Ooooh parking sounds shocking btw - my friend is a nurse and she has the same problem at our local hospital. NHS car parks are an absolute pisstake.

ScarlettInSpace · 21/05/2013 10:19

Thanks cups Least I can get pished at the weekend though hey...

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 21/05/2013 09:22

Scarlett I'm very Hmm to hear that. I'm still brooking for AF to stay away. If she dares to visit then I hope she sticks to your IUI timetable. It's still not time for Plan F, you will get there x

Solars you must be shattered. How are you managing? At least it's short protocol, hopefully you'll get a date for EC soon.

Face how are you doing?

Sweetie are you still lying down recovering from the scan shock?! When is your next scan?

Maybe only a week until stabbing starts!!!

Beedle I also was thinking about you while watching Eurovision Smile have you started stimming yet?

Geek is right on the sneakily not drinking front. I've not had a drink in 9 weeks Shock I keep ordering soft drinks and asking the bar person to put the drink into a short glass. The bar person barely bats an eyelid so I reckon I'm not the first to ask! Everyone just assumes I'm drinking a spirit.

Well I started my new job yesterday. It was just induction so didn't really do anything. I found out I'm on a long waiting list for a car parking permit. God knows where I'm going to park today as most of the residential streets are permit only. I've found a car park 1.5 miles away I can use. Which is just wonderful seeing as I'm working until 9pm and the hospital is in a v dodgy area. Grrr I'm so annoyed.

ScarlettInSpace · 21/05/2013 09:00

Morning brookers, well no need for me to waste any more tests I had some spotting last night so the witch is circling. usually spot for 3-4 days so hopefully she will steer clear til Friday, as I can only do IUI if I start on a Fri, Sat or Sun. Although feeling pretty meh about trying again tbh.

OH has also decided he thinks we would be wasting money if we self-fund any more ivf as 'it hasn't worked before' so looks like plan f is closer than previously thought!

Pfft.

ControlGeek · 21/05/2013 08:43

Cartoon there's loads you can have discreetly in a pub - tonic with ice and a slice, orange juice, tomato juice, any of the mixers in fact. Most pubs I've been in do alcohol free wine and beer too (but it really doesn't taste the same). Pour a bottle of becks blue in a glass and no-one'll know the difference. If you have a wetherspoons near you, the soda water is free, too!

cartoontrickster · 21/05/2013 07:55

of course kitty (can't believe I didn't think if that) I need to trick the nosey bastards! ah the mocktail will come in handy. can you get shloer in the pub too then?

BlindKitty · 20/05/2013 22:24

Ha just realised the typo!

face my trick is to order something that looks like wine, eg schleur and con everyone into thinking you still are drinking!

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 21:23

I'm going to try and hold out until Friday ahahahahahahahaaaaaaa but will deffo not waste another test tomorrow...

I even dug this mornings out of the bin when I got in from work in case if a late shower but nada

Solars · 20/05/2013 20:51

No idea Maybe anytime after day 10 hopefully, but all depends on how everything is going, I was talking to a lovely lady there today who is on day 12 I think and she's not even been told when it's likely she's going to be triggering!

Scarlett will you be testing again on Wednesday? It was definitely too early testing today.

Definitely agreeing with you there Scarlett. Though it is interesting trying to pick Otis up..... Grin

Solars you poor thing. When is EC pencilled in for?

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 18:52

solars the drugs knock you sideways as it is, with a 4.45am alarm call in not surprised you're exhausted! Early nights Wink

sparks I think maybe and I agree that our dogs are two totally different types of cute - otis in a big smother-you-with-cuddles fluffy kind of a way and mine in a tiny pick-him-up-and-squeeze-him pugly kind of a way Grin

Solars · 20/05/2013 18:16

Hi sorry for not being around much, but I'm utterly exhausted, I have to go into the clinic daily for about 7.30am for blood tests ans scans plus I've started one of the injections that has to be taken at 5am! So my alarm is set for 4.45am every morning at the moment!!

Beedle great to hear your news and you get to start stabbing soon! I'm feeling like a junkie at the moment

I haven't checked into FB for ages but will try to check out all these cute pics soon.

Kitty I've started my ivf/icsi cycle and the clinic recommends 1 litre of milk per day to help with the protein intake!!

A big hello to everyone else, hope you're all doing ok!

Beedle that's amazing news!! Not long now!!

Lovely to see you Smegs and your squee feet

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 15:11

Oooooh beedle did you watch the ESC on Saturday? Was it compulsory in Sweden? I thought if you when the presenter was singing her silly song about all things Swedish Grin

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 15:07

geek mild IVF is short protocol with low stims, same level as I'm doing for IUI really...

smegs hello! My jugdog is the cutest dodgy in the world fact Grin

beedle oooooh well done on shrinking the fibroid has no idea what that means but it does sound like impressive shrinkage

ScrambledSmegs · 20/05/2013 14:52

We're all winners, Sparks

ScrambledSmegs · 20/05/2013 14:51

Ooh, great news Beedle! Well done you!

Squee-fest.

Seriously, phone? Hmm You bastard

ScrambledSmegs · 20/05/2013 14:29

Hullo

Sooooo... over on the FB group we're having a little cute-off photo sharing thang. Mainly DCs at the mo', although one ball of fluffy gorgeousness is doing sterling work for the fur babies Grin

If anyone has lovely photos of cuteness, whether human baby (related if poss, for privacy reasons!), furry or even an exceptionally hot cute DP/H, do come along and join in with the squee-feet.

My poor shrivelled old ovaries have been positively twanging all morning, I'm hoping for a slew of BFP's off the back of this! Grin

ControlGeek · 20/05/2013 13:01

beedle well done! How long have you been taking the vit D for? Good luck with the stabbing, at least you haven't had to do that for the DR too.

scarlett not a tightwad at all, I think it is very sensible and would def have done the same myself. There is no point paying for more than you have to. What is mild IVF? Is that like normal IVF but without the stims?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 20/05/2013 12:46

Had my scan this morning, my fibroid is down from 40mm to 10mm, not sure if this is due to the downregging or all the vit d I've been taking, but its good anyway. I learnt how to stab myself and I start on wed :o

Will catch up more later as I'm sitting on a train next to a colleague and don't really want him to get nos about what I'm writing Blush

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 11:42

Ps They haven't given me progesterone this time, I suspect because you don't down reg they expect you to produce your own? I have a full box left over from last IVF but I'm saving that in case we pay for a cycle of mild IVF later this year - may make me a tightwad but I'm stockpiling as many drugs as I can for that!

ScarlettInSpace · 20/05/2013 11:40

My fridge is my favourite household appliance... It holds my wine when I'm allowed to drink it, sob and my cheese Grin

My fringe I grew out a year or two ago and can't bc bothered with the upkeep to have cut back in again Grin
