bunny 2 whole years, I'm afraid! Hence my negativity! Or acceptance, which ever way you look at it! I think it's time to stop hoping I'll 'get lucky this cycle'. Sorry if I sound depressing! I'm actually feeling strangely empowered that I've finally accepted it!

Bunnygirlie · 27/05/2013 11:24

Keeping my fingers crossed for you barking!

kitty can I ask how long you have been TTC? (lost track of everyone) I read somewhere online that NHS won't give ivf unless you have been trying for 2 whole years! Have you been through all the tests, fannycams (snigger) etc?!?

Feel sick as a dog today, really nauseous, a really hideous IBS symptom, I am so lucky NOT!

BlindKitty · 27/05/2013 07:50

Morning peeps! Hope you're all having a good bank hol!

Think I might be on the CLOL as well bunny, hence why I've got blind drunk 2 days in a row in my 2ww. Just really don't think I will do this without assistance now. I'm not even massively sad about it, I think I've just finally accepted it. Roll on iui in aug!

happy think pip popped in a few days ago but haven't seen merk for a while. Wanted to tell her I've finally learnt what a merkin is haha

Well girls a momentous thing happened yesterday - I played cricket and managed to hit loads of balls! I always shy out of stuff like this as I'm generally crap and thought all my horrid childhood memories would come back. I finally crack it at 33! Where was my 33 year old self when I needed her at school?!

happylass · 27/05/2013 07:24

Morning Berries. Had a lovely night away with DP last night and will be exploring the West Country today before heading home tonight for a week of revision and reports Sad
Good luck to all those entering shag week. Barking you more than deserve your BFP after what you've been through in the past week. Somewhere in the 2ww here though not sure where due to the weird OV happenings. At least a week to wait before any pimping opportunities though I think. Have a lovely day all.
PS - anyone seen Pip or Merk?

barkingtreefrog · 26/05/2013 23:00

CD10 here Bunny and heading towards shag fortnight week as Ov could be any time between cd18 and 23. Hoping tomorrow I'm back to 100% and we can start practising.... But DP is in for his operation on the 6th June (no dtd for potentially up to 4 weeks) which could come 2 days after Ov, or 2 days before. I'm sticking with the positivity, so obviously I'm definitely expecting Ov by cd20 otherwise we can't maximise the possibilities of the post HSG BFP plus me remembering to take the fit b6 every day (bar the one day I was in hospital) to fingers crossed lengthen my LP. And I think if anyone deserves a post HSG BFP it would be me, surely?!?!
Hope everyone had a lovely sunny day, it was gorgeous out there!! Grin

My hubby hates the pressure and i hate myself for pressurising him too!

Thundercatsarego · 26/05/2013 22:10

That's a good idea tally. I'd be up for that if af would bloody leave damnit.

Tallyra · 26/05/2013 22:08

Yes, I'm getting quite tired of it now. But DH changed it up a bit yesterday and we are getting things back to the way they were 'before TTC', ie, much more interesting. I'm still having a bit of a problem getting in the mood, but yesterday was much more fun Wink

Thundercatsarego · 26/05/2013 21:54

Yes bunny it's a mixture of hope and mostly dread because of the pressure

Bunnygirlie · 26/05/2013 21:52

Evening peeps.

So I'm not on the ROR or the SOP or even the POP,I feel like I may be on the CLOL (chaise lounge of limbo)

CD5 so I guess all the shagging starts next weekend. Does any other berry get a feeling of dread as they head towards DTD time? The worry that one of you will be too tired, too ill, too stressed, no mojo etc...

Tallyra · 26/05/2013 21:12

Yep, will do. Getting a 404 error page at the moment, so not sure what's going on.

Thundercatsarego · 26/05/2013 20:41

Ahh that sounds great, I'm really inspired by your quirking activity! Give the shout when the photo is ready!

Tallyra · 26/05/2013 20:39

Not a top, a quilt top. But still very cool. It's the top part of a quilt - still got to put the layers together and quilt it before it can be called a proper quilt...
I bought what is called a 'jelly roll', which is a roll of loads of different strips of fabric and in my workshop we were taught how to put them together really quickly. Normally a quilt top takes me several weeks at a minimum because I'm doing it on my own at home, but in a group of motivated people you can get a hell of a lot done! I'm just getting the photo uploaded and you can have a look on my profile... It's loads of different William Morris designs. Not usually my thing but the jelly roll was cheap, and I think it's come out really well!

Thundercatsarego · 26/05/2013 20:30

Evening all, good work on earning those hangovers girls! Drink on through I say but I am a boozy bad influence

So cd7 here and af still hasn't entirely left the building iykwim? Humph. think thyroxine might be making them heavy and longer- anyone know anything about this?

tally a top? Sounds cool. Pics? Your DH sounds lovely.

Grin at blind's rolls from asda

Tallyra · 26/05/2013 19:23

hi guys. I've Been out sewing all day and had a great time - made a quilt top in 4 hours, which is a bit of a record for me.
I'm feeling a bit better today - I've been pretty down this week because I'm now back on green week once again and we are still not TTC and waiting for the appointment to talk to a consultant. I have been tempted to say sod the waiting and try again but I keep coming back to the sensible opinion that we should at least get a professional opinion that it's worth doing. dh had a bit of a talk with me after I apologised for yet about the bad mood day that we were supposed to be enjoying together. he's being so understanding and really wants to help me to not go back shown the depression route again for no reason that we can help. bloody nhs crappy doctors and waiting lists!!!

Bunnygirlie · 26/05/2013 18:19

Oh kitty I'm not that domesticated, I can't really cook much but I do like baking, pavlovas and macaroons are my thing :-)

Aquarius1 · 26/05/2013 13:34

Another one for the hangover hammock here - too much wine at a birthday meal for friend of dh last night Hmm just polished off a BLT which is helpingSmile

scone I came off depo in 2011 too- last injection July, af came back Feb 2012-ish, but hasn't been regular so GP sorted me out with blood tests. If your periods aren't quite back to normal maybe you could start getting tested on that basis?

BlindKitty · 26/05/2013 10:20

bunny how domesticated of you. I'm going to a BBQ too but I'm going to take bread rolls from Asda haha

Bunnygirlie · 26/05/2013 09:48

Hope all are well today, I guess it will be quiet in here due to the sunshine.

I'm off to make a pavlova for a BBQ :-) shall I use elderberries ;-)

BlindKitty · 26/05/2013 09:47

barking that does sound plausible, although I was going to vote 'a' anyway! Well done your doctor for asking if you had a shellfish allergy..

scone my butcher bakes bread!!! It's really good as well better than his sausages actually

cats come and join me in the hangover hammock!

thunder tbf you'll prob be fine going cold turkey I'm just a complete control freak and needs to know everything!

Well, went out drinking yest (hence posting from the hangover hammock) and feel rubbish despite only having a few! Spent most of night 'babysitting' my friend who decided to get blind drunk (shots in every bar). She then talked me into going to this club despite refusing as I felt extremely old and low after the last time (she asked 17 times, yes I counted). I only have in as she made out it was because she wanted to spend quality time with me only for her to completely ignore me and flirt with the dj (the actual reason why she wanted to go)!!! Love her to bits but she's in for a telling off later!!!

sconeoclock · 26/05/2013 08:43

Thanks all, will book appointment and hope we get a good gp.

Hope you all enjoy the sunshine today, another busy day in the kitchen for me. Tomorrow is set to be our busiest day of the year so I probably won't get time to check back here until Tuesday.

Gillster · 26/05/2013 08:41

Scone I agree with barking about being vague about return of AF. Maybe say "hard to remember exactly but sometime in the new year - Jan/Feb time 2012". Wink

Enjoy the sun berries, lots of BBQ action and gardening for me Smile.

barkingtreefrog · 26/05/2013 08:31

Oo, none of your messages were there when I started typing!! Morning everyone!

Scone just to add my own experience, I did blood tests on cd2 and cd21, then had internal examination and swabs taken and DP did SA. When results were all back we had a joint appointment to fill in all the forms for the referral to the fc.
I'd be vague about when AF came back Wink .

I just googled HSG allergy. A lot of the American sites tell you to let your doctor know if you are allergic to iodine or shellfish. I can't eat shellfish it makes me very ill. It seems a very strange coincidence that I had this severe reaction that is supposed to be 'extremely rare' and in America they seem to see a connection to shellfish. So I then googled shellfish and iodine and there's a massive amount about the 'urban myth' of links between iodine & xray dyes and shellfish. All very bizarre. It does seem a very strange coincidence to me though.

I'm still not right, but it's a stunning day outside so I'm armed with painkillers and going to push on through anyway Grin .

Happy sunny weekend everyone! Smile

Morning all. Scone I've recently been to the GPs for my first proper appointment. For me it's pretty much what Gil said. I had the cd21 back in February but they wouldn't do anything further until I'd been TTC 12 months (needed to exaggerate slightly there) This time around they did the full blood count for things like thydroid , glucose and iron levels plus the hormone tests but they didnt seem bothered about doing these on a particular cycle day even though I did ask. Going back on Tuesday for the results and to discuss being referred. DP had his jizz test back in December and I have to show proof of this to my GP so it may be worth sending yours ASAP to save time. I think procedures differ by area though so this may all be totally irrelevant!
