Buzzy that is great news Smile

buzzybee123 · 04/06/2013 11:10

ok ladies, the baby is measuring about 2mm smaller than it should, supposedly ivf babies do Hmm maybe they said that to make me feel better but there was a heartbeat today which is pretty good for 6w1d, now just have to hang onto my sanity until next wednesday,

if people haven't been through any of this then they don't understand and for ssome people they don't want to sadly

mrsden · 04/06/2013 10:45

Remind yourself it's the hormones rabbits, things will look brighter In a few days. I also don't imagine it ever working, with a failed ivf behind me I think things look grim. But then I remind myself of gin and doll and sar.

Great news you ave the all clear. I'll try and post again after work.

ThatWayMadnessLies · 04/06/2013 10:40

Here with a hand to hold buzzy.

rabbit you'll be feeling extra emotional after yesterday. so sorry you had to go through it. We are all here for each other though and friendships can be reinvigorated. This is just a really shitty patch for us all to get through xx

have to run. back later.

rabbitonthemoon · 04/06/2013 10:37

Den yes I have the all clear. I should keep reminding myself that! I am glad of you lot today. I can't imagine my luck turning. Euro, yes my friends are busy with small babies and really don't get it as they conceived so easily. I think I'm quite hurt by their lack of sensitivity and caring actually. Period hormones are gloomy buggers!

mrsden · 04/06/2013 10:32

Hoping its nothing buzzy. You know that spotting is common but that won't put your mind at rest,

Rabbit, I'm sorry you've bad to go through a horrible proceedure yet again, have you had t he results yet. I feel lonely too, we are here for each other though. I've drifted away from most of my friends Sad

EuroShaggleton · 04/06/2013 10:08

rabbit that all sounds really scary. I'm glad you've got the all clear now. Sorry to hear that AF got you after the lack of spotting gave you hope. This never gets any easier does it?

I recognise what you say about drifting away from friends - they all have families now and are busy with small children, so I see them less, and have less in common with them.

buzz we're here to hand hold. I second everything Nelly said.

rabbitonthemoon · 04/06/2013 09:52

Me too buzzy sorry this continues to be a stressy journey.

Thanks so much nelly feeling really lonely with all this today. I feel like I've drifted so far away from my friends Sad

MuddyWellyNelly · 04/06/2013 09:45

Oh Buzzy. There's nothing I can say. I'm just holding your hand and wishing it all works out. (You know that plenty people spot, etc etc, but I know that is not enough reassurance) .

Rabbit I'm so sorry about witch AF. I have had those months and they are the worst. Pre this IVF I had no spotting and my longest natural cycle ever. Hope is a dangerous thing. Much love and squeezy hugs.

Gotta go just now but will try to post later.

buzzybee123 · 04/06/2013 07:27

i am spotting again Sad

rabbitonthemoon · 03/06/2013 18:19

Thanks gin. I feel like I might cry easily. But haven't. Ttc has hardened me! Critter, mash for breakfast? Stomach wobble!

GinSoaked · 03/06/2013 17:47

Bloody hell rabbit. Sounds totally terrifying, but hurrah for the good result. I really do wish you weren't having to deal with this on top of everything else. Stupid AF. It always seems to know the worst time to turn up.

euro I'm gonna make that apple cake next weekend, yum!

buzzy all your symptoms sounds very promising and I'm really pleased to hear you are feeling a bit happier. Step away from the CBs! They are evil and not to be relied upon! I am continuing to have everything crossed for you.

Mashed pots for breakfast critter? I too am a carbs girl and have been eating crisps cake, bread, cookies for breakfast.

rabbitonthemoon · 03/06/2013 16:25

Just bobbing in to say glad to hear the symptoms are back buzzy and gin I was so glad read about your scan. Madness your fitness outs me to shame. I've had a horrible procedure at hospital today not down below for a change with a good outcome but grim nonetheless. With well exectued timing my period came in the middle of it after no spotting. As a regular spotter I have found the no spotting a little too exciting so am now spending the obligatory day in the tent. But at least I am well and not dying. It was a bit scary at one point and as I lay there wetting myself it was something ominous, infertility was put into perspective. This blind sighting has not lasted well, I need to do some talking to myself. Sorry, what a not very cheery post!

buzzybee123 · 03/06/2013 15:45

i'm still eating Hmm could be your miracle updiff cycle euro

buzzybee123 · 03/06/2013 15:29

I honestly have not stopped eating Hmm this could be your pre ivf updiff cycle euro

EuroShaggleton · 03/06/2013 14:48

That's great news buzz (well apart from the bit about you feeling crap, of course). I'm glad the EPAU is being helpful.

Yes, not long now. Period due in about a week, then I'll be back on it!

buzzybee123 · 03/06/2013 14:15

euro Well I am calmer today, got back to 3+ on the digi, and feel pretty crap, alot more sickness/indigestion and I'm eating for Africa too[ Hmm I keep waking up at 5.51 am a bit like in the Amityville horror Hmm

I just hope the calmness will last, EPAU actually called me today they are being really good,

not long till you are back on the rollercoaster

EuroShaggleton · 03/06/2013 13:58

critter sorry you are feeling pukey. But it is probably a good sign that the hormone levels are high. I hope the OHSS does sort itself out.

I'm feeling quite chilled about this cycle (although I will still clearly flip out when EC rolls around). I think it's easier once you know what is coming.

buzz how are you feeling today?

TW! how are you doing?

buzzybee123 · 03/06/2013 13:47

madness I am exhausted just thinking or exercise Hmm I'm too scared to stand to the scales but with eating and drugs I must be a size bigger already Shock

critter i'm still on the hummus and toast or anything stoggie Hmm

teu you must nearly be on Mat leave now, when is your due date

CritterPants · 03/06/2013 12:54

Very impressed by mad's cycle ride, it's so nice to exercise in the fresh air. I also loved all the food talk here over the weekend! Shopping sounds great too. I love having new clothes!

Just popping in very quickly as I'm leaving for a work trip in a few hours and won't be back until Friday. Huge hug to buzzy, thinking of you honey. I really hope that you can get some reassurance soon - my heart goes out to you, you've had such a stressful and upsetting time.

euro the countdown begins! I know that starting a cycle is a really anxious time so I am hoping that you can find some ways to relax and distract yourself over the next week and a half.

gin the doctor said the OHSS will go away in a few weeks - as my uterus gets bigger, apparently it will then squash out the fluid that's in my abdomen. Had a lovely breakfast of mashed potato Hmm which seems to be one of the things that doesn't make me queasy at the moment.

ThatWayMadnessLies · 03/06/2013 12:23

Afternoon all on a quiet Monday morning.

Struggling to sit down today after a cycling a really long way yesterday. weather was glorious and we managed our first bbq of the year. I will feel fit again post ivf. Bbq was relatively healthy and have packed gym kit for after work.

Hope you're ok this morning buzzy.

TeuchterWahine · 03/06/2013 00:04

Gosh lots been going on. I think I've missed a few bfps gin sarlat and critter Congrats!
Buzzy I'm sorry it's being so stressful. Unfair doesn't go close.
euro ooh prawns, yum.
doll 20 weeks, excellent news.
Waves to all you lovely ladies.

EuroShaggleton · 02/06/2013 18:16

Gin it's a Leith's recipe - Dutch Spiced Apple Cake, basically a sponge with a cinammony apple topping.

Yep that's right, as soon as AF arrives, I will call the clinic and that will hopefully be the start of the next cycle. AF is expected in about 10 days, so not too long to go.

buzz bringing the scan forward if you can sounds like a good plan. They should be able to see in a week whether or not the measurements have changed. Hope you are doing ok. x

buzzybee123 · 02/06/2013 14:21

thanks ladies, I don't really want to spend anymore time than I have to up at EPAU, its been the barer of bad news too often and at the most I might get a blood test but I don't really want to sit up there with all those other women if I don't have to, I shall see if they will move the scan forward

GinSoaked · 02/06/2013 09:02

I finally have time to do a catch up!

mad sorry to hear that your cycle is playing silly buggers. It must be so frustrating, not knowing what's going on. I guess your body has been through so much, with the extended down regging and all the ivf hormones being thrown at it, no wonder it's a bit confused. Grab that follow up appointment! I did think it sounded odd just to throw you into the next cycle, with no review of the previous.

critter how are you doing lady? Your ohss sounds horrible. I hope you aren't in a lot of pain. Are they doing anything about it, or just monitoring it?

Chocolate creme brûlée sounds amazing mrsd! Hope you aren't feeling too down.

euro are you just waiting for AF now to start the next natural ivf? Apple cake, mmmm. I've got into baking recently (much to dave's pleasure) and apple and cake sounds like it combines the 2 things I feel like eating at the mo!

buzzy I've been thinking of you lots. Will they give you a scan this week? I'm sorry to hear that Barry's not going to be about. You really need support at this stressful time. Is there anyone who can go to the scans with you? Big big hugs.

Not long til Colin is returned to his ancestral home pout! I'm still surprised /impressed at the thoroughness of the NHS with the cycle monitoring. My clinic were happy to bung the frostie in straight away! I hope the dog has recovered from his er yellow incident! That makes it sound worse than it was...

rabbit loving the idea of fertility willy pics in our 10+ers clinic! Could we have some pics of hot men too? Just to er liven it up a bit. I reckon iui would be a piece of piss to do and can't believe how much they charge for it. I'd be more scared of the ivf knitting needle. Sorry to hear about your further investigations. Sounds scary and totally not what you need. Can't believe your private appt is being slow to come through too.

Waves to doll. You give me such hope that ivf pregnancies can work out and be normal. 20 weeks already, wow. Sounds like you have exciting hectic times coming up.

nelly hope you are ok. Amazon emailed me about trading in my Zita west books yesterday! Think I'm gonna do it, unless anyone on here wants them? Even if this doesn't work out, I think I could now write the bloody book!

lemons at root canal. My wisdom tooth keeps playing up, but I'm too scared to have it out after the hideousness of the last extraction! I have everything crossed for your pre ivf ironi-diff.

grouch 20 weeks until a scan?! I'd be wall licking mad by then! Have you got a date for yours?

sar hope you are still feeling a bit better chuck. Although I still feel sick a lot, 10 weeks seemed to be the peak.

Waves to everyone I've missed. Hope joy had a fab holiday.

Hope you don't mind me still hanging round here. I like what rabbits said bout the Fred - I'd miss you all if I left!
