It's time for some more grads!!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months NO instadiffers, must have a special pot)

OP posts:

Might be a bit TMI but I've had menstrual issues for years. It affected My a level results. Was on the pill after that for years. Anyway, I lost 6 stone recently and when I got to my lowest weight everything went crazy. 1 week on; 1 week off. Ended up on iron tablets and everything. As a result, I'm a little worried that things aren't working properly. Confused

MrsB00Mbastic · 30/05/2013 08:49

Sorry English didn't mean to sound unwelcoming! Must have got the wrong end of the stick with your first post if Happy's rounded you up!

Don't worry about the maths. A lot of the berries are cycle-charting whizzes. I don't use OPKs or temp, because my cycles are too long and pointless to make it worthwhile until I get some sort of a helping hand.

MrsB00Mbastic · 30/05/2013 08:45

Ah shucks Aquarius, I was just getting used to all the lovely company on the CLoL! Sorry she turned up but at least not as vicious as usual. Hardly gloating, still sounds worse than the mild tummy grumblings I get or would do if AF ever bloody turned up chunter chunter

Hi english - another teacher! Any chance that you live in Yorkshire and have a dog? Grin What do you mean by not seriously ttc, have you already been trying? And is there a reason why you're paranoid? We do have a rule that you have to have been trying for over 3 months to join the Berries - only because people who instadiff the minute they join tend to cause a lot of ranting and pulling out of Berry hair Smile

happylass · 30/05/2013 08:42

Another cross post. Morning Aquarius and sorry she got you. Glad to see its pain free so far, long may it stay that way!

happylass · 30/05/2013 08:40

Morning Berries and welcome englishteacher (ladies I've been out recruiting again Smile). Yes I would definitely advise just DTD lots and having a bit of fun initially. You may want to track your cycles though so you know how long they are and also look out for any signs of OV like EWCM and OV pain. Lots of us use OPKs and chart our BBT too but all that can be a bit overwhelming at the start. Hard as it is I would just say to try to relax. Hopefully you'll fall pg pretty quickly (or get instadiffed as we like to call it round these parts) but be aware that it could take a while. I naively thought it would happen for me straight away as both myself and DP are fit and healthy and my cycles are regular as clockwork but 10 months on here I am!! Think I'm right in saying the average TTC time for the over 35s is a year so not even there yet. Sorry realised I've used loads of acronyms. If your not sure of anything ask - I forgot how confusing it all is at the start!!

Thanks for the sauna advice Blind. I have a facial and massage booked so will try to limit my use of the other facilities as much as I can without arousing suspicion! Just PIMPed on the off chance (just to check for the purpose of the spa of course!) but as I'm only 7dpo it was obviously BFN and a big fat waste of a hpg!
Have a good day all.

englishteacher78 · 30/05/2013 08:35

Oh dear, I'm really not keen on Maths. Unless it's algebra - letters are more my thing :)

Aquarius1 · 30/05/2013 08:33

Cross posts- morning pet lovers (cant get "the merits of ferrets" out of my head!) and Englishteacher. I'd say just keep shagging for now- no need to get paranoid- but if/once you've been ttc a bit longer you'll probably want more control over it which is where the Maths comes in.

Aquarius1 · 30/05/2013 08:29

Well I've well and truly fallen off the CLoL - AF arrived this morning 10 mins before supposed to be leaving for work. Cd33- i have wonky cycles- not sure if i ovulated.

amazingly I haven't been sick (yet) nor doubled over in agony as per the last 4 months- even managed to take painkillers before the nausea set in! Still had to call in sick & am curled up in bed with a hot water bottle but so relieved not to be in unbearable toe curling agony (i have really started to fear af as a result)!

(Sorry if there's anyone reading this who's suffering and I'm here gloating about my lack of it)

englishteacher78 · 30/05/2013 08:27

I don't quite qualify to join yet (not seriously TTC until mid-August) but I AM over 30. And paranoid about all this. And confused by all the acronyms about stuff (worse than information from the Department of Education). Do I really need to do all this Maths? Can we not just DTD a lot and see what happens?

Bunnygirlie · 30/05/2013 08:22

kitty oh it was more than that! We were lucky we have savings but I did feel like I had to cut back on wedding costs a tad!

DH knows DTD week is coming up and I'm so worried that the pressure might get the better of him again, am scared that mojo may leave the building Sad

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 07:22

Boom I get the bladder jump every morning by our cat and she shakes drool in my face she's especially hating mn atm as she wants feeding and I'm still in bed!

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 07:20

tally and boom well I phoned her as I'd got in my head that she was going to be this lovely kind person who'd offer me some sympathy but she just got all defensive as she thought I was complaining.

bunny£1000!? Eek! My cat is uninsurable, she better stay healthy! You DEFO should go with dh btw

happy read that saunas increase your core temp and can bring on mc so assuming that it can't help implanatation. How about a nice massage?

MrsB00Mbastic · 30/05/2013 06:52

Morning all

Dog just woke me up by jumping on my full bladder to demand breakfast. Ooof. Beginning to see the merit of ferrets rather than fatty pooches!

Tallyra · 29/05/2013 22:55

haha, yes I'm always aware that ferrets are quite good for creating innuendo.

MrsB00Mbastic · 29/05/2013 22:23

You're on the CLOL Aquarius! Chaise longue of limbo!

(And watch out for the dog, she rolled in something earlier and still pongs a bit. I'm immune by now Grin)

Aquarius1 · 29/05/2013 22:04

What's the CLOL? Chaise long of something or other?

What am I on if I'm in the 2ww -is there a sofa of irrationality, mood swings and unnecessary chocolate snacking?

MrsB00Mbastic · 29/05/2013 21:56

happy sorry cross post! I don't know about the spa I'm afraid, but I hope you can go because it sounds lovely!

bunny I guess I'm on the CLoL as well. Permanent fixture!

Bunnygirlie · 29/05/2013 21:50

boom cross posted! Hugs for the mood! I feel kind of ok at the mo, think its coz on I'm on the CLoL prior to DTD week. I'm sure I'll get stressed and emotional next week if things don't go my way.

Bunnygirlie · 29/05/2013 21:47

LoL yes My ferret escaped sounds well dodge too Grin

Well happy it's days 16-19 so just at the edge of shag week I guess. aquarius the hotel looks like a bit cheap and cheerful but I will get paid double time on the weekend which would be nice!

Probably seeing my friend this Friday, my friend who just had baby 4! Not sure how I'm going to feel, a 10 day old baby and me may not mix well at present!

MrsB00Mbastic · 29/05/2013 21:35

Aw kitty have some chocolate

happylass · 29/05/2013 21:29

Evening Berries. Glad the ferret has been located Tally!!
Bunny if its still shag week I would say 100% yes to doing the conference! Otherwise for me it would depend on where and how hard I'd have to work - that's my criteria for deciding whether to accompany DP on work trips or not!
Quick question - do you all use jacuzzis, saunas etc during the 2ww? Got a spa day on tomorrow and not sure what to do for the best. Dr Google is giving conflicting advice Confused

Aquarius1 · 29/05/2013 21:06

Ha hahaaa haha
Not a euphemism bunny but that made me giggle... what about all this ferret talk- surely there's a euphemism in there somewhere?? Wink

Yeah bunny go on the conference - does it mean free food / drink /hotel too??

Kitty if its any consolation I've been crazy moody this week & I'm not even on clomid- just in 2ww- and announcing Twins - ffs - I'd have either had a break down or walked off in a huff and thought evil thoughts about her (yes I know I sound like a 13 yr old- I'm that spotty right now I prob look like one too)

Bunnygirlie · 29/05/2013 19:50

aquarius 'oops my bus came' is that a euphemism Wink

tally I take your £450 and raise it by several 1000, one of our kitty's got hit by car a few years ago and due to wrong levels of insurance cost us a packet!!! But we would have done anything to make her better!

kitty I did read that clomid can affect moods, gawd help me and my colleagues if I end up on it, I am moody enough already!

Ladies, I have a conundrum, DHs colleague is unable to make the conference he is going to so he asked me to go to help. It means working over a weekend and long days but does mean we might get a few bonus shags in at the end of my fertile period, do I go or not?!?

Tallyra · 29/05/2013 19:02

sending hugs to you kitty. how did she talk down to you? surely she realises people on their books are delicate emotionally??

BlindKitty · 29/05/2013 18:30

tally glad your ferret came home. We do love our babies! X
