Oh Cups. That phrase is the worst. I was going to suggest chickpeas too. And beans of all varieties. And lentils. Are you a fan of yoghurt? Green and blacks is the best I think you can buy in a supermarket! And not too sweet.

Geek that sounds like a plan. Why are you convinced the problem lies with you? There is not always a rhyme or reason.

Solars I would thoroughly recommend it. I had an amazing time Smile

AIBU to be annoyed with MrM? He promised me before i started treatment that he would help out so much more. In th last 3 and a half weeks he has cooked dinner once and run the Hoover round. I'm so tired and the headaches are ramping up. It will not be much longer before I go on strike Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 19/06/2013 16:36

I love hummus so ill have that every day! I'll live off turkey/chicken,eggs, milk and hummus Smile Maybe I've never tried green and blacks, is it really good? My fave is twinning swiss hot chocolate.

Boo I really hope K is alright, brooking you get that drs appointment quickly.

Geek that sounds like a great plan, I'm brooking you don't need it though.

Well I'm going to be an Aunty again as I expected. It was of course a surprise and not planned as if that makes me feel better. I managed not to throw my iPad out of the window. Luckily it was just my brother on Skype so I didn't have to act all excited.

ControlGeek · 19/06/2013 15:22

oh boo that must be very worrying. I hope she gets seen soon, and sorted out quickly.

maybe that sounds like a fantastic way to get your milk quota Grin

Our plans are currently running in the following order:

  • get ourselves over this cycle
  • pay privately to get my immunes/NK cells tested because I am convinced there is something going on that hasn't yet been identified, given how long we have been at this game with not even a sniff of a BFP
  • have our final NHS shot at ICSI (with or without removing fibriod, we are happy to be led by the consultant on this)
  • Save like fury for a single private attempt with donor eggs as I am convinced the problem mostly lies with me, despite MF being identified. I feel when they saw that, they basically stopped looking into anything further. Depending on how long this takes to save for, though, we may be looking at donor eggs & donor sperm which is a whole separate ball game that we are not yet willing to start considering.

Sorry for still being very mememe. I'll be back in the swing of it soon.

Solars · 19/06/2013 14:57

Poor K Boo hope she gets seen to soon.

I would love to go to his cookery school Maybe

Good to hear from you Geek, it's nice that you and MrG are looking after each other. Hope the waxing has scared Percy off!

Oh Boo what's up with K? Hope you are the dr soon.

Geek so good to have you back. I annoy believe it waxed Percy Shock [watery eyes]. What plans are you making

Cups I've been drinking my milk with green and blacks hot choc in it. Nom.

Solars we went there last year too!! Amazing. I've been to his cookery school too. It was immense!!

Sparks love curry sounds like jut the sort of thing you should be trying right now....... Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/06/2013 14:20

Waxing Percy Shock X-0 why?????? Glad your Brooking spirit is coming back, wouldn't be the same here without you xx

Brooking for everyone here, sorry no name check, K is poorly :( waiting for a Dr appointment.

ControlGeek · 19/06/2013 14:07

cups I wasn't told to take in plenty of protein at all, but I drank a litre of milk a day because I had heard on here that it had been recommended by other clinics. I can't stand the taste of full fat or semi, so I drank skimmed with nesquik each day. I did try to have at least two litres of water/other drinks as well though.

Slowly getting back in the brooking spirit here. I know it's game over for us this cycle, but MrG and I have started talking plans which always makes me feel better.

In other news, Percy just got his first (and hopefully last) waxing.

Solars · 19/06/2013 13:28

Cups it doesn't need to full fat, you can have it in milk shakes or even smoothies. Or try the protein powder that Keep mentioned. You can buy protein bars too. You could try lentils, humous etc. good luck with the Skype call from your bro.

Maybe I love rick too, we went to his restaurant in Padstow last year, I salivate every time I think of that meal!

Completely forgot to say yay on the follies! Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 19/06/2013 13:21

Just popping in to see how Geek and Beedle are doing. Thinking of you both.

Maybe I have no idea how I'm going to manage to get enough protein. I'll have to eat chicken every night! I don't really like milk, does it have to be full fat? I was allergic to cows milk as a baby and I've never really liked the taste even though I can drink it now. Do you think it will still do the job if I mix it with nesquik?! I'm allergic to nuts and I hate seafood. So I'm a bit stuck, any other good foods I can eat?

I'm waiting for my brother to Skype, he really needs to talk to me apparently. I'm sure it will be a pg announcement Confused

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/06/2013 12:51

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/06/2013 12:46

Thanks Keep. They've got me down for 12 days of stimms, so hopefully will fly by!

Love curry Grin Blush I meant clove!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/06/2013 12:44

It is indeed! A beautiful book and an amazing first program! I've already made a lamb, cardamom and love curry, pilau rice and chapatis!

keepitgoing · 19/06/2013 12:43

I think I read 60g a day. I had protein powder in milk as I don't think I was getting enough otherwise. Good luck, I think its easier and faster once you start stimming.

Solars · 19/06/2013 12:37

Oooo is that from his new series on tv? I haven't watched it yet, looks good though.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/06/2013 12:32

Thanks Solars. I love avocados, so that'll do me! MrM bought me the new Rick Stein book the other day, so I am armed with lots of exciting recipes Grin

Solars · 19/06/2013 12:32

A lot ladies were also drinking protein shakes and having protein balls too but I didn't go for those.

OP posts:
Solars · 19/06/2013 12:30

They didn't give us a specific weight of protein but they definitely said at least 1 litre of milk per day which I think is the minimum, which I reckon is about 28-36g. I was having on top of that eggs every couple of days, loads of chicken vitually everyday, i was running out of creative recipies by the end of it and also avocados and nuts.
