Anyone read this? It is a free leaflet on iBooks.

It basically says a lot of people stop trying too early after their positive OPK, and that ovulation can be delayed, so to try for 5 days after (missing day 4).

I'm trying it this month, anyone currently in their fertile period want to join me?!

CD 18 here signs ov had reflexology yesterday to help all things! Dtd daily DH and I are worn out! Hoping for. BFP for a rest! Wink

Gutted :-(

Am camping at the mo so taken my mind off it a bit, will be day 10 when I return and check out OV.

Am convinced didn't do it enough after my Peak last month so will make more of an effort this time around!

EPO is helping my CM too (sorry TMI).

I will be testing Saturday or Monday (getting up at 4am Sunday for a flight!!) if AF doesn't turn up first.

I think the theory is that your lh surge can last for 72hrs (ie three days) do if you catch the beginning of the surge you get those three covered. If you catch middle/end of surge you have been doing it every other day so there will be sperm hanging around.

I think the last day is to account for variations in cycles and delayed ovulation to cover all bases! As the authour found that lots of people stop too soon!

Hope that makes sense.

Does anyone know why the SMEP says that, after the pos opk you do it every day for three days then skip and day and do it once more... why skip a day???

Ah sorry Lottie! But remember it is not over until the fat lady (in this case AF) sings.

I am feeling very crampy this evening so think AF might be on her way a whole week early :-(

Okay, I'm officially into my hysterical symptom-spotting phase. Funny tummy today for a bit, hoping implantation and not another early AF (21 day cycle last month!)

Chanderlier - The basics are - start BDing on day 8 and then do it every other day until you get a +ve OPK, then do it 3 nights in a row, miss a day and then one more time. I might have messed up this month though, didn't do the 3rd night or the night after - and my DH is out tonight! Although did manage a couple of nights before I got my High Fertility on my monitor, which I'm hoping has increased my chances!

Beccadugs - you okay?! Sounds terrible - maybe rest tonight and get back to it tomorrow!!

Wrighty - I am gutted I've missed the last few nights, would have forced the issue tonight but DH is out :-(

Hi, I think it was worth a try. A friend of mine said that she missed her ovulation and tried 3 days later just in case and got caught, so may be worth a try?! Good luck xxx

Hi Lottie! Finally for a positive yesterday, so DTD! Second day today has been scuppered by me splendiferous most of the morning in AE with a biliary colic attack! All fine now, but excruciating and frightening at the time.

Did you test again yet Beccadugs?

I used Boots OV tests this month along with my CBFM, no positives, along the line was definitely stronger on the day I had my Peaks with the monitor ...
