I really must learn what some of this stuff is so I know what I'm dancing for! I usually get the gist obviously but sometimes I'm not 100%.
I think I need to make my self a little guide sheet!

ControlGeek · 24/05/2013 20:10

Can I please have a round-up? I'm getting myself all confused with where everyone is at and I think I've missed out on some dancing.

Apologies in advance if I have any of the details wrong, my brain is completely addled at the moment!

Go Geek go geek (in the style of the Ricky lake show if anyone remembers that). THIS is your time!!!!' X

cartoontrickster · 24/05/2013 18:27

wow everyone there's a lot of words going on here that I don't understand. I take it its all good though.
there certainly seems to be a lot of stabbing going on. seems its full steam ahead for the brookers! Grin
I'm slightly concerned by the sniffer drugs/dogsHmm Grin
solars how did you find the lipid? they're basically pumping us full of extra calories but its all for a good cause!

ControlGeek · 24/05/2013 17:02

beedle my stim is menopur and I'll be taking cetrotide to prevent early ovulation. y trigger is pregnyl. So far I've been given everything including the progesterone pessaries, apart from the cetrotide as they'll be teaching me how to inject that at my scan on Wednesday.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/05/2013 16:52

keep good luck for the scan. Have you had any morning sickness?

Woohoo geek we'll almost be cycle buddies, my EC will probably be at the beginning of that week. What drugs are you on?

ControlGeek · 24/05/2013 16:31

welcome back keep!!! Did you have a good time? Brooking all goes well for tomorrow's scan and that you even get a little wave.

Right, I'm all drugged up and ready to start stabbing from tomorrow evening. Next scan is Wednesday morning, then every other day for 5-7 days depending on how well I respond. EC will be a couple of days after all that's done, so possibly around 5th-7th June so depending on how many eggs/fertilised/quality of development, ET will be somewhere between 7th and 12th June.

I'm just all so about it! Now that I've got the drugs I'm impatient to start Grin

keepitgoing · 24/05/2013 15:15

Hi all, am back from hols and trying not to fret over tomorrow's scan too much...

geek good luck for today! I was told stimms should start on day 2 or 3 of natural cycle.

solars poor you having to get up that early. I just did the ov-blocking one in the evening with the others - isn't it weird how things vary! It only takes one, for sure. And you never know, some little ones might have a growth spurt. How big are they?

kitty I'm sorry you don't have a letter yet, but that gives you a chance for a natural bfp I guess.

Right, am v tired, so off to bed

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/05/2013 09:47

wow sparks 36 weeks already. are you enjoying the calm before the storm? Hope little twinks is preparing to be sneezed out.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/05/2013 08:16

Hi Beedle we're all good thanks, K is a dream, settled really well with us and her brothers :) it all sounds like it's going really well for you, what is next in your treatment?
Geek I'm pleased you're mum was able to give you so much support and positive tales of other success stories :)

maybe you're absolutely right, of course. This time next month, we will all be grads Grin

sweetie how many weeks are you now lovely? Has the ms kicked in yet? I don't think it's so much that we are down, just voicing thoughts/concerns/worries that we can't necessarily voice IRL.

kitty OMG I remember that show Blush

beedle wow that is a sign and a half! This has got to be it for you, surely! Hope the stabbing continues to go well, and that tired and headachey passes soon for you.

thank you boo mmm delicious

when's your next scan?

Deffo considering this as day 1 (day 2?) of my pregnancy. Had a lovely long chat with my mum yesterday. She knows of a lot of people where she worked who have been struggling to get pg for a while, some are undergoing the same investigations/operations that I've had. It helps to hear things like that, rather than 'ohh so and so's pg again, and yet another different father!'

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/05/2013 07:21

ooh hello boo how are you?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/05/2013 07:11

Good luck today Geek

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/05/2013 07:07

On my way into work this morning a car stopped to let me cross the road, it had the letters BFP on its numberplate, so I'm taking this as a very very early sign :o :o

Good luck with the appointment today geek Should we consider this as day 1 of your pregnancy?

So far the stabbing is going OK but I have been feeling rather tired and headachy since I started.

BlindKitty · 23/05/2013 21:25

Go Geek go geek (in the style of the Ricky lake show if anyone remembers that). THIS is your time!!!!' X

SweetieTime · 23/05/2013 16:45

Come on Brookers, not like you lot to be down. You are well on the assisted route and look how many ladies have success with IVF. It doesn't matter how those Brooking babies get in there just so long as they do.

Solars it is quality over quantity every time. As Geek says I only had 5 eggs, 4 of which fertilised and now on with twins. At the time I wouldn't have thought it possible. Good luck my dear, stick with it and keep your eyes on the prize.

Maybe good luck for Tuesday, the jabbing becomes quite methodical. It wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. You will be fine, just get yourself in a routine.

Geek your clinic sounds lovely, very accommodating. Hope it all goes well at the lesson and scan.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/05/2013 16:06

Oh Geek I know exactly how you are feeling. But don't you worry,we are brookers and we will simply not accept that it won't work. Fact.

ControlGeek · 23/05/2013 15:49

meant to say, good luck for Tuesday, maybe!!!

ControlGeek · 23/05/2013 15:49

beedle I'm banking on all that dancing to get rid of the crap I've been eating for the last couple of weeks!

solars it's brilliant that they are able to do so much for you this time, but it must be so exhausting for you, you poor love. Just remember, sweetie got 6 eggs and has ended up with octuplets twins! Brooking that the quality of your eggs means that you already have all you need.

I was a bit worried earlier as AF went AWOL for the morning Confused tis all alright now though, she found her way back to me just after lunchtime, in time to take the phone call. To be honest I'd psyched myself up for them saying that the bank holiday made it too inconvenient to do it this month, so I am over the moon that they could offer me an appointment tomorrow.

I have no idea when I will be starting the stim injections, presumably I will be picking up my drugs tomorrow as part of my teach session. Bit nervous and jittery as I've already seen the size of the needle and it's twice the size of MrG's diabetic needles but then it does go in a very well padded different part of the body so hopefully it won't be too bad Grin

MrG has gone from being a nervous wreck to scarily excited about the whole thing. It's starting to feel a lot more real now. My main worry is that I'm already convinced that it won't work - that we'll get a perfect blasto but that my body will reject it. I just can't understand why I've not even had so much as a CP in all these years.

Sorry, I've gone into babble mode Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/05/2013 15:07

Oh, and yes Beedle first jab is Tuesday morning at an unearthly hour due to airport run

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/05/2013 15:06

Geek that's amazing news!! How exciting! How are you feeling about it?

Solars you poor thing. How are you feeling?

Beedle howarethe ovaries? Grin

Solars · 23/05/2013 14:57

Omg Geek how are you feeling about it all? When do you start stabbing, tmrw? I started on day 2. Still not sure how many days left, will see how the follies are tmrw.

Beedle I have scans every other day so had 1 yesterday and having another tmrw. When is your next scan? So far I only have between 4 & 6 follicles, I had this issue last time, I seem to have quite a few antral follicles but when it comes to stimming not many seem to grow, so I'm hoping quality is good though! It only takes one is my mantra at the moment!

Maybe not long to go!

It was another long morning at the clinic, I had to have an intralipids drip, like you Face as my repeat NK cell tests still showed high levels this morning and I'm also on steroids, clexane and aspirin.

How is everyone else doing?
