So who's next in line for that BFP???

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 17:53

Cups we were told no unprotected sex from when we started treament, not that we can get diffed on our own! I have 31 day cycles and still started on day 21. Normally, once AF arrives, you go in for another baseline scan, and then start stimming. But if your clinic needs to keep you down regging for a bit longer so they can fit EC in, then you can dr for longer. I know Beedle and I have DRd for longer than needed

ControlGeek · 11/06/2013 17:42

Aww biscuits they're growing up so fast!!! I can't believe how the time has flown.

cups I've not heard that one before, but I've no personal experience of DRing. I was sure I remembered someone saying that a lady on another thread got her BFP whilst DRing though, with no issue I could be completely wrong about this

Biscuitsandtea · 11/06/2013 17:27

All good here thanks Geek - DS2 is walking now and DS1 is zooming towards school..... ConfusedGrin.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/06/2013 17:26

Oh my god! Biscuits it's lovely to hear from you. I hope you are well? How are your lovely boys? We really miss you around here.

Beedle my cycle is pretty average these days (it used to be longer). When I rung yesterday to request treatment they asked for the last 3 dates of AF. My last 3 cycles have been 30 days so maybe they will start my DR on day 23. I'll ask when I go to tomorrow. I'm obviously worried that I might not be able to start this month. They have said I'm not allowed to have unprotected sex from now on until the end of the first cycle. Has anyone else been told this? I might have to buy some condoms!

Maybe do you wait for AF to arrive before starting stimms? I'm not sure how that part of the protocol works

Geek poor you! I hope whatever the doctor has given you helps.

ControlGeek · 11/06/2013 17:25

biscuits!!! So lovely to see you around, even if only briefly. I hope you staying away from FB and MN doesn't mean anything is wrong (((hugs)))

Oh Geek you poor, poor thing. I'm pleased you have something to help. Bloody Percy! Can he not see you have more pressing things to be dealing with?!

Sweetie I'm so pleased you're feeling so well.

Solars what time are your bloods being taken tomorrow? I hope it doesn't take long for them to come back. My stomach is covered in bruises from the jabs. But I only have to touch myself and I get a bruise!

ControlGeek · 11/06/2013 15:47

ooh ladies, so chatty today! Not sure I can keep up, though back on laptop briefly so my post may make vague sense :)

beedle my appt with the embryologist pre-transfer was also very rushed, with no opportunity to talk afterwards. There were several times that I tried to ask questions but she just steamrollered on. Wish we could have seen the same embryologist who did our initial 2 hr consultation, she was fab. If you've any burning questions though, do ring your clinic. That's what they are there for. I love your way of doing prescriptions, very organised.

solars brooking like you wouldn't believe for your result tomorrow. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for the scan to find out how many are in there :)

Spoke to the clinic a little while ago. We don't have any frosties. The six-cell got as far as 10 cells but didn't make it to blastocyst, and the others only made it to 2, 3 and 5 cells then stopped developing. She did say that what was put back in was a very good quality embryo though, so not to lose heart on that basis.

Percy is now a DEP (Dr Endorsed Pile). I called my GP surgery for advice because it was so painful, and I wanted to know I was ok to take the cream given ET and they told me to come straight in for an exam. Dr was really lovely, took one look at it and said 'oh, that's huge! It looks really painful...' I now have more bum bullets to help with that, so it's a good job the cyclogest has switched to the front!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 11/06/2013 14:52

Brooking for a good result tomorrow Solars I can't believe you didn't cave! Good luck.

Cups bloody fantastic you finally get to join the assisted party! About time, well done :):)

Beedle good luck to you too, when is test day? Can't be long.

Geek hope you get to evict Percy very soon.

Sorry this is just a quick one, my phone lost my lovely witty post earlier :( and now K needs feeding, catch up later.

DinoSnores · 11/06/2013 14:48

Just popping in to Brook for a good result for Solars tomorrow. You sound very, very calm!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 14:31

solars you have nerves of steel :o

Solars · 11/06/2013 14:16

Yep Beedle they've already given me a blood form so I need to go the clinic in the morning, get my bloods taken and then wait for them to call me with the results, from what I've read it can take 3-4 hours before they call you! I like that centralised system for your prescriptions what a lot of hassle that must save! Could you ring the clinic now to find out what happens?

Thanks Little & Sweetie And Sweetie how lucky being symptom free! How was your recent scan?

If i didn't have work Maybe I think I'd be climbing up the walls by now!

Cups DH started off with doing the jabs for me in my first cycle so he felt he was involved and then he kept hurting me by going through blood vessels and putting it in at strange angles and giving me bruises and he's a dr so I took back control!

I have had a bit of a panic today as I lost my schedule for weening of the meds. I only had it Friday but it has now disappeared. I rang the clinic and they told me over the phone.

I am doing great I am one of the lucky ones who wasn't sick. I felt a bit sick two days in a row and that was it. All the months spent symptom spotting and now I have very few. I am not complaining I know I am very lucky.
Cannot wait for you all to be getting your BFPs and joining us over on the other thread.
Hugs to each and every one of you

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 14:09

Ah, that's good. I totally understand being shocked. It's always afterwards that all the questions come

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 13:53

Oh and I'm not worried about getting another crinone prescription, I'll be able to pick it up from any pharmacy that stocks it about 5 mins after the dr has written it. Its all done in a centralised system so I won't actually need to go to the hospital

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 13:51

I don't think so, the actual EC and transfer we did in English :o They were running a bit late and I didn't realise until it was too late that they we were just going straight home with no chánce to ask any more questions. To be honest we were both a bit shocked at the poor fertilistation rate that we didn't really think about anything else at the time.

I think they will do a scan at 7 weeks, but I can't find anything written down about that - it had better not be 8 weeks as I'll be away!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 13:45

Oh Beedles that sounded very rushed! Is it a language thing do you think? That's the same policy as my clinic. Though I have 30 days supply of Crinone. I think they ask you back for a very early scan a few weeks later

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 13:41

maybe with my clinic its POAS (my own stick, they don't even provide one, but I have a special brookers endorsed FRER from olives) and then ring them with the result. After that whether its positive or negative I have no idea but I only have enough progesterone gel to last me until test day, so I hope they sort out a prescription for more nice and quickly.

I was going to ask them what happens when we went for ET but they just sent me into get changed, then we had a 5 min discussion on how badly my eggs had fertilised and did we want to put 2 back, then up on the bed for ET, hop down again get changed and go home. No time for any discussion on what happens next Shock

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/06/2013 13:14

Beedle, what is your clinics policy with testing, I have forgotten?

I think you are being very calm Solars. The fact you are managing to get work done is impressive!

How are you feeling Sweetie?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/06/2013 13:09

cups Fab news they have accepted you :o
Are your cycles particularly long/short? Cos my day 21 start was actually CD 18 (due to my ridiculously short cycles). Don't want to worry you, and I really hope they let you start straight away but I don't want your hopes to be crushed on the day.
MrB came to virtually all my appointments, and even stabbed himself with one of my spare (unused!) needles, just to see what it felt like :o

Love the imps fingers geek hope you feel better soon.

Still feeling rather periody (no bleeding though) but generally I'm feeling OK, sometimes I even manage to work for 5 mins without thinking about everything :o

solars I have everything crossed for tomorrow. maybe I misunderstood but are you just going to wait for the call from the clinic rather than POAS at home first Shock

SweetieTime · 11/06/2013 13:06

Solars I second what keep says about cramping. I had cramps for ages, I was convinced af was about to turn up. I even asked the nurse at my 7 week scan. she said it is a combination of the progesterone and everything stretching to make room for embies. I wouldn't see it as a bad thing. Good luck for tomorrow.

Cup exciting that you are starting this time. You will be happily jabbing away before you know it. My DH came with me to the teach too but never did any of my jabs. He did have to sit with me once for my first certrotide jab on the instructions of the clinic.

Geek hope Percy and his mates leave you alone very soon. Fingers crossed that the other embies get to blasto
