05/2013 06:12

Hey Kitty - morning!

GooseyD · 25/05/2013 06:11

6am on Saturday, up since 5, still not sleeping brilliantly

Phew Barking so glad you're ok! That sounds horrendous. Hope you feel much better today and it doesn't spoil your bank holiday. Will it have any effect on ttc this month (apart from not feeling like it?!)

Hi Aquarius, period cramps and sickness lasting for months sounds horrible. Have they no idea what would cause that? Did you have bad AFs before? Re telling boss - I have a woman boss who I know would be sympathetic but I don't want to tell anyone at work that I'm ttc so although there was a month when I had around 6 doctor/hospital appointments I just said I'd bring her a note and not why (actually come to think of it, I never did!) Why do you think you might need to tell him?

Wow Bunny what a really odd thing to say, what on earth was she on about? Does she know you're ttc? Was she just addressing that weird comment to any women around or specially singling you out for the bizarreness? I'd freak out if a colleague came out with anything like that!

Not as weirdly, but quite annoyingly I found, we were talking at work about people who call you on your mobile and won't take any notice when you explain 'now isn't a good time for a call'. Anyway I was trying to enter into this conversation but the two others happen to be mums (one 8 years younger than me to add insult) and whenever I say anything one or other goes - oh but it's worse with a toddler, oh but everyone should just HAVE to look after a toddler to see what a hard time it is.... grrr

BlindKitty · 25/05/2013 06:11

bunny wtf??? That's outrageous! You should just report her to hr. that's not acceptable to say at work.

happy I guess it's just a natural reaction. Better get used to it as you'll be passing out all the time when you're preggers!

Well guys its 6.10am. So much for my lie in but I guess scone will have already made about a million cakes by now!!! xxx

happylass · 25/05/2013 01:47

Welcome back Aquarius . Was wondering where you'd got to a few days back. Sorry AFs been giving you such a tough time.
Barking glad you're home. Hope the pain is easing up and you'll be fighting fit again soon.
Was out with work tonight and had a funny turn. Came over all hot and dizzy and was apparently white as a sheet. Really thought I was going to pass out which then resulted in about a million people asking me if was pregnant

Bunnygirlie · 25/05/2013 00:03
Confused
Tallyra · 24/05/2013 23:46

ummm. step away from the crazy lady.... slowly, or she'll 'sense' something's wrong.

Bunnygirlie · 24/05/2013 23:31

Had a fab cuddle with my colleagues 10 day old baby today, such a sweetie. It was all lovely till my colleague (10 years younger than me) pipes up with 'hey bunny does your womb just light up when it senses a baby like a beacon so you know one is near '

WTF!!!!?!?!?!

Tallyra · 24/05/2013 22:37

Yay Barking! Have a nice sleep xxx

Thank you so much for all your well wishes, it's really brightened me up! Grin
I was being a good girl and not using my mobile phone on the ward....
Sooo.. Got to the gyny ward at around 1.30am. Doctor was called away for surgery. Got seen at 3am, by which time I was crying with pain if I had to leave the fetal position. She gave me painkillers then tried examining me again, then had to take swabs. When she put the doodah in I screamed in agony and despite being told to relax I never quite managed it. Think I woke most of the ward up Blush . Was eventually admitted and given morphine and put on a drip. DP finally got to go home at 5.30am Sad .
I was still in a lot of pain and was then feeling very sick as well so couldn't sleep. Finally managed a couple of hours sleep after a 2nd morphine injection and two lots of anti sickness drugs. Had two more bouts of pain followed by vomitting until I realised the pattern - the sickness came on half an hour after each dose of codine. They were threatening to keep me in another night but DP and I persuaded them there was no need, the pain was substantially better and the sickness had been linked to the codine. Now home and in the bath, can't wait for a decent sleep, had maximum of 4 hours in the last 36 hours!!

All they could think of was that I was sensitive to the ink they used in the HSG and it had irritated the lining of my uterus. I think it's scary that it could be that painful (I really was writhing around the bed in agony as they tried to examine me) but there isn't really other explanation. No other symptoms that suggest infection and too early for hat to kick in anyway.

Apparently when DP called my mum to tell her I was in hospital and what was probably the problem she just said I did tend to react to a lot of things?!? I get hayfever and I can't eat shellfish, it hardly makes me a medical nightmare!! Although I can add codine to the list now....

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts, it was lovely to check in and are that you'd been thinking of me Smile .

Apparently I need to log on less often though if my absence is noticed after an hour... Blush .

oops I'm so out of practise on MN Blush

Aquarius1 · 24/05/2013 19:51

thanks tally [ smile]

I record game of thrones too and am also not so keen on all the sex after a long day/week at work (but I do like the swashbluckling men and the girl power dragon lady...)

Tallyra · 24/05/2013 19:36

hiya aquarius welcome back (not that I was here before but you know Blush )

yes kitty I meant game if thrones. we've been recording it, as I really haven't felt up to watching it recently. I don't really know why, because I love it too... maybe it's something to do with not really being too into all the sex at the moment. I've gone off it at the mo and just too tired to think much in the evenings.
