So who's next in line for that BFP???

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2013 14:52

Oh fab news geek :o :o

We've got a real run on assisted brooking at the moment haven't we. maybe starts next week doesn't she? No-one will need to go to the gym as we'll all be keeping fit with our grow-follies, fertilise-eggs and sticky embryoes dances

ControlGeek · 23/05/2013 14:37

Ok ladies, I am officially en route to joining the Assisted Brooking team - teach session and ultrasound are booked in for 2.20pm tomorrow afternoon (OMG This is really happening...)

cups I really wish you were able to come to my clinic. They apologised for not being able to offer me much in the way of choice for my appointment - they could only offer me a choice of 5 (all at various times tomorrow). It's so unfair that the treatment and processes are different across the country.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/05/2013 10:12

Oh Geek I was so hoping for an ironic BFP for you!

I think (but I really don't know) that stim drugs start around day 5 of your natural cycle? Though I am sure Solars and Keep will be able to correct me on that one

ControlGeek · 23/05/2013 09:18

beedle well done on your first injection! You must find it a lot easier than having to sniff a whole dog so frequently. I hope they gave you something small - would hate to think of you trying to inhale something like a tibetan mastiff Grin

solars I'll be on cetrotide too, my instructions say nothing about 5am jabs, just that it has to be done at the same time every day. Perhaps they are waiting to hook me on menopur before springing that little surprise on me. How many days left do you have?

Dammit I can't get through to the clinic, it keeps ringing out

What would be the latest that I could start the stim drugs in my cycle? Would having an appointment after the bank holiday make it too late to start?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2013 08:49

Sorry its not an ironic BFP geek but woohoo for starting

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 23/05/2013 08:14

Oh Geek I wanted that to be your BFP so much, but yay for you starting now!!!

SweetieTime · 23/05/2013 07:56

Geek so sorry af has arrived. I was so hopeful for an ironic bfp for you. at least you can get started now.

ControlGeek · 23/05/2013 07:47

Just a quickie this morning as am running late - AF arrived overnight. Took a test to be sure and it was BFN (Morrisons' own, CBA with the ICs this morning). Will call the clinic today to get booked in for scan and teach session. Yay! It begins :)

Will do a proper post at work. (((Hugs))) to all

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/05/2013 07:12

Its no laughing matter kitty, you try putting a sniffer dog up your nose 3 times a day :o

geek how are the peesticks looking this morning?

solars hope you're not too tired after your early start again this morning. Has it just been blood tests so far or have you had any scans?

I think my ovaries have come to life as I can definately I'm imagining that I can feel them

BlindKitty · 23/05/2013 07:02

solars ha read your last post as 'sniffer dog'!

Solars · 22/05/2013 21:17

Oh Scarlett I'm so sorry to hear that, I had such high hopes this month for you. I can't understand about the clinic rule of only doing an iui cycle if your AF lands on a friday, Saturday or Sunday?? Hope you have a lovely month off though big hugs.

Geek are you sure you're not diffed?! You can't have that many evap lines surely?

Glad stabbing went well for you Beedle the 5am injection is cetrocide which blocks your natural production of LH so you don't ovulate prematurely, I think the sniffer drug you take does the same. I'm not sure why it has to be taken at 5 am in the morning though.

On that note, I'm off to bed for another early start, big wave to you all x

BlindKitty · 22/05/2013 19:23

scarlett oh hon I'm so sorry, I really am Sad will you try another iui? Think mine is starting in aug now. Massive hugs xxxx

ControlGeek · 22/05/2013 18:31

Oh scarlett I'm so sorry :( A month off sounds like a great idea though. I'm brooking that MrS was just having a blip, like we all do, and that you will both come back all guns blazing.

Smegs I was taking implantation (ha!) As being the huge temp dip on 7dpo (in cloud cuckoo land). Seriously, testing early and often is my coping mechanism.

If anybody would like to see an evap line for themselves I am more than happy to ship my faulty batch (unused of course) to all and sundry - evap lines guaranteed, even for blokes!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 22/05/2013 18:26

scarlett sorry AF showed up early, well sorry she showed up at all. Have a rest from the stress this month and we'll see you again soon.

geek I can't believe your peesticks are messing with your head so much

smegs hope the cute little ones get better soon and give you some peace

Well first lot of stabbing done, I think I did it right Shock The sniffing continues but only half as much as before.

What is your injection that you have to do so early in the morning solars ?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/05/2013 11:50

Oh Scarlett I am so sorry. A month off sounds like a plan. Maybe MrScarlett will change his mind about another IVF round. I hope he does. Hope you have a good month of debauchery planned.

Geek I am very excited about these recent developments.

Smegs hoe the smeglets are feeling better very soon so you can stop watching cbeebies

First day of stimming Beedle how exciting. I will be on gonal-f, not sure about the menopur. Hope it all goes well.

Cups that is such a nightmare. That's the last thing you need at the end of a long shift. Hope you manage to get something sorted very soon.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/05/2013 09:15

Sorry to hear that Scarlett Sad. Damn AF. Not bloody fair.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/05/2013 09:14

Blimey, geek, give your hCG levels a chance to kick in! If you passed a small clot implantation at 9 dpo they'll be barely off the starting grid now Grin No wonder most of your tests can't really detect them!

Aargh. The end results of my BFPs are driving me nuts today. They're both sick. Again.

Free to a good home not really

ScarlettInSpace · 22/05/2013 08:43

geek sounds promising, I've never even seen an evap line I thought they were a myth along with actual positive results

AF has landed. The bifch couldn't even wait til tomorrow so I could've stretched it to Friday with the clinic Angry

I'm going to sack off this month and have a month off, good luck everyone I'll check in later in the month xx

ControlGeek · 22/05/2013 07:38

kitty 11 DPO today. My LP is normally 12 days so AF will be arriving on Friday.

cartoon yup, that was my pee stick list Grin

Another faint evap line on IC this morning, but definitely didn't rival that amazing one from two days ago. BFN on morrisons own. Didn't want to waste another FRER just yet. May use one on Friday though, before I call the clinic Wink

BlindKitty · 21/05/2013 22:11

Jees GeeK you DO love a good symptom spot! I've had heart burn since ov but you've defo outdone me! How many dpo are you?

face mock tails are good..until people want to try them! Word of warning - drink slow or you'll give the game away! Only a few pubs serve schleur but I managed to host an entire dinner party with it at Xmas! X

cartoontrickster · 21/05/2013 18:15

solars poor you with such early starts I struggle to get out of bed at 7.15am!
scarlett I believe there is still time af hasn't fully landed! plan f does sound fun but a looong way off I'm sureGrin .
geek your symptoms list is amazing! was it you with the impressive list of pee sticks too? I doubt you'll be needing all those. you'll be supplying the rest of us brookers for months.
nowt much to report here, I remain symptom free!

Solars · 21/05/2013 17:05

Wow Geek that's a comprehensive list of symptoms, I'm saying diffed for sure! I'm doing ok, start to get tired quite early of an evening but have been sleeping solidly which is good but I keep waking up automatically 10mins before the alarm goes off grrrr! That's great news about being able to ring in for your teaching session, you'll be starting stimming before you know it now! Do you already have your drugs or will you get them at your teaching session?

Beedle good luck for tomorrow, I was also on 300 units of Menopur on my first ivf, we're on different drugs with this clinic. Do still keep sniffing though?

Cups hospital parking annoys the hell out of me, whenever I've had to get bloods done it was £4 for 1 hour!! Sometimes if someone was leaving and they still had time left on their ticket they would give it to me but most times I'd have to park about a mile away! Hope you're settling nicely into your new role now though.

Scarlett implantation? I think it's worth going for a consultation before you decide on self funding an ivf round, to hear what chances you have, it wouldn't be fair to decide right now.

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 21/05/2013 16:35

scarlett sorry about the spotting, and sorry that mrscarlett feels that you should give up. But I think your plan b is worth a try before you get to plan f and I'm sure he will agree once he gets over the disappointment of the iui not working this time.
And whilst it was lovely that you and cups were thinking of me, I wasn't watching the ESC :o

cups hope you get the parking sorted soon.

Stimming starts tomorrow, luckily only 1 injection per day in the evening, and my first blood test is on Monday, so its seems quite easy compared with solars I'm on 300 units of menopur to start with, though I'm not sure how that compares with other people.

geek I love a good symptom spot, I hope a supersperm has got through. Otherwise its not long to wait until you start.

ControlGeek · 21/05/2013 13:41

Crikey solars those are scary times! No wonder you are shattered. Is your clinic in a different time zone?? I hope you're able to juggle your work to give you plenty of downtime and rest when you need to.

scarlett dammit I was so sure this was the one for you Sad AF will not land before Friday if she knows what's good for her

cup NHS car parking is appalling. At least you have been able to get your name on the waiting list though. Is there a park and ride facility that could make your journey between hospital and car safer in the meantime?

Three days and I get to call the clinic to arrange my learn-to-stab-yourself appointment GrinGrinGrin Dink boss is back from holiday but has been too busy to catch up with me in private. Guess he'll have to wait til Friday to find out it's all kicking off for me :)

I know you all love a good symptom spot, so even though MrG's swimmers would have been OAPs or six feet under by the time my golden egg popped here is my list to date:

  • norks haven't been very sore at all this 2ww (normally they are agony from a couple of days before o, to around now)
  • no cramping whatsoever (normally on-and-off cramping from about 4DPO, would def have expected a couple of painful episodes by now)
  • a massive temp dip on 7DPO
  • constantly hungry, but feeling really bloated every time I eat something (not so bad today though, but last night I couldn't even finish my cinema popcorn!)
  • feeling sick when I drink milk products (I love milky coffees normally)
  • (TMI warning #1) constipation like you wouldn't believe
  • (TMI warning #2) passed a weird sticky brown clot at 9DPO
  • yesterday's IC BFN turned into an amazing evap line overnight, so much so that I wasted an FRER this morning. BFN, obvs.
