So who's next in line for that BFP???

keepitgoing · 05/06/2013 10:47

I'm not sure maybe but I believe they always overfill the syringes? I would check with the clinic x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/06/2013 10:37

And can I ask a random question. I had a blind panic today. My vials of buserilin are 5.5ml. I am taking 0.5mls a day which should mean 11 doses. Yet I have taken 9 doses and there's more than 2 doses left. So now I'm worried I'm doing it wrong.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/06/2013 10:11

Mynext scan is the 18th Solars, hoping to start stimming on the 19th. Ijustcant believe how tired I am and fat I feel!

I also won't be having a GA for EC. They give a bit of sedation and gas and air.

keepitgoing · 05/06/2013 09:53

geek the Nhs says if you've had the pox not to worry, and even if you've not then to tell mw of significant contact, fifteen no.s with a person. Call your clinic, am sure they'll say its fine.

Solars · 05/06/2013 09:46

Hi Maybe how are you doing? When do you have to go in for your scan?

OP posts:
Solars · 05/06/2013 09:44

I would call your clinic Geek and ask them. We were told to keep away from sick people.

Beedle I can't believe you were awake fr your collection Shock we had to only have a half full bladder which was fine compared to the last time when it had to full and they were running an hour late!

In terms of after the procedure I felt no discomfort whatsoever they did tell us to take paracetamol every 4 hours over the next 24hrs but I didn't apart from in the evening when I felt a little crampy.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/06/2013 09:43

Beedle I am brooking for you today. Roll on 12!!

Keep I'm glad all is coming along well. Are you excited about coming back to the uk?

Solars I cannot wait for confirmation of your BFP.

Geek that's great you've reassured MrG. I'm mr sure about the chicken pox situation. I'm sure someone will be akin with some stellar advice soon

ControlGeek · 05/06/2013 09:32

Crap my colleague's daughter has chicken pox

Linking here for convenience as I'm at work so can't keep everything open constantly.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/06/2013 09:18

Yes I was awake, I just had a couple of paracetamol and some local anesthetic and 2 shots of morphine I was slightly dizzy after each shot of morphine but I could watch on the screen what the doctor was doing and speak to them. Luckily they decided when I went in that we would speak English :o Then when they were done, I walked back to the room and rested in bed for a couple of hours. I was well enough to eat breakfast once MrB came back from JIAJ ( the first time)

ControlGeek · 05/06/2013 09:02

beedle Shock you were awake? The didn't give you a GA?? I'm so glad you mentioned about that feeling, or I am sure if I had it I would be wondering if they had had to retrieve through there rather than up my fanjo! That 1000 thing is good to remember, I shall use that to see just how sensitive these tests are! I have a hot water bottle but it's expected to be very hot here from Thursday/Friday onwards so I don't think I'll be up to it. What time do you need to go back to the clinic for?

keep bless you, that sounds very embarrassing. I've only tried to use a bedpan once, but my bladder had shut down after the op I'd had, so they ended up leaving me on it for the best part of an hour before catheterising me.

Oh, and keep you mentioned about the mat leave spreadsheet - yes, MrG being out of work would seriously change things. However, thanks to the spreadsheet I have now been able to reassure him that whilst things would be painfully tight, we could manage (just, providing we never bought anything for ourselves and lived on a ridiculously small food budget) survive just on my wage. I also pointed out that he could be a SAHD which would mean we would never have childcare costs. Knowing we could survive and keep the house seems to have relaxed him a lot. I would still be able to take 20 weeks' mat leave - not as much as I would like, but still 20 week without dink boss!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/06/2013 08:38

Just to clarify, I don't actually know what it feels like to have something large and pointy poked up my bottom Blush :o

Now I'll stop posting and do some work.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/06/2013 08:23

Oh and geek sometimes it feels like someone has poked something large and pointy up my bottom. I know they didn't cos I was awake the whole time :o but as you won't be awake you might wonder what exactly they were doing to you whilst you were under :o

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/06/2013 08:04

Love the scientific experiment geek I read somewhere that it takes one day for the hcg to reduce by 1000, so after 6 days they should be negative. Then you can start watching for the proper positive :o
They'll only put 1 back this time and freeze a maximum of 3, even if all 12 are still alive and are perfect (as if). I'm hoping we'll get a frostie or two.
Oh and I haven't been in loads of pain, I haven't taken any paracetamol since Monday, but I have been making use of my hot water bottle, I hope you have one. If not go out and buy one today, even better send mrgeek :o

Thanks boo hopefully I'll be having newborn cuddled in 9 months time like you are now.

keepitgoing · 05/06/2013 07:58

beedle my bloating went down a bit, but then was horrendous and also painful from weeks 4-6ish. I looked six months by the evening...

geek good science experiment! Ok so I had to lie there an hour, after 20mins I begged to Ho to the loo and was given a bed pan but I found it hard to empty the bladder lying down, and they'd made me drink so much I needed the loo again really soon... I was so embarrassed I don't know why as they'd all just been looking up my chuff, and only dh was there for the bed pan incident but... Anyway, hope you won't be lying down for ages

ControlGeek · 05/06/2013 07:49

solars those sound like rather convincing symptoms to me - you're 8 DPEC now?

keep I think a lot of clinics just go for the half-full bladder, but mine have said that because of the fibroid mine needs to be full. They seemed pleased when I did a trial transfer last year (It was full to bursting) but I have no idea how I would be supposed to lie with it full for a whole hour - I was terrified of letting it all fly in the consultant's face as it was Blush

beedle brook brook brooking for you this afternoon my lovely. With all those eggs, they should have a strong chance of being able to pick the best, most developed one. Do you know how many they will put back, or is that all dependent on emby quality? Thank you for the warning, btw. I'd rather know in advance that I will feel like shit, than have it take me by surprise afterwards iykwim.

sweetie yes, I have arranged a lot of time off. I will be out of the office from this Thursday to a week on Friday. I will then be in the office for 4 days brooking like mad that AF doesn't show up on 13DPEC as that would be within those 4 days then I'm out of the office on annual leave for a week and a day, hopefully to coincide with my finding out if it has worked or not.

I couldn't resist this morning. 5000iu of HCG coursing through my veins, of course I was going to take a test! Took an IC and a Morrisons special, purely in the interests of science, of course. The IC showed a line within 30 seconds. The Morrisons special took just over a minute to start to show. 10 minutes later, the IC line is marginally darker than the Morrisons special, though both are strong lines. IC is purportedly 10iu sensitivity and Morrisons is 15iu so maybe that accounts for the difference. Am going to keep testing now until the sticks show clear.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/06/2013 07:18

Brooking super hard for this afternoon Beedle :)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/06/2013 06:36

Yeah geek no more injections, enjoy your drug-free day :o I would think you will feel pretty battered afterwards, mine was very easy with half as many eggs and I feel like I've been punched in the stomach a few times.

Can someone tel me when the bloating goes away, I look pregnant

solars sounds promising How many days post EC are you now? 8, 9?

sweetie so far the gel hasn't been messy at all. The nurse said it would feel like it was all falling out but that didn't matter. But, so far, I've hardly leaked at all. I even went back and pulled the dispenser out of the bin to check the gel had actually gone inside me Blush And I only have to do it once per day, which is good cos I couldn't discreetly slip one in my pocket to take to the loo at work.

So ET this afternoon, as long as I don't get a call at 12 to say there's nothing left to transfer. Please don't let that happen. So hopefully I will be PUPO this afternoon :o :o

keep I just have to not go to the toilet one hour beforehand, they didn't even tell me to drink that much wine The nurse said I should just feel a little bit in need of the toilet, not absolutely desperate. I guess the doctor doesn't want pee in their face :o

Oh and sweetie I'm glad someone else was asked to provide a second sample, though I don't think Mrb realised he could say no.

keepitgoing · 05/06/2013 02:55

Ooh solars!!! Crosses fingers even tighter...

And geek what brilliant news on EC!

beedle hops all goes well today. Having a full bladder for an hour and having to use a, cringe, bedpan was the worst part of the whole ivf for me! But I think most clinics don't fill you up as much, or make you lie down so long.

Vivid dreams, definitely a symptom, it really is, s remember posting about stupid vivid dreams while I was on holiday then got home and got my BFP :):):)

Solars · 04/06/2013 21:22

Yay Geek you're triggering tonight, well done, lovely!! Well in terms of symptoms, errrm tmi alert, but this morning I woke up horny as hell and I've also been having very vivid dreams and I also got cm today with the tiniest smudge of brown in it, but I don't really think any of them count Hmm

Sweetie I think I'll be too terrified to test early. How many weeks are you now?

OP posts:
SweetieTime · 04/06/2013 19:37

Geek great news on the trigger shot front. I can imagine you will be sore so hope you have the time off sorted with dinkboss.

Maybe lovely to see you, Italy sounds amazing. Shame the downregging is tough but it will make stimming seem like a breeze.

Beedle my DH was asked if he wanted to provide a 2nd sample but refused and obviously they got enough from the first one. Well done MrB I can imagine it must have been a struggle for him.

Solars I think I was 12dpEC when I tested. I would recommend a good quality stick rather than IC as we all know how unpredicatable they can be.

I have started weening off the progesterone I am on but never heard of the gel before. You will have to let us know how messy it is. I am sick of the fall out of the capsules I am using but it will be worth it in the long run.

RubberBullets · 04/06/2013 18:34

That's fab news Geek. Pesky people expecting you to work while at work :o

ControlGeek · 04/06/2013 17:48

solars I've just seen your post about the progesterone injections

ControlGeek · 04/06/2013 17:47

Oooh solars not long to go now!! How are you feeling about it all? Too early to symptom spot no doubt who'm I trying to kid?

maybe!!! Lovely to see you back, I'm so pleased the wedding went well (and of course that you had a fab holiday). I'm really sorry down-regging isn't agreeing with you, they do seem to be the harder drugs to stomach. Not long to go though, lovely, then you'll be on the lovely stims which will make you feel so much better.

beedle your plan sounds like a good'un - I don't think I'd be able to work after the official test either. I think they make OTD so late so that there are no chances of false tests in either direction (from the trigger or false negs). Wow to your progesterone tampons, they certainly do things differently in Sweden, don't they?

keep 7 weeks? Eeeek! Can't wait to have lunch with you and sparks - when will you start house hunting? When does MrK's job start?

As for me... you lovely ladies have triumphed again with your brooking vibes. My hormones have actually dropped a little, and my consultant has booked me in for EC on this Thursday! The nerves are really kicking in now. No more scans, no more blood tests, just cetrotide and trigger shot tonight then brook like mad that righty remains accessible for the op. I have been warned that I will feel like I've done a few rounds with Frank Bruno, because they know they will need to do a lot of manipulation to get around the fibroid. But the main thing is, they believe that they will be able to. I am beside myself with glee, and was desperate to share this with you since the call came through around 3pm, but bloody people have been at my bloody desk all bloody day damn them Grin
