Maybe lovely to have you back but sorry to hear the drugs are not agreeing with you. The stimming will definitely be kinder to you. These progesterone gels sounds interesting, errr do they go in the front or back passage? So far the bum bullets have been behaving they've told me to use them the back way so less leakage. I've been lucky that I've not needed the prog injections as they are intra muscular and the needle was at least a couple of inches, I almost fainted when the nurse showed me them!

Face I guess I could test on Sunday at the earliest as that would make me 12dpo but I'm too chicken and probably want to retain the illusion of still being PUPO

Yes it's a blood test Keep

Beedle how are you keeping? Good luck for tmrw, brooking for you!

Geek how were your blood levels and scan today? Are you back again tmrw?

keepitgoing · 04/06/2013 11:56

Good I think maybe! At the stage where you don't look pg, and feel better, so its quite weird... Only 7 weeks till we come home! Can't wait!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/06/2013 11:30

Beedles I think my clinics policy is the same as yours, 15 days post transfer. I also have the progesterone gel. No bum bullets for me either!!

Keep I hope you're right about the stimming being kinder! How is mini keep cooking? When are you coming back to the UK?

keepitgoing · 04/06/2013 10:25

Ooh crazy Swedish progesterone. I think next Sunday will be fine with a decent test.
It sounds like a second sample is not that uncommon there then. I've never heard of it in the UK though.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/06/2013 09:31

I've just checked the paperwork again and it says 15 dpt but I'm sure the nurse yesterday said 16. Whatever I am not testing and then going straight to work, so I'll probably test next Sunday which will be 13 dpc, then if its negative I can kid myself its too early

maybe glad you had a lovely time, sorry you've been feeling so rough on the downregging drugs.

solars no bum bullets here, just some progesterone gel that I have to insert inside me with a strange thing that looks bit like a tampon applicator. But I don't get any waxy leakage like I have read other people complaining about. And they want me to move around after inserting it as it will help my body absorb it Hmm

keep no he's not 18 but I think he wished he was yesterday. They had warned us that we would have to wait around and he might have to give 2 samples but we didn't think it would or could happen.

I don't think they do blood tests on me, maybe if its positive they might, I'll have to ask tomorrow.

cartoontrickster · 04/06/2013 09:30

solars is that ad in the best day to test or the earliest date you could test?

keepitgoing · 04/06/2013 08:57

Omg beedle I am so impressed at mrB, what is he really 18? Poor thing, talk about pressure. I'm brooking he never has to do that again.

maybe! Good to see you and glad you had a lovely time. I'm sorry the downregging is bad, I think stimming is much easier, so hang in there.

My OTD was 14dpEC, but you may remember I had faint lines. solars I guess you have a blood test lined up? I was also too scared to test before good thing too but wanted to know before the afternoon blood test. As we all know sweetie tested v early, but then she is having quads twins.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/06/2013 08:49

Bonjourno brookers! I have missed you all! Though I have been lurking to see how youare all doing!

It's so busy in here! Solars, Geek and Beedle you a all steaming ahead! I cannot wait for all these BFPs that are going to be rolling in soon!

Sorry for the lack of name checking brookers, but I am brooking for you all. Hope your levels have dropped nicely today Geek.

So, I don't think down regging agrees all that much with me. The first 5 days were pretty nasty, hives, constant weeing and this mad feeling like I was on edge. Couldn't sit still. Luckily that's died away to leave me intense tiredness and fatness. Still another 2 weeks of this to go. My poor stomach is already blue from the injections. But Italy was amazing, the wedding was beautiful, and I am one very proud big sister Grin

Solars · 04/06/2013 08:48

Beedle poor MrB and really 16 days after transfer Ours is 15 days after egg collection. Do they give you a test or do you have to go in for a blood test? Also are you on the bum bullets now too?? Hope you start to feel less sore and bloated, plenty of rest for you dear.

Geek we had icsi in the end even though they said the sample was good. Test date is the 12th! I think I'm too scared to test before then.

ControlGeek · 04/06/2013 07:42

beedle OMG poor, poor MrB Blush He is such a trooper managing to give them seconds though. Oh bless him. I can't begin to imagine MrG managing to do that even though he mostly missed the jar the first time he had to JIAJ and had to scrape it up off the floor AND, AND, does your clinic know nothing about brookers? 16 days for pity's sake???? After transfer???????? I think you're right on the stressing less side of things. You already know what day they are going back in, so there isn't the need for constant updates like when they aren't sure. Really hope you feel better soon and that the bloating goes down. Drink lots and lots of water (even though this will make you feel more bloated in the short term).

solars when is your test day (official or otherwise)? Oh, and did you find out whether it was IVF or ICSI in the end?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/06/2013 07:30

Me too keep though in a way the clinic not telling us anything does sort of reduce the stress. If they told us that only, say 4, had fertilised I would spend the whole time worrying that it was all going to go wrong. As it is I can try not to think about it much
My insides are a bit sore, and I seem to already be full of gas Blush and I look rather bloated but I feel well enough to do some work from home today.

Oh and you asked why I thought mrb's sperm were a bit crap, it was because they made him go back to the masturbating room to do another JIAJ. He did say there wasn't much for his first attempt, but he thought he was going to die when they asked for some more 30 mins later. But he managed to do it again which I'm very impressed about. They then made us wait around for ages, even though I was well enough to go home, until we heard from the lab that they were satisfied. I think they just wanted the best possible sperm, not that they couldn't find 12 in the first lot. Mrb says he may never recover :o

geek hope you don't have to wait too long for EC, and I do hope they can get to the ovary with the millions of eggs. Though I don't like to think how sore your insides will be feeling after they have done EC and battered you about to get to both ovaries. I hope they give you more than paracetamol afterwards. But with that many eggs you'll hopefully get enough embryos that you'll never have to do it again.

The clinic has told me I must not test until 16 days after egg transfer ha ha ha

keepitgoing · 04/06/2013 06:35

beedle hoping your eggs have all fertilised overnight. Are you off work today? Feeling OK?

solars just 8 days max

Beedle that is fantastic news, well done you, I hope you can relax now until wednesday! I too can't believe the clinic don't even give you an update tmrw. MrB must also be relieved his duties for now are over.

Geek great to hear things are moving on and that there's still lots of hope this cycle will work out just fine.

Luckily work has kept me busy today and I also managed to have a bit of me time too this afternoon and relax.

Waves to Gen & Face I'm good thanks, I'm on the prednisolone now so worried I may be getting the round face soon!

GenericDietCola · 03/06/2013 18:25

Wow Beedle, a dozen eggs all getting amorous with Mr b's swimmers. Brooking for them!

And Geek, all that brooking has paid off for your ovaries! Brooking for levels to drop so EC won't be delayed too much.

Brooking for everyone else too, especially Solars and the triplets !

ControlGeek · 03/06/2013 16:12

keep no, I'm sure they meant drink lots of wine Grin

keepitgoing · 03/06/2013 15:44

Drink water, not wine... Tut tut.

keepitgoing · 03/06/2013 15:43

Oh beedle well done you!! But what makes you think the sperm weren't brill? Anyway, its icsi. Gosh I can't believe they don't call tomorrow! Rest up.

geek Omg, that's pcos for you... I don't think the eggs die off as it drops, but I don't think people coast for too long usually. If its still high they can collect and not transfer. You will have a high risk of ohss once you trigger, so drink lots and lots. So pleased the heavily laden ovary is in a better place. Wowee!

cartoontrickster · 03/06/2013 13:43

ah ok its a spray! I get it now Blush .
wow geek some of that's a bit over ny head, but sounds good. I'm brooking for both you and beedle
solars how are you? I'm waiting for your bfp announcement!

ControlGeek · 03/06/2013 13:10

Oooh beedle 12!!! That's amazing!!! Brooking like crazy that they get jiggy with MrB's swimmers. Hope you don't feel sore for too long, and are able to get a bit of rest and put your feet up while you can.

I had a bit of a shock in the scan - my right ovary has gone a bit mental! They measured 13 on there, but counted 21 - just on the one ovary! The left still has 5 and they don't appear to have grown since yesterday's scan.

Righty has finally dropped with the weight of all those golden eggs, and the nurses both said that it looked like they can now access it for egg retrieval

Unfortunately, my body's responded so well that they decided it was a good idea to check my estradiol levels, and I've just had the call back to confirm that these are at 22,900. They won't do EC until they have dropped to at least 16,000, so I'm back to playing a waiting game. I have to stop the stims completely, and just keep up with the cetrotide to prevent early ovulation. I need a scan and blood test tomorrow morning, and they have warned me they are expecting to see my E2 levels rise even though I won't be taking any more stims. They should then plateau, and finally drop. I will need daily blood tests to monitor my levels.

So on that basis, I have absolutely no idea when EC will be - but I'm reasonably confident that we will now get eggs! As a rough guide, every 1000 units of E2 represent one egg so I've got potentially 23 of the blighters floating round! Not sure what happens when the E2 levels drop - will the eggs die off? No idea. But they've said it's no reason to cancel the cycle, we just need to coast for a bit until the E2 is more reasonable.

Sorry for the seriously mememe post.

Love and brooking to all, and thank you for the brooking vibes sent in my direction - they are obviously working overtime!!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 03/06/2013 12:53

cartoon i had to spray the downregging drugs up my nose, so they were sniffer drugs which became sniffer dogs :o

I have to say 12 is more than I had thought possible. And as you say sweetie I hope they're all getting jiggy with it :o

cartoontrickster · 03/06/2013 12:33

what are these 'sniffer dogs'?

RubberBullets · 03/06/2013 12:31

12?! It seems like sniffer dogs is the way to go :o

SweetieTime · 03/06/2013 12:12

woo hoo Beedle well done on 12 eggs. hope they are all getting jiggy now. roll on Wednesday

cartoontrickster · 03/06/2013 12:03

wow beedle amazing. hope the soreness doesn't last too long.
