So who's next in line for that BFP???

ControlGeek · 11/06/2013 12:46

Cups that's so sweet of mrc. Mrg came to all pf my appointments but that's mainly because I don't drive and the clinic is miles from a train station. Do as the othrs have said before the scan. At my clinic they were ecer so gentle and even apologosed for making me bleed... Af was in town, what dis they expect?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 12:32

Little I must say, I was by no means referring to you when talking about Geek's little friend Wink

That's lovely of MrC Cups. I'm so pleased I don't mind stabbing myself, MrM says there is no way he could've done it wuss

TheLittleFriend · 11/06/2013 12:04

Really pleased to hear you're starting this cycle Cups.

And great scan news Trix.

Super sonic brooking for solars tomorrow morning Smile

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/06/2013 11:33

Thanks everyone Smile I wasn't feeling excited tbh but DH is pretty excited. He wanted to take time off work to come for the scan tomorrow but I've told him there is no point. He's booked time off for the teach, I think he actually wants to stab me! I don't think ill need him to do any injections but I might have to let him so he feels involved Grin

Solars well done for resisting the urge to test. I'm brooking for a lovely hard earned BFP for you and MrS tomorrow.

Geek that is the worst case of imp fingers I have ever read Shock I forgot to send my sympathies over Percy. I am unfortunately no stranger to the little blighters. I've even been admitted to hospital once with a particularly painful totally embarrassing episode Confused

keepitgoing · 11/06/2013 11:14

Yay cups!!! I think go for a wee, take out tampon, have pad, wipe self with pad just before taking off knickers. They've seen it all and worse before...

solars pretty much everyone freaks out about cramping around bfp time.

Poor geek. I think I had cramps maybe two days post 5dt.

Solars · 11/06/2013 11:00

Fantastic news Cups Im so happy for you that you get to start!! Don't worry about the scan, i'm sure they are used to it, I had to have a scan early in my cycle too. Brooking all goes well tomorrow afternoon!

Keep that's very encouraging.

Maybe & Cups I'm feeling ok so far, have been busy with work this morning and still have a fair bit more to do today which is good. Not sure how i'll be this evening though or waiting for the call tomorrow Confused

Geek I know I can't believe it either, we had another discussion last night about testing today but DH is still saying no, which suits me to keep the illusion a little longer. I was however tempted to PIAR with an opk this morning. What will be will be and I keep thinking that at least the clinic will have gathered a lot of information for the next cycle should we need it. Hope your new found friends bugger off soon!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 10:27

Geek I love your imp gingers Grin. Fingers crossed your other embie is doing well. I'm going to assign Percy as a 'lucky pile'. Like a mascot. I love your science experiments. I def reckon your delivery would arrive at the weekend. The only tests I have in the house are 2 CBDs. I haven't PIACC for over a year now Grin

ControlGeek · 11/06/2013 10:08

Am on phone so apola for imp gingers and fprgetting what I have just read!

Cups that is fabulous, wonderful news! So pleased your clinic didn't dare turn ypu sown ahain. Their processes could do with a bit of revision, you'd think they'd understand how much extra stress they are causing people.

Gen I can't believe five minths has gome by already! Congratulations :)

Solars omg OTD has come round so quickly. You are so brave to not be testing yourself.Try not to worry too much abput other people knowing the dates, I am sure they will understand that this is an incredibly private time for you and dh, regardless of the outcome (which will be a bfp), and will give you whatever time you need. So sorry about your cycle buddy's news.

Maybe well done on cd1, I am sure the dr drugs probably had something to do eumith it baing delayd.

My froend percy and his mates are still eith me so will probably be in bed most of the day again. Si much for a ni e week off work :(

V faint line on ic the nmorning, maybe a tiny bit stronger than my evaps but came up within the time limit. Nada on morrisons own. Only habe 6 ics left. If I putan order in today I wonder if it will arrive by the weekend?

When did everyone else start cranping? I've been having mild ones all night. Oddly enough I feel less pg than the months where we're just dtd. Need to ring clinic today to find out if 6cell made it to blastocyst stage.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 10:06

Oh Cups this is amazing news!!!! Hurrah!! As for the scan, I wouldn't worry, I had my first one early on too, really wasn't too bad. You need to have a wee before the scan anyway, so you could always sort yourself out then?

LP does start on day 21. Maybe she will give you your first jab? I'm so excited for you. How are you feeling?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/06/2013 09:43

TMI alert-I'm worried about the scan as I've never had one so early in my cycle. My AF is quite heavy for the first few days so I'm unsure what I should do about sanitary wear Blush any advice brookers?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/06/2013 09:40

Cartoon that's wonderful news. How have you been feeling?

Solars I really don't want anyone to know the exact dates either. It's just too much pressure either way. How are you feeling?

Kitty I know how frustrating the waiting is. I hope you have lots going on over the summer to keep you busy.

Well I need lots of brooking. AF turned up yesterday. The clinic called me this morning and I've now got a scan and bloods booked for tomorrow afternoon. If the results are ok, I will have my teach on the 1st July. I'm meant to be on long protocol which I assume would start on day 21 which is the 1st July. I asked the nurse would I be starting down regulation straight after teach but she didn't seem to understand me so ill have to ask tomorrow when I go in.

keepitgoing · 11/06/2013 08:53

solars, I had cramping before and after bfp. Xxxx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 08:50

Oh and Gen 5 months?! No way Shock hope you are all doing well x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 08:49

Oh Solars that's so sad. This is such a difficult process. I am brooking so hard for you tomorrow. How are you feeling?

I am hoping to count today as CD1. How ironic that I haven't been this late for over 2 years Grin

How are you feeling Beedle?

How is your little friend Geek Wink

Great news Face

Solars · 11/06/2013 08:43

Great scan news Face how exciting!

Gen really 5 months? where has the time gone?

Kitty I don't mind DH telling people about the ivf I was just concerned he was telling them all the details of dates and putting pressure on us to also have to answer to them when we get the news. September is only 3 months to go. But I can understand how frustrating waiting can be, hang on in there!

How are you doing Beedle? has the cramping stopped?

Are you doing ok Geek?

Maybe did your AF turn up?

Well I had some mild cramping yesterday afternoon and evening, felt like AF was on its way. Nothing this morning, I'm not sure if its a good sign or not. Also found out one of the girls I was cycling with at the clinic got a bfn yesterday, she started bleeding yesterday and they told her to come in for a blood test, she's devastated :(

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 07:04

Excellent news cartoon Thanks
Do the meds continue until 12 weeks or is it even longer?

Testing schedule is:
solars tomorrow Shock
me Thursday 20th (or earlier if I'm feeling brave)
geek 21st/22nd every day :o

BlindKitty · 10/06/2013 18:45

geek ooh didn't know you'd had et. How soon can you poas with ivf? Or is that a silly question?!

solars tbh I'd prob be a little annoyed if dh told his family even though its fine for me to tell anyone I please. However, remember we all have each other to talk to, our dh's only have us so might need to talk to someone else from time to time

scarlett you sound like your on a roll! You go girl!!! Do you think you'll try another iui when you're ready? Wondering whether to disengage too, given my iui prob won't happen for ages

keep still waiting. I get a call apparently. Called the nurse and she said it would prob be more like sept when I start ffs!!! How you keeping?

cartoon hey you! So pleased you're doing well!

cartoontrickster · 10/06/2013 14:55

hi Grin. just thought you may all like to know I've had a scan today all looks good at 8+2. I'm now lying down with am intralipid drip in my arm.
I've missed loads here (again).
can't wait for the bfps to be confirmed. what's the testing schedule? theres so much excitment going on here I'm so happy that things are moving forward for so many of you.
scarlett its lovely to see you popping in.
cups any news? how's work, are you all settled now?
how are all the pupo's?
sorry I've only skimmed throughBlush

GenericDietCola · 10/06/2013 14:47

Just popping in to offer sympathies to Geek. You need Sudocrem for your little friend. Works v well and no risk to Englebert. I'm not pile obsessed, honest.

Brooking for Solars and Beedle too.

Also cups, hope you get an ironic BFP and. if not, an acceptance for this cycle.

Maybe, I'm brooking for you too and Mr m's sperm!

Scarlett, take care and take your time.

DS is over 5 months now and eating solid food, can you believe it! I still lurk here all the time to hear your news.

Solars · 10/06/2013 14:30

Oh no Geek that does not sound like fun, lets hope MrG gets the meds ASAP! You poor thing after everything you've been through already with the ivf!

Maybe I'm sure all will go to plan and it will be a few years to come for your second round anyway. It sounds like a common thing having frozen sperm I remember my clinic asking the question if our sample was going to be fresh or frozen when we went in for our egg collection.

I have done quite a bit of work this morning surprisingly, off to the shops and then I think I'll have a listen to my relaxation cd this afternoon.

ControlGeek · 10/06/2013 13:57

Xpost maybe so pleased you and mrm have agreed on the way forward. I think it helps to see first hand other families that aren't necessarily 100% blood relatikns dping well though. Just because you have a backup doesn't mean you will have to use it, it's more like a mental safety net for your own sanity. Brooking that any futute cycles are purely because ypu want extra siblings :)

ControlGeek · 10/06/2013 13:52

Lol at the thought that beedlemight be embarrassed of the word poo after going throught ivf (grin) I think only some kinds hurt all the time. Mine keeps popping out and swelling which is why it hurts (blush)

Boo carrying pots of pee around I can cope with, but I really need Percy to fuck the fuck off to the far side off fuck or whatever the classic mn phrase is!

Keep I think it's either from using the pessaries, or my desperate bid to get rid off the constipation. My money's on the latter :(

Hope all the other brookers are having a good day :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/06/2013 13:48

Oh Geek you poor thing. I have never had piles, so I have no idea how awful it must be. I hope MrG is back very soon with bum-soothing supplies.

Keep I think you are right, the second doc was very much a 'blunt, cover all eventualities' type. The nurses were far more positive though, so I suppose we just wait and see. We managed to get 2 vials, so it wasn't terrible! We have both decided that for the second round, MrM will have another procedure, and we will have back-up for that cycle. And the sperm they did get were apparently good quality, so fingers crossed. There just seem to be so many hurdles at which you can fall. But we are so determined to get a baby that we will do whatever it takes. MrM has really come round to the donor idea. I think it helps that one of his best friends has 3 adopted children, and he can see how much he loves them

keepitgoing · 10/06/2013 13:19

Poor geek, is it from the treatment?

maybe don't feel pressured into using donor sperm if you're not both comfortable with it. Better to wait. From a brief search it seems most of the sperm will survive the thaw usually, and you don't need many. Then, freezing eggs, its true they don't thaw as well as embies, but its still quite good odds. It's most likely the second doc is just trying to cover all eventualities. Do you not have someone lined up then? I'd say just try not to think about it, as you've done all you can. But am a head in sand type around ivf... X

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/06/2013 13:09

I hate to say it ladies but after your BFP's you may want to get used to carrying little pots of pee in your handbag, your mw will want one at every appointment.

Geek so sorry you have a Percy, they're not pleasant at all, I think I had farmer Giles' whole family at one point Blush really really painful :( get well soon.
