Spent most of yesterday feeling very sick. Caved this morning and POAS stupid BFN Hmm

I just don't understand why it's taking so long. Nearly a year now --which I know it's long at all we already have DD so I guess we should be grateful.

MurtleTheTurtle · 13/05/2013 07:05

Good luck to everyone testing today. I did 2 more tests when I woke up and my lines are getting darker Grin broke the news to dh who confirmed that the lines were really there.

Feeling v excited and a bit 'omg, what have I done'.

I have some tests spare if anyone wants them? Just Internet cheapies but v reliable in my experience!!

WannaBeAMommy · 12/05/2013 23:06

Congrats to all the new expectent mommys. Still no.AF Grin
Its taking some effort to not do a test hehe just scared its a negative again Sad

Can I join! I'm only sort of ont the 2ww as DP and I only started trying to conceive DC2 this month and we only dtd once last weekend!

But I feel pretty rough and it made me wonder. It took 9 months to conceive DS1 so it would be a real turn up for the books if we achieved on the first go!

Unlikely though... but I have been very angry/emotional which I was like for the whole first trimester with DS. I cried my eyes out earlier because DS qas messing about not going for a nap, but that could just be major PMT+stress! After feeling so weird I checked my dates and it's just about possible I could be based on when we dtd (not helped by the fact not 100% sure when I last had period)

I also feel really tired and a bit sick earlier today... but that might be because I actually am really tired, and I don't feel sick now.

It messes with your head this ttc business..

Wow, congratulations to all the new bps!! My af is due tomorrow and I have resisted poas this month (for which I am very impressed at my self control) but if not af tomorrow then I will test on Tuesday. Feeling pretty crampy and wet down there (tmi) but each time I race off to the loo no sign of af at all. Have also been in a foul mood for two days, improved today but I have been unable to resist sarcasm and even dh looked shocked and patted my tummy as if I must be pg to be acting like such a bitch. Shock

Vassia · 12/05/2013 16:15

I was trying to last the whole 2 weeks but I totally caved. And to be honest I was expecting it to be a clear negative, but yesterday I was feeling exhausted, hungry, sore boobs, stuffy nose and I'd had some weird cramps feelings like you, pretty much everything I felt the last time I was pregnant. I figured that if my body was reacting this way, I must have a decent level of hormones in my system so it couldn't hurt. I'm just hoping its not twins!

Bikey86 · 12/05/2013 16:11

*dpo

Bikey86 · 12/05/2013 16:11

Vassia...did not realise you could test so early?? I'm 7 do and fighting the urge to test with internet cheapies but I have sort of burning/warm feeling in my lower tummy! Implantation cramps?? X

Vassia · 12/05/2013 16:02

Hi ladies, thanks very much. Turns out I was 8dpo yesterday not 6dpo, miscalculated! Have just done a first response test, still faint, but definitely 2 lines. Don't think I'll be entirely convinced til I see 2 dark lines though!

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their bfp, fingers crossed for you all Thanks

farmersdaughter · 12/05/2013 14:24

Congratulations vassia murtle wishing you a happy and smooth pregnancy Smile

Sun Grin @ hallucinations. So true. So have you had a clear bfn? Maybe best to wait a few days more. {arghh so tough}

Fingers I hear you, every month it's the same. But one day you'll get a BFP and you'll sit and look at it for 4 hours grinning from ear to ear.

5 days till AF is due for me, some pains this afternoon. However I'm feeling very hungry today. DH was Shock at how much lunch I had Blush

FingersCrossedLegsNot · 12/05/2013 12:46

I tested again today, bfn. It's 11 dpo so I'm trying to convince myself I'm not out yet but I'm feeling pretty negative, you wold think after over two years of disappointment I would be used to it! For tse of you with feint bfp best of luck....I hope try get darker, please update us!

ScienceGeekGirl · 12/05/2013 12:06

No luck here. But no AF here so if it still hasn't arrived in a few days will test again.

sunflowered · 12/05/2013 08:16

Congratulations vassia and murtle - really hope that those lines keep getting darker for you Smile

Bfn here so I think I imagined my (disappearing) line yesterday Blush. The more i've googled the more I've read that disappearing lines don't count... ttc should come with a health warning - risk of hallucinations!

MurtleTheTurtle · 12/05/2013 07:59

Good luck!! I can't wait to retest tomorrow. I keep pulling the test from the bin Shock and looking at it to make sure the very faint line hasn't vanished. It hasn't Grin

Keep us posted.

ScienceGeekGirl · 12/05/2013 07:43

Congrats both of you. Gonna test in a bit and I know the chances are very low but so nervous. Silly me

MurtleTheTurtle · 12/05/2013 07:26

Vassia, is it possible you ovulated earlier than you suspect? I have tested positive at 10dpo before and that was quite early!

I have just done 2 tests, one very faint positive - and I do mean faint. The other looked negative.

I'll have to re test tomorrow I guess! I am scared now, I have 3 dcs, what if I am mad to do this!

Anyone else testing today? Good luck.

Vassia · 11/05/2013 22:38

Hi ladies, been lurking for a few days, hope you dont mind if i pick your brains about this ttc/testing nonsense. I was due to test on the 17th, felt like crap today, totally caved and tested a wee while ago and a faint line appeared. Is that even possible?! At 6dpo? Really unsure what this means. Obv will test again tomorrow, but I didn't think it was possible to have a faint positive at this stage?

WannaBeAMommy · 11/05/2013 18:14

FingersCrossed Ive had a metallic taste in my mouth but could just be the microwave making the food taste that way. Hehe
Ive been tired and sick but choked with flu.hehe
Ive been eating alot, getting dizzy, waking up to pee during the night, tmi but boobs are sensitive too.

Dunno though could just be the least symptom im getting excited..... But scared.

Partner can see how hurt and stressed waiting is an wants to keep everything normal so family dont know lol

WannaBeAMommy · 11/05/2013 18:04

This is just the start of the second month of trying. Still no AF but its still possible that the pills still in my system. Haven't tested again as it hurts to see negatives and the longer I wait the greater the chance the test will pick up on it hehe

sunflowered · 11/05/2013 14:57

farmersdaughter that sounds like a good omen - maybe your body knows something you don't (yet) Smile

I caved in and bought some pound shop tests. There might have been a line there too, but it was sort of under the bit where the test strip is stuck to the bit you dip in the pot so don't know if that counts . Will bite the bullet and buy an early response test to do first thing tomorrow.

farmersdaughter · 11/05/2013 13:21

sun can you wait till tomorrow morning or have your broken?

I have cramping Hmm red witch not due for another few days yet. Had a lovely dream last night that I got a BFP and DH was jumping up and down! Only to awake with cramping pains Angry

sunflowered · 11/05/2013 09:35

Hi everyone, I know it's towards the end of the 2ww now (af is due for me tomorrow) but can I keep you company in the poas count down? After staying remarkably calm for the last 2weeks I stupidly poas this morning, got what could have been a line or more likely a figment of my imagination but then seemed to disappear. Now pacing around the house waiting until I can do another test and find out one way or another. Confused

WakeyCakey · 09/05/2013 22:04

You are definately still in with a chance fingerscrossed. I've read on here that loads of people didn't get BFP's until a couple of weeks late!

MrsBarlow · 09/05/2013 22:03

Cycle 2 here for us too - AF due 18th May, finding it so hard not to constantly symptom spot!!!

FingersCrossedLegsNot · 09/05/2013 21:58

WakeyCakey implantation can take place anytime between 6 to 12 dpo! Well I'm just after poas and getting a resounding bfn Sad so I'm not sure if I'm still in with a chance.....it's 8dpo for me today so possibly testing too early!!!
